Having waited a few weeks myself after wrapping up Steins Gate and not knowing in the slightest where Steins Gate 0 would be taking us, I went into episode 23β as clueless as you probably could. I really don't think I was prepared for the realization that we'd actually continue on from where Okarin failed his mission and would try to move on. What a setup for Steins Gate 0, I really wonder if we're gonna see Okarin work all the way up to sending himself that videomail at the end of the new show then! We're already on episode 16 of Steins;Gate 0 over on www.Patreon.com/Robinoyo, so go and check it out! Thanks for watching :)
I think you figured it out but yeah, this Okarin is the one who made the video when he’s 33. Basically, Steins;Gate 0 is this Okarin who was so defeated after realising he killed Kurisu that he didn’t want to relive Kurisu constantly dying, he just gave up. Steins;Gate 0 is basically the story of the Okarin from this episode, what happened that leads up to him sending that message to his past self that we see at the end of episode 23. That’s why people say an alternative way to watch the show is to watch up to episode 22, then watch 22B to see Okarin fails, then watch Steins;Gate 0 to see the continuation of that Okarin, then go back and watch the last 2 episodes of Steins;Gate original. I still think watching it in release order is best for the first time. You already know the end of the story but it’s still interesting to see all the events that lead up to Okarin sending the video file back when he’s 33. Hope you’re enjoying Steins;Gate 0 so far! I’d say it’s a very worthwhile sequel/prequel/whatever it technically is! Similar to the original it’s a bit slow paced initially but some of the later episodes when it’s all getting pieced together are fantastic, and I personally enjoyed just spending more time in the world and with the gang anyway
Haha must've been a shock to realize that! I probably wouldn't have known either tbh if it wasn't for people making sure to tell me in what order to watch the show :)
Man, I remember getting so confused, why the f*** our Mad Scientist turned into Sad Scientist lol. Eventually I learned the 23B is exist after I finished the 0
Robinoyo! you know, i think that you heard from a lot of people that steins gate 0 is just a what if scenario, but it's actually not a what if scenario
man, check the drama cd if you're interested its so many and someone already translating and upload it in youtube basically its like what if or what happen after... its not visual but like audio cd. for example like what if hiyajou maho meet the labmem while kurisu still alive
It breaks my heart that I never find a reacter who goes the β-0-S1 24 route. That's how I watched Steins;Gate, and it made it so much more immersive. Knowing S1 24's plot removes any intruige from S;G 0. Still enjoyable, I'm sure, but, I hate knowing the end while on the journey.
Could not disagree with you more. All media should be consumed in release order, no exceptions, because that is the INTENDED viewing experience, and therefore automatically the most optimal. The whole point of steins gate 0 isn't "where is this going to end up?" The question is why and how. Watching 0 after finishing season one makes the most sense and is perfectly enjoyable.
The author intended for the series to be watched in release order. Chronological order is better for rewatch instead. This is the same case as Monogatari Series
@@muhammadrifaie9577 Nah man. The first time I watched it was in chronological order, and the impact it had was way better than what it would've if I'd have watched it in release order. Chronological order gives a long show with perfect ending. He now wouldn't feel as much sad about kurisu, coz he knows that she's alive.
@@tejassm6652 "he now wouldn't feel as much sad for Kurisu" which basically defeats the point of watching it in chronological order. You're supposed to see Okabe in depressed and hopeless state all day long which aligned with the sad scientist theme😂

@@RobinoyoReacts yeah I was like, bro?????? “Wym 1x23B I thought it was straight into steins;gate 0…” I guess I’m a fake fan now :(
You'd be so surprised at how many people doesn't know Steins;gate 0 and the movie exists, even if it's one of their favorite shows.

this is the reason why people(including me) recommend watching ep 23 and 24 after finishing sg0 as it feels more in order

@@muhammadrifaie9577 but he will be depressed in sg0 also now you know the ending so the events happening will have less impact
