I hate it when people say that Dasom can't sing. She just has a really soft sweet voice that doesn't really suit big ballads like Hyorins voice. People need to stop acting like they know everything about singing; if Dasom couldn't sing well ( like lots of people say) she would never have been in sistar. All the girls in sistar have different voices and vocal ranges. Loads of people listen to hyolyns voice and compare it to Dasoms and say that Dasom can't sing, but it's not like she can't sing in tune or her voice cracks all the time. Also I don't even think people have really heard her sing because she gets hardly any lines. Hopefully their comeback this year, gives a chance for Dasom and Bora to have more parts. People seriously need to stop underestimating Dasom, saying she can't sing or dance because she can better than some other girls in kpop tbh.
Dasom is so nice and so is her voice! I'm just so upset that she doesnt have many lines and they r all pretty short too. I feel like Dasom is kind of like the Dara of SISTAR, they have very similar tones in their voices... very light and airy~ but that doesn't mean that they can't sing well, it's just that they have a different style compared to their other members. Dasom sort of like balances the strength of Hyorin and Soyu's voices and Bora's huskier voice.

hyorin was killin it with them high notes soyou's falsetto's made me spazz bora's small but cool and charismatic rap made me go "yAS GIRL" and dasom's voice sounded so clean and pure and made me have goosebumps UGH I LOVE SISTAR
From the title I thought this was gonna be a slightly awkward slowed down version of the original with just plain strumming chords on the guitar but wow this was incredible this completely shattered my expectations I wish more songs had acoustic versions like this

You think Hyorin gets all the line therefore she outshines everyone? Think again, in GITM Hyorin has less lines than Soyou, but she still shines the most. So it's not about the amount of lines. Hyorin has gotten plenty of recognition for her singing already, from both within the fandom and from other fandoms. SISTAR is also nothing without Hyorin. I made the point clear that the group functions as a group. None of the members would enjoy the success they have now if they went solo. I have never seen SISTAR as a vocal group. Davichi takes the cake. What about other idol groups like 2NE1? Or even Ladies' Code or SPICA? These groups all have powerful lead singers as well as many strong supporting vocalists. Actually in my opinion 2ne1 is alittle more fair because all of them have amazing voices it's just Bom is especially recognized. It's true that hyorin gets a lot of lines same with Soyu, but we have to accept they are lead singers so they have to in order to make the sing good. Bora isn't especially talented at singing or rapping but it's ok since she's meant to be dancer/visual. Dasom is the same but slightly better, but I think it's true dasom and bora need more recognition but it's understandable why hyorin and Soyu have the most lines
But they all are good at singing but the I think the weakest singing link is bora but I think it's ok because she does her part and works hard. Dasom is the same but she still tries hard too
So I'm just going to go on about Dasom seeing as how I don't really see people talking about her. So I have to say, Dasom really is improving and maybe it's just me being a weirdo but I've always enjoyed listening to Dasom recently. I really like her soft voice, it's almost really soothing. Yeap .. also, it's a GROUP, not a 4-solo bundle. And in GROUPS each have their strenghts. Hyorin and Soyou are the leads, Bora the rapper, Dasom the secondary. Don't expect Bora to go solo, don't expect Hyorin to rap, don't expect Dasom to solo either.... they COMPLEMENT each other, and that's what makes a GOOD GROUP
People really need to understand that more than the company, the composers and producers of Sistar's song also have every right to give which lines to which members. If someone doesn't sound as good, they won't get the lines it's simple as that. Hyorin gets the most lines because her voice probably fits the exact image and vision of these composers and producers. So quit complaining about the unfair line distribution because it will never change unless the other members step their singing game up. I actually think their job distribution is pretty fair if you look at the bigger picture because Bora has been active in so many areas of entertainment from MCing to acting to the point where she probably has no time to improve on her rap. Dasom was acting in a daily drama with over 100 episodes and Soyou was doing her collabs and was active in various variety shows, which leaves Hyorin who was pretty much on break just before the comeback. With Hyorin that girl is always practicing and trying to improve her music, so I think the company, composers and producers can see her passion for music and it shows when she singing Sistar's songs or any songs for the matter, so I don't even mind that she gets most of the lines because the songs will always be the best quality with her voice in it. I mean she sounds exactly the same in the studio and live which is so rare. Actually I think her voice sounds better live without all those echoes and edits. I think y'all need to stop hating on her and rather blame the composers and producers and the company and let's add in the general public for loving Hyorin's voice so much.
no one here is hating on her, what we're asking for isn't even much. Especially in bora's case, all I'm asking for is ten more seconds. That's all, and its literally nothing at all in the big picture. Maybe cause you're a hyorin stan that u didn't notice, but i find it almost impossibly to justify giving someone 7 seconds of crap every comeback. All I'm asking for is something similar to maboy, her line was not too long or too short in that song and it completely fit into the song as well. What I'm complaining about is that every sister song seems like they finished composing it then just added a 7 second rap part in it. One LAST YEAR and two this year, Soyou also had an OST this year coupled with starring in different variety shows, promoted "Some" for months etc. Bora was everywhere in terms of endorsements, hosting music bank,appearing on RUNNING MAN TWICE and starring in a drama. Hyorin went on a single showcase for her Matea CF, so??? You know what, I actually hope she used the long break she had this year to prepare for a solo comeback. She already composed songs and wrote 2 songs for Sistar. I can't wait to see more from her. The rap was my least fav from the song, maybe you should take your complaints to the producers since they decide what part fits who. It aint Hyorin's fault she possesses the type of vocals that can make any song sound decent.
Leah Light their promotions this year were pretty even except for soyou cause some was a smash hit! dasom fans should be the ones upset here. she only got her daily drama, 1 shoot, and 1 variety show appearance. Ask any dasom fan, she didnt get any activities cause of her drama which was not satisfying cause, well its a daily drama. I still find it hard to believe that u think that 7 seconds of a crap rapping part is fair, and half of the rap was interrupted by a part by hyorin. No, they were huge back then, even listed on korea forbes for most powerful act in 2015. Korea called them as Summer Queen and the title is stand still, they talked about sistar every year even after disbanded. But they're quite underappreciated

I'm a Caucasian old school metal head that being said those girls rocked it and mad respect for the kid on the acoustic. I love seeing great talent from genres I don't usually listen to.
hyorin is definitely the beyonce of this group but damn her voice is so flexible. every song they have her voice works so well for their songs. as for bora, i notice people are upset about her small part in the song but honestly rappers in kpop have very small roles when it comes to singing or boybands have more but girl groups they don't have very big roles when performing. bora to me is an okay rapper even though shes my biased her rapping has never really wowed me. even though bora doesn't shine in the song, she shines more than soyeon and dasom. shes usually always in the front and shes on variety shows the most.
This is why its so hard for solo artists in Korea to succeed after being in a group. This song is great with 4 people, but not so sure if just one person sang it. People are conditioned to hear the multiple voices.

In every group, there's bound to be members who are more popular than the rest. It's normal. In Sistar's case, It's Hyorin! Just accept it and move on! Each of them have talent. In every group the number of lines each member sings in their songs is different so please stop saying this is Hyolyn and her friends, she is the principal voice and of course needs to have more lines, with this acoustic version you just find out the four of them have talent.

Okay 1-Hyorin is a better rapper 2-Dasom rapped as well 3- composers choose who go give this line to who. Bora's rap is so "aegyo"-ish so it doesnt really fit to be the intro of the song. The line distribution goes like this: the composer gives lines to each member when recording and the member doesnt sing the part right or cant do the part the composer take the part and give it to another member!! So its not like they didnt want to give bora more lines but bora cant do the part well. Okay? Do you get it now? I LOVE bora i adore her.. But some people like make people say things they dont want to say!! Bora aslo cant sing to be given singing parts .. She's getting so much screentime and she's literally everywhere okay,. When is this shit about the line distribution gonna end? Commending about demanding even line distribution isn't going to make shit happen do you realize this? Hyorin is Sistars medicine and without her, they would be nothing. Therefore, she gets most of the lines. Your argument is somewhat irrelevant because first and foremost, Sistar is a singing group, not an acting or hosting group, therefore no one complains about who gets more acting or hosting gigs because that would be considered external individual activities. That's why people feel that it is unfair for other members to have far smaller parts and I would have to agree with that. Hyorin is good but the others are good too, maybe not as powerful as she is. Hyorin shines very brightly but the others shine too. They will not be nothing. And now they are given less opportunities to shine. It is disappointing for sistar fans.

Because Girl's Day is an image group. SISTAR is not. The reason Yura sings (weakly, might I add) and raps (mediocre rapper) is because DreamTea feels the need to have an unnecessary "rapper" in the group, even though they've clearly shown that they don't need a rapper. Bora cannot sing, but she's a far more better rapper than Yura. SISTAR is a vocally inclined group, so of course her parts are going to be a bit short. That does not, however, discredit her musical ability.

Actually, when Sistar19 appeared on Weekly Idol, Bora admits she can't sing well or can't sing at all. We all know she raps really well. On the other hand, Hyroin sings really great and we obviously know that. She shows what she is capable of when she also raps and sings ^^
I had to put down my phone and clap even though it won't be received. They truly are amazing. But I feel like most of it is sung by Hyolyn, the rest of the girls all have stunning voices and are incredibly talented, I think they can be included in more.
I like this version a lot more because you can really hear Soyu and Dasom in the Chorus rather than Just Hyorin. Don't get me wrong, Hyorin is my bias, but in here, all of them have like an equal amount of shining except for Bora. Bora should get more rapping lines at least. Like in Lead me. That song was absolute perfection.

I hate it when people say that Dasom can't sing. She just has a really soft sweet voice that doesn't really suit big ballads like Hyorins voice. People need to stop acting like they know everything about singing; if Dasom couldn't sing well ( like lots of people say) she would never have been in sistar. All the girls in sistar have different voices and vocal ranges. Loads of people listen to hyolyns voice and compare it to Dasoms and say that Dasom can't sing, but it's not like she can't sing in tune or her voice cracks all the time. Also I don't even think people have really heard her sing because she gets hardly any lines. Hopefully their comeback this year, gives a chance for Dasom and Bora to have more parts. People seriously need to stop underestimating Dasom, saying she can't sing or dance because she can better than some other girls in kpop tbh.

I feel like Dasom is kind of like the Dara of SISTAR, they have very similar tones in their voices... very light and airy~ but that doesn't mean that they can't sing well, it's just that they have a different style compared to their other members. Dasom sort of like balances the strength of Hyorin and Soyu's voices and Bora's huskier voice.

This shit again? I swear to god every single time Sistar or Sistar19 makes a comeback there are always complaints about lines distribution. You think Hyorin gets all the line therefore she outshines everyone? Think again, in GITM Hyorin has less lines than Soyou, but she still shines the most. So it's not about the amount of lines. It's about stage presence, talents, commitment and dedication. Hyorin gives her best EVERY SINGLE TIME, not ONCE has she ever half-assed any performance. and in every comeback she gets sick for being overworked. You guys would all be like "Hyorin stole all the lines" but have you ever considered the hardwork Hyorin has to put into every single performance to bring it EVERY TIME? Hyorin didn't choose the lines, the composers give certain lines to certain member because HE UNDERSTANDS THEIR ABILITIES. It's about making the song as good as possible, not about fair distribution. You're really naive if you think fairness is how the industry SHOULD work. Bora is a rapper, of course she can't get a 1 minute or more rap in a 3:33 song, Dasom is improving so she gets more lines, Soyou's lines stay the same. Hyorin pulled SISTAR out of nuguland and CLAIMED SISTAR's status as a vocal group, never forget that.
Don't raise Hyorin above the rest then. Yes, the industry is not divided up fairly, but if you want to make an argument about fairness and hard work, then evaluate everybody the same. Why emphasize the point that she gives her best every single time? I'm sure the other members are all working hard together to have a successful promotion as a group. If Hyorin didn't have SISTAR as a platform, I doubt her career would be as successful as it is now. Think about how many solo female artists actually have regular promotions over a long period of time. Groups just fair better.

So I have to say, Dasom really is improving and maybe it's just me being a weirdo but I've always enjoyed listening to Dasom recently. I really like her soft voice, it's almost really soothing. People really need to understand that more than the company, the composers and producers of Sistar's song also have every right to give which lines to which members. If someone doesn't sound as good, they won't get the lines it's simple as that. Hyorin gets the most lines because her voice probably fits the exact image and vision of these composers and producers. So quit complaining about the unfair line distribution because it will never change unless the other members step their singing game up. I actually think their job distribution is pretty fair if you look at the bigger picture because Bora has been active in so many areas of entertainment from MCing to acting to the point where she probably has no time to improve on her rap. Dasom was acting in a daily drama with over 100 episodes and Soyou was doing her collabs and was active in various variety shows, which leaves Hyorin who was pretty much on break just before the comeback. With Hyorin that girl is always practicing and trying to improve her music, so I think the company, composers and producers can see her passion for music and it shows when she singing Sistar's songs or any songs for the matter, so I don't even mind that she gets most of the lines because the songs will always be the best quality with her voice in it. I mean she sounds exactly the same in the studio and live which is so rare. Actually I think her voice sounds better live without all those echoes and edits. I think y'all need to stop hating on her and rather blame the composers and producers and the company and let's add in the general public for loving Hyorin's voice so much.

no one here is hating on her, what we're asking for isn't even much. Especially in bora's case, all I'm asking for is ten more seconds. That's all, and its literally nothing at all in the big picture. Maybe cause you're a hyorin stan that u didn't notice, but i find it almost impossibly to justify giving someone 7 seconds of crap every comeback. All I'm asking for is something similar to maboy, her line was not too long or too short in that song and it completely fit into the song as well. What I'm complaining about is that every sister song seems like they finished composing it then just added a 7 second rap part in it.
Hyorinm also has a ton of activities so please dont try to justify this by saying that the others are more active in variety. In the past year she has had her own album, multiple OST's under her belt, colab with mad clown, multiple cf deals with her own freaking music video for some and for the others she actually went on showcases for the product were she performed for them. One LAST YEAR and two this year, Soyou also had an OST this year coupled with starring in different variety shows, promoted "Some" for months etc. Bora was everywhere in terms of endorsements, hosting music bank,appearing on RUNNING MAN TWICE and starring in a drama. Hyorin went on a single showcase for her Matea CF, so??? You know what, I actually hope she used the long break she had this year to prepare for a solo comeback. She already composed songs and wrote 2 songs for Sistar. I can't wait to see more from her. The rap was my least fav from the song, maybe you should take your complaints to the producers since they decide what part fits who. It aint Hyorin's fault she possesses the type of vocals that can make any song sound decent.

I'm a Caucasian old school metal head that being said those girls rocked it and mad respect for the kid on the acoustic. I love seeing great talent from genres I don't usually listen to.
hyorin is definitely the beyonce of this group but damn her voice is so flexible. every song they have her voice works so well for their songs. as for bora, i notice people are upset about her small part in the song but honestly rappers in kpop have very small roles when it comes to singing or boybands have more but girl groups they don't have very big roles when performing. bora to me is an okay rapper even though shes my biased her rapping has never really wowed me. even though bora doesn't shine in the song, she shines more than soyeon and dasom. shes usually always in the front and shes on variety shows the most.

In every group, there's bound to be members who are more popular than the rest. It's normal. In Sistar's case, It's Hyorin! Just accept it and move on! Each of them have talent. In every group the number of lines each member sings in their songs is different so please stop saying this is Hyolyn and her friends, she is the principal voice and of course needs to have more lines, with this acoustic version you just find out the four of them have talent.

Okay 1-Hyorin is a better rapper 2-Dasom rapped as well 3- composers choose who go give this line to who. Bora's rap is so "aegyo"-ish so it doesnt really fit to be the intro of the song. The line distribution goes like this: the composer gives lines to each member when recording and the member doesnt sing the part right or cant do the part the composer take the part and give it to another member!! So its not like they didnt want to give bora more lines but bora cant do the part well. Okay? Do you get it now? I LOVE bora i adore her.. But some people like make people say things they dont want to say!! Bora aslo cant sing to be given singing parts .. She's getting so much screentime and she's literally everywhere okay,. The other members are not on tv as much as bora she gets the most air time and goes to every show out there.. While the other members are no where. So you should be thankful instead of whining !! Hyorin did nothing wrong to deserve all the shit you are giving her!! Hyorin got sistar's name out there she works so hard she gets sick everytime bcs she never stops working!! Just support your bias if you dont want to support hyorin or the group without whining every time and bashing the most talented member

When is this shit about the line distribution gonna end? Commending about demanding even line distribution isn't going to make shit happen do you realize this? Hyorin is Sistars medicine and without her, they would be nothing. Therefore, she gets most of the lines. I don't see people complaining Hyorin not getting acting gigs... oh yeah, that's because that's DASOMS thing. I don't see people complaining that Hyorin doesn't get hosting gigs... oh yeah, that's because that BORAS thing... Does this make sense? Your argument is somewhat irrelevant because first and foremost, Sistar is a singing group, not an acting or hosting group, therefore no one complains about who gets more acting or hosting gigs because that would be considered external individual activities. That's why people feel that it is unfair for other members to have far smaller parts and I would have to agree with that. Hyorin is good but the others are good too, maybe not as powerful as she is. Hyorin shines very brightly but the others shine too. They will not be nothing. And now they are given less opportunities to shine. It is disappointing for sistar fans.

With girl groups I usually like one or two girls but I love all of Sistar. All four of them have their own charms and beauty I really enjoy listening to them

Because Girl's Day is an image group. SISTAR is not. The reason Yura sings (weakly, might I add) and raps (mediocre rapper) is because DreamTea feels the need to have an unnecessary "rapper" in the group, even though they've clearly shown that they don't need a rapper.
Bora cannot sing, but she's a far more better rapper than Yura. SISTAR is a vocally inclined group, so of course her parts are going to be a bit short. That does not, however, discredit her musical ability.

Actually, when Sistar19 appeared on Weekly Idol, Bora admits she can't sing well or can't sing at all. We all know she raps really well. On the other hand, Hyroin sings really great and we obviously know that. She shows what she is capable of when she also raps and sings ^^
I had to put down my phone and clap even though it won't be received. They truly are amazing. But I feel like most of it is sung by Hyolyn, the rest of the girls all have stunning voices and are incredibly talented, I think they can be included in more.

I like this version a lot more because you can really hear Soyu and Dasom in the Chorus rather than Just Hyorin. Don't get me wrong, Hyorin is my bias, but in here, all of them have like an equal amount of shining except for Bora. Bora should get more rapping lines at least. Like in Lead me. That song was absolute perfection.
