True Story: My daughter's Great Grandpa was the Head Chef at Dollywood. He said she treated all her employees and everyone. That to me, says a lot about her. She really is a living legend.
I've heard the same thing from even the souvenir sellers. She never really hung in the fame crowds or lingered in the light too much and I think that kept her humility and humanity grounded and alive. Plus keeping your private life separate probably helps a lot. Today so many trying to profit or get famous from their private lives, even their kids.
My sister and I saw her 20 years ago or so at Dollywood in one of the restaurants by herself, on her way somewhere in the park and she very graciously stopped and spoke to us! I didn’t realize at the time how lucky we were!! 🤩

Not a single question about her artistry, craft, or new album. Disappointed in the fact that they had to conform to very predictable and stereotypical questions about hair, make-up, etc. when it comes to women in the media.
I think because the show is trying to cater to housewives, I'm guessing it was aired during the day on a weekday. But yes, I feel sorry for Parton, a musical genius, always getting asked about her looks, and only her looks. The sexism is rampant and no doubt behind all her plastic surgery and weight issues. Luckily she has amazing strength to live and give beyond those obstacles.

My wife and I went to this current tour, and honestly, it really was the best , most entertaining overall concert I've ever seen. Her storytelling. Her banter with the crowd. Her musicianship, and of course her voice. When she sang Little Sparrow...good Lord!
