It was actually me that interrupted that attack in the vid, I was way further than the other tanks/ranged, I swear 80% don't even have interject on the bar
I blame shadow bringers and endwalker I can’t remember a lot of fights outside of Hermes in recent memory where interject did anything so tanks be lazy now when it comes to this
We need more fights that require intereupts/stuns or feints to dull the damage. We're level 100 and 7 expacs in. I think we are far more capable than just dragging our brain through an encounter.
We had so many people dead first day we barely managed to break the Paladin's shield, when we saw the Hume casting at 98%. It was 100% when we reached him and the cast bar DISAPPEARED because he was finished. Just a server tick later, the bar REAPPEARED and said "[INTERRUPTED]". I mean I usually hate latency so much in this game but in this one occasion... it saved us. It actually did save us. We cleared it not too long afterwards! One of the alliances of all time ngl.
We nearly wiped to meteor and also had 2 healer LB3s at shadow lord. It was spicy AF. Made me appreciate all that healers do since it was just me and a tank alive most of the fight lmao
This symbolism of this boss fight is a reference to the five playable races in final fantasy xi also the five cardinal sins promatha put into them envy cowardice apathy rage and arrogance
@@CosmicJack It's sort of all over XI, it's referenced throughout. Ark Angels themselves are from Rise of the Zilart which is the first expansion, but the sins aspect is more of a plot point in the 2nd expansion Chains of Promathia (that's why the expansion is named that, humanity is bound by these 'chains'). Prishe herself is also from that expansion.

i liked orbonne and the endwalker alliance raids but 100% this blows all of them out of the water. definitely at least on par with dun scaith for me (even though the rest of void ark is a slog)

That's right, I have written pretty much same sentence after we wiped to the non interrupted mechanic on the first day. That was aweseome!

They do spice things up a bit more!

They used to, couple of the old coil fights even required the dps to cycle stuns.
Never played 11, but I've had this stuck in my head for DAYS now from the new raid.

So uh how far do I have to get into xi before they start discussing this lore / the cardinal sins as part of the story?
