What Is Meant by Chinese Modernisation?

  • Perhaps the most important theme to emerge from the CPC 20th Congress was Chinese modernisation. The idea of modernisation has been fundamental to China’s reform and opening up strategy ever since Deng Xiaoping. Chinese modernisation marks a major shift. China is now turning its thoughts from catching up with the West to what kind of modernisation does China need. It is a much broader idea at the heart of which is what China calls common prosperity: that China is too unequal and there needs to be a much greater emphasis on fairness and equity.

lol, the Chinese are smart, they don't care where it is from, if it is working then it is good. Chinese went to Nepal to bring back Buddhism and developed in Chinese chan Buddhism, which has Chinese Taoism more elements and remove some old Hindu caste system. communism was right for the Chinese in the past because china was invaded and humiliated and the Chinese were led to the slaughterhouse but today's communism has more Confucianism ( reforming) or characterism (win-win), early Chinese communism was brutal and took advantage of the peasants, Mao had turned china into peasant country but many Chinese communists turned against Mao's Stalinism too rigid but with reformed after Mao's death.. so we have modern Chinese system, there is no communism in the world, just name but it is socialism. There will be always problems in any countries in the world, including western countries and China, becuase we are human, who will always create new problems. Modernization is tied with the moral mindset of the people and leaders. Human civilization was modernized from time to time over many places. Japan produced some of the breathtaking modernization in contemporary world since the 19th century. China trumped the west's powerful propaganda with moral stand of 'prosperity for all' that earned support all over the world, beating the west, hollow. An ingenious strategy that helped the Chinese to topple the richest western nations, without firing a single shot. They even managed the only error correcting system in the whole world.

The term modernization does not necessarily mean westernization has been misinterpreted by western media and ideologues. This does motivate mean rejection 9f all western methods. It definitely mean no mimicking or mindless copying . It's as clever as can be for open minded people.
Don't expect every country to copy everything western methods. The policies and nethuds must be adjusted to cultural differences. Westerners shouldn't expect all their methods to be adapted mindlessly by all others.

China should continue it emphasize on beating the rest of world technologically and militarily. What come after should be a discussion for the day after achieving this objective.

China's Gini Coefficient from NBS data has been consistently 0.07 points above the US for over a decade (and steady, not falling), while the CFPS data shows an increasing divergence in Gini coefficient between China and US. This is not "more-or-less the same as America" (4:40). In fact, this is about equidistant with the difference between the US Gini coefficient and the lower Gini coefficients of Canada and Germany

The reason is not "Western" vs "Asian" development but Industrialization or the development of industrial forces of production with bourgeois social relations (China just delayed the report of its GDP until after the 20th congress - GDP is *labor-applied,* it is bourgeois right, labor as value, Locke) - this is the classic contradiction of forces and relations, that leads to the hollowing out of the production process (manifested in growing inequality) that has long been described by every Marxist (From Marx to Engels to Lenin to Plekhanov to Mao to Stalin to Kautsky to Martov - to literally anyone!), let alone non-Marxist socialists (Robert Owen or even Sismondi!). The impulse to invent infinite new "definitions" simply is an idealistic flight from reality

The races have taken different trajectories and their mental patterns have been selected for and conditioned in very distinct ways. I think the Caucasoids are more "schizophrenic," relying on abstract concepts like Platonic ideals and the Trinity, whereas the Mongoloids tend to see things more materially, with spirituality tied to the family, land, and common identity rather than distant abstract concepts. These abstractions are powerful but dangerous, because they can be easily manipulated and can become divorced from any practical consideration, the greatest example being the nihilistic philosophies of the 19th century to the guilt-based ideology of the modern "progressives." For the Mongoloid, ideology must have practical application tied to necessities. The Caucasoid lives more in his head and heart, while the Mongoloid lives more in his gut and groin. The rise of the Europeans was predicated on the destruction of much of Asia by the Mongols and Turks, which they were spared. With the other civilizations reaching the same level of advancement, we will now see which is the fittest.

A comparison between the US and China as regard to modernity and modernization from a different approach based on the levels of development of the three historical specie-octaves:
    1. As regard to the Historical Biocosmic Species, the Anglo Saxon Caucausiod of the US and the Han Mongoliod of China are more or less of the same level physically due to similar genetic configuration. Both Homo sapiens have ascended via the paleolithic, the neolithic and the modern man lineage, and should be ascending towards the Datong man at the Omega Point. However, the inner psychological and sociological crystallization of Han Mongoloid is deep and complex due to 5000 years of unintertupted wenming civilizational conditioning. Whereas the Anglo Saxon caucauciod has not enough of wenming civilizational conditioning only a few centuries of nomadic wenming civilizational conditioning in Europe and about 250 years of capitalistic nation-states civilizational conditioning.
2.As regard to the Historical Sociocosmic Species, China is an infantile SO-Historical Sociocosmic Species of Socialism proper, growing and gaining dominace whereas the US is a declining and losing dominance FA-Historical Sociocodmic Species of Capitalism. one level below in the Historical Sociocosmic Octave. The US needs a catch-up.
3.As to the Historical Technocosmic Species, both China and the US are on par. plus and minus, and all their technocosmic beings are of padrigines I, II snd III with their 3rd AI bodies still moving for perfection. None have reached the Omega Point where padrigine IV or padrigine individuals or spiritual AI robots have arisen to come-exist with the man.
Both the US and China are growing forward and should not invent a yardstick or an ultimate standard reference too early for slavish obedience. Modernity and modernization goed hand in hand in the threes.
