I laughed way too much every time 'The ugly oooooone' sounded off. Especially liked the little note above their head changing for each shot. Great lesson as always.
thanks for the Refresher ... Use all those in tandem and in both Major & Minor Keys... The Trick is to be able to Utilize each position to lead to the next fluently ...
I know...he cracks me up!!! He has a way of explaining things so no matter what your skill level is, you WILL get something out of watching him. Exceptional player and very entertaining...

Hey Ben. Thanks for the vid man. Played along and really learned some stuff today. Question - do you mind sharing what your picking pattern is for when you start to speed up those arpeggio shapes? 9:20. Thanks friend!
Thank you so much Uncle Ben! This gave me a lot of XP points in a new skill tree! Side comment, I never get your videos popping in my main youtube page. That algorithm has got something against you pal, or as they might say if questioned, its just a coincidence.
How about we take a look at Emperors 'I am the black wizards'. This 4 Note Tremolo Picking is a massive challenge, that might be interesting to take a look at
I find these things easy i do it 70 percent okay on my acoustic but im struggling with technical difficulties by pg the picking stuff can you show us how you play the picking on technical difficulty on a acoustic guitar that will help us in a million times more it will be the best lesson on picking my loving brother please think about what I said in this comment english is not my native language please think about what I just said it will help hundreds of guitarists that wants to get a good picking technique 😊❤
Great video. Very informative. I'm just having trouble picking it at faster speeds 😅. I've been trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong with my picking technique bc I seem to get caught in the strings alot when trying to fast alternate back. What kind of technique are you using here exactly? I've watched your picking videos too but it hasn't clicked yet 😂
Yooooo! I'm on the west coast so I'm not sure how Knoxville is doing compared to places like nearby Ashville that we're seeing on the news here. Any damage at your place? Everybody in one piece?
"the first thing you have to understand about arpeggios is thirds." hey Ben, one thing I don't understand is why this depends on thirds? In your example, why can't you ascend up the fretboard using any of the intervals in the A major scale? Sorry if this is a dumb question!
Also if you are playing with a friend, get them to play the arpeggio a position higher or lower for easy dual lead harmony
Also that!
Next: arpeggios from hell made easy
One does not simply arpeggio an easy hell
@@BenEller Not with ten thousand pick strokes could you do this. It is folly.
Or keys of the Lamborghini
Them arpeggimos sounding great

"Could ya' hand me my milk crate?"
Thank you Benopher, I feel maybe one day I really can widdly widdly widdly more better now
Uncle Ben explains things so even a step mom can do it!! Best lessons on the net! If I can become 1/2 as good as he is, I'd be very happy!!

Damn. Paul Gilbert tried to explain this to me for years but it never stuck. well played Uncle Ben.
This helped me so much. I've always struggled with the arpeggios and just suck at them . Not anymore! Ripping and tearing in Texas

Nice! Just more stuff for the guitar tool box! Thanks Uncle Ben!

Knoxville didn’t get hit at all, we are very lucky. My heart breaks for Asheville and the other towns that got the worst of it.
NGL, I was waiting for you to call it a 5th 😂.
I feel like this video tried to insult both my intelligence and attention span, but jokes on you it was actually dead on for both!
wait....

Sounds like it's time for an upgrade. I'm sure Tim Apple can comp you one since I have no doubt he's a subscriber of your channel 🍏

Excellent lesson. Kind of a light bulb moment for me.

Because an arpeggio is made of the notes of a chord, and a chord is based around the thirds and fifths
