Now, this is specifically a pressure blower, but we’re looking at the type of blades. These blades are radial in that they’re straight from the outside of the wheel all the way through the hub. This is the hub of the wheel, this is where the shaft goes through, and this is a straight blade through the hub. These types of wheels are ideal in situations where you don’t know if you’re going to have a clean operation, or if you definitely know it’s going to be dirty. This type of blade is called a self-cleaning blade because as it goes around and moves product through it, nothing hangs up on the blade edges.
