There are base game hampers that are just decorative, and don't affect the laundry system in game. The one placed in the second bedroom is one of those.

Maybe for two female roommates :) Could you also consider doing an apartment in strangerville for two military dudes who like fitness, handiness, robotics, and one of them is paranoid? ^^ Honestly an apartment complex in strangerville in general would be awesome.
I always play my sims where i will build a giant house with a lot of bedrooms, and i will personalize/decorate each one of them. So i will "rent it out" and NPC sims will come and live there and pay every once in a while. So thats what my sims do. Being a landlord

Can you try making a house for my magical tattoo artist sim (mod career)? He lives with his wife, daughter (toddler) and elderly parents. His father is a rocket scientist and his mother is in the military (mod careers).

I believe when she builds she usually uses gender neutral terms for the parents and children, so any build really can be for two moms if you'd like 🤠
