    Got quite the projects there.. The green one should be a smooth..ish resto
    The engine differences between ‘89 H1/‘90 H2 are different carbs, 36mm v 38mm, exhausts are different, 4:2:1 for the H1 and a 4:1 for the H2. You can fit an H1 exhaust to an H2, but it covers the differing oil filter cartridge v H1 spin off filter.
    The engine itself has many of the race parts fitted to the H2 over the original H1, bigger valves, wider ports, lighter pistons & rods for higher rpm…
    The mirrors are of course colour coded on the H2, and there’s a ZXR/ZX7R decal on the rear seat cowl of the H2. The H1 doesn’t have this decal..
    I managed to find 2 complete H2 exhaust systems for my H2 last year.. the 2nd one has some scrapes on the silencer which I’m trying to wet sand and buff out as much as possible. Parts for these bikes, like you said, are getting very hard to find now. And when you do find something, it comes with a heavy ZXR tax attached 🫣
    Nice purchases there all the same 👏🏼

    We are so alike in respect to spending money on projects like this. The way I look at it. You have the bikes, your going to restore them. Just buy the parts now that you think or know you need. If you see what you want, buy it. The parts for these classics are getting so hard to come by. Then you have them and your not waiting when you start.

    One of my favorite channels… I have a small collection of running and non running restoration projects. I’m curious if you would share your program for keeping multiple motorcycles fresh once finished. Do you have a start and ride schedule? Favorite battery/ trickle charge combo? Fuel additives?also, do you have any other social media pages that we can follow? Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the ZX7 H1&2 restoration

    • @true-moto-resto
      @true-moto-resto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks a lot, I’m not in other social media at all (yet)
      Most of the bikes are in a run schedule, any that I run are filled with ethanol free fuel and Stabil fuel additive, all are on deltran battery tenders . My more recent restos are dry stored with no fuel, oiled tanks and no battery. Makes storage easier
      The fueled bikes all have to have fuel charges annually
      Maybe I should do another video on that, I do one a while back but not sure how much detail i went into

    Of course the 89 is missing all the can’t find parts. With all the 3d printing you think someone could make that hugger. Or the coolant bottles

    • @true-moto-resto
      @true-moto-resto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a French company making the rear fenders (460 euros +shipping ) and coolant bottles (260 euros +shipping). But no one making the hugger.
      They also make the upper cowl infill panels
      Too bad they’re so expensive
      initial setup for scanning a hugger would be pricey I would think. Maybe in future it will become more affordable and more common for the average person with a 3D printer

    The Blue appears to have wrong ignition in the bike. The key doesn't match the tank. So, the anti theft is probably the issue.

    • @true-moto-resto
      @true-moto-resto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh? They had anti theft on them ? I’m not sure if the key was miss matched to be honest. The gas cap cylinder lock was just seized really badly . Even with the wafers drilled out, it took a screwdriver and pliers and a lot of back and forth to get it to turn. How would I know it’s the right ignition switch? Would the switch be talking to the anti-theft ? As I’m sure they never had keys with chips back then.

      @true-moto-resto The Infamous Grey Wire. Will need to order an OEM or get a resistor. That's saying the one in there is not OEM. But, that should do. 6v on that wire to the CDI or TCI.... as if I know. Anyway. I hope to get a bit of time on this one here. Best Wishes

    Could you 3D print a rear wheel hugger??

    • @true-moto-resto
      @true-moto-resto  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could yes. Problem is the cost to get one scanned is crazy $. Then you need one from someone willing to loan it for scanning . There is a company in France selling rear fenders (not the hugger) and they’re 460 euros + shipping . So a one off scan and print for a hugger would be big $. But not impossible.
