oh wow.. I have seen so many opposite advice to what you did.. and they really look like hardy plants as they should be.. haha.. I feel less afraid to get some lithops now.. I was worried that they might easily die.. thank you so much!
My new favorite channel right now😊. Question: After removing old roots, you wait 14 days before putting them into the new evironment? So they just on a table or somewhere for 14 days?
You can leave them in a well-ventilated shaded area for about a week. Leaving them for up to two weeks is also fine. After removing the old roots, if there are any potential wounds, placing them in a well-ventilated shaded area for 1 to 2 weeks will allow the wounds to heal. Direct sunlight can cause the Lithops to dry out, and poor ventilation may lead to rot.
It depends on the environment. I watered them using bottom watering and did it again once the soil dried out. If the soil remains continuously moist, mold can develop. Please refer to this video: th-cam.com/video/V-XYOKjxDbM/w-d-xo.html. Propagating through cuttings is the same for Lithops and Conophytum.
It is to provide nutrients through the fine roots. During the shedding period, Lithops usually get water and nutrients from the old leaves, but I am giving them water.

Thank you for watching! 🥰🙏 But I'm sorry, but it's hard to understand the translation…🥲 If you speak English, it will help me understand what you are saying.
They are always in a green house environment where the wind was blowing and the windows were open, so it was okay to water them while splitting. But if your environment is not dry, it's probably not good to water them while splitting. 🥲

I’m also learning new things through videos and experiments that are different from what I previously knew. ^^

how often did you water the propagated lithops during those 38 days? just one deep soak from the bottom or more often?

th-cam.com/video/V-XYOKjxDbM/w-d-xo.html 코노피튬 삽목영상인데 리톱스도 똑같아요!
Why do you water it if it is shedding leaves?
It is to provide nutrients through the fine roots. During the shedding period, Lithops usually get water and nutrients from the old leaves, but I am giving them water.
That's an enormous amount of organic matter in your soil. I'm amazed that you don't get more rot.
Hello!! 😊
All plants get their nutrients from organic soil, so I don't think lithops is an exception.

is it okay to water them when there's new growth?
I do water them, but it can vary depending on the environment
So informative! Which season do you start the propagation?
Thank you for watching!! 🥰🙏 Except for the summer when lithops is dormant, I propagate. 🤭🤭

How old is the old lithop?
It's not exact, but it’s over 6 years old.
