    Been painting for 20 years now. I've seen the rollers with poles you can fill with paint to roll with but never a auto mechanical paint roller. Thanks for showing this.

    Let’s get this guy some likes! So great to have someone putting great info in our industry out. I always have the thought to do it but I’m so focused on getting the job done I never do a video so I appreciate it. Your time is valuable

    Painting over wallpaper sure is a lot easier than tearing it all down and skim coating it. Sometimes the customer doesn’t seem to understand how much goes into tearing off paper and completely redoing the wall to the point where it looks good. We put it in the bid that the time and cost will be conditional on how bad of shape the walls are in. We just did a dental office and the job took like a month longer tearing off the paper than if we just painted it. It was a huge pain in the butt having to work around their dental equipment

    In the future you can use tuffhide dry wall filler will hide the wall paper and I always use an 18” roller when I power roll I use the power roller to load the wall and the 18” to lay it off ..

    I've had nothing but trouble with power rolling. Like you said the nap is really bad. But I didn't realize I could use tape to delint it.

      Its good if you have long corridors can have someone with power roller applying while someone comes behind and cleans it up back rolling

      @@RP-se9lf yeah that's kind of the problem I encountered. You got to roll it again and again and again.

    Can you do a comparison of spraying vs power rollers? I've got a knockdown ceiling, and walls.

    By the time your setting up Sprayer , your already rolling, and by the time to clean up sprayer and pole your already done with Old school Rolling.
    I think for A lot of sq footage will work best , but for couple rooms Old school Rolling will work best!
    I just tell it like it is!!!

      I am not a professional painter, but flip houses. I can paint all the interior walls myself in a day with a titan feed roller. Roll time is diminished to nothing. Cleanup/setup about 15 min.

    • @TheValuablepainter
      @TheValuablepainter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mph5896 will work for A lot of Sq footage, complete Interior yes,
      but not for 1 room or couple rooms. You will roll 2 rooms faster then putting Feed roller.

      + being able to switch poles for closets & stairwells & smaller spaces goes a long way, I would always want a back roller behind me with a tray for smaller spaces

    • @TheValuablepainter
      @TheValuablepainter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@quantom3392 exactly. Another + old school style you need a bucket 🪣 & pole your good to go!
      Feed roller, You need Gun, pole, hose, Graco sprayer, extension cord + electricity ⚡️ , bucket 🪣 of water to clean, energy bill ect
      Like a said , if you have a lot of square footage to paint yes it will be good, but for Rooms.

    Awesome video thank you for this. I was curious about these. There are those Mickey mouse plastic clam shell roller sleeve keepers. I bet that would work for a few stops.

    Do they have a 14 or 18" version of these?

    • @jimeneazy5999
      @jimeneazy5999 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not with the innerfed roller. Graco does make an 18" jet roller which is basically just a roller attachment on a spray tip. Can't tell you how well they work because I've never used one.

    Tried this few new construction jobs. Compared it with 18” rollers. This was much faster and easier. Specially on new drywall where using a lot of material. You can set up your sprayer on 1st floor and paint with this on 5th floor, no 5 gallon buckets to carry. The only problem is it doesn’t have microfiber rollers. One coat of primer and two coats of finish even the 3/8 leaves a big texture on smooth walls.

    I just use this on a ceiling last week, way too heavy, my crew try it for 3 mins and give up, i finish 2 ceilings with this roller. Decide to sell the roller and the Titan 440 which I brought last year. I spend 30+ hours to learn how to use sprayer,doesn't work out for me. Too many limitations to use in a residential project
