Took me a few days to get over the "shock of the new" but the design has really grown on me already and I love the looks. Brave decision really breaking new ground in design but I think its paid off.
That is ridiculously impressive, Mr. Bedinghaus, Sr. Design Engineer, and Trek!! "Ridiculously" as in every--single--millimeter--of riding--technicality--is and was considered when designing this beautiful road bike

I saw these in person at the Trek dealer. I am into car racing and have attended indy car / champ car races, and seen formula 1 cars at auto shows. This bike looks like it was designed and made by an indy car chassis maker or formula 1 team. It just has that look of function happening to dictate beautiful form.
Usual issue with many of the lastest aero bikes a costly replacement of bar stem combo to get width & reach required. I am reasonably vertically challenged, but the recommended bike size comes with a 42 bar which even with the fare is still wider than the 38 I usually ride with.
Will you offer 360 wide and 70mm long bars?? Small people need love too.

Old iso speed really good IT can be adjusted to our needs and road conditions weight of the rider is can vary the comfort it is great idea to reduce the weight with the old iso speed

I'm trying to understand why the bike company would point the airstream at rider instead of the bike? Would you want them punching iso speed holes through your chest for aerodynamic gain?

I'm not a roadie but i love technological advancements on bikes and for madone by removing the isospeed and replace it with isoflow tech this somewhat became more simple tech but also have more aerodynamic improvement like they said sometimes simpler is Better. Improvements & inmovation like this from trek is what separates trek from the rest, trek makes the best even better, no gimmick just pure improvement with their industry leading tech it's the Real Deal. Isospeed, isoflow, isostrut, drcv, reaktiv and thrushaft shocks etc. all of trek's next level tech Both Mtb and road are absolutely ahead of it's time, unparalleled and simply the Best.
Yet still getting beat by specialized in the tour de France ATM lol
@@pilikiosuafoa1727 hahaha😂 that's a very different topic, we can't use it for basis/comparisons for bike vs bike, in that case that's all about the human racer not about the bike but for bike vs bike 100% Trek's aero bike is simply the best but that doesn't mean the spec's aero Road bike is good or bad it's considered to be the 2nd best aero. But for TDF atm it's still going not yet done, trek's own segafredo team racers is on top 20.

Aerodynamics matter 49x more than weight does up to about a 9% grade.

Although I have my own bike weight targets (anything in the 7 kg range is enough for me, I can't ride anything lighter), I'm no weight weenie because I prefer aero over weight.
I don't give a hang about the UCI regulations, limits or bs because I am not a professional biker. But I agree it's overpriced but if you make £1,380,000 a year it's cheaper than a Ferrari 488. Let's have a great ride on the bike nobody envies. Have a nice weekend.

I suspect you shouldn’t or can’t draw comparisons between them, motorbikes/cars are mass produced and involve a lot of machines/automation to reduce production costs - this is not the case with fancy modern carbon road bikes yet I don’t think.

@@AlistairLattimore Actually Peak Torque did some research into that. And it's really disgusting how similar those two actually are. Trek charges 8000 USD for a damn 105 Version of the bike. This is 100% no longer acceptable. Imagine paying 8k and getting mediocre components on your bike.

I mean they will do everything to justify making the bikes so much more expensive every year. And yes sadly people who doesnt understand that rimbrakes are for 99.9% as good as disc brakes while they are so much easier to service and not being pain in the ass.

The new Madone has an asymmetrical fork. That is, the wheel is at the top of fork not exactly in the middle. I personally find that not so nice. One also finds no info about it.

I really like the looks of it, but I still don't get the bike companies' claim of x seconds faster every y hour (not even distance) at z speed.
Picked up my mates SLR 7 today. Boy is it heavy.
I have a 2016 Madone - and it's really not a fast bike because TREK is super slow with spare parts. For examplen it seems they dont even produce wheels with rim brakes....
And every time i need a new part, they only want to sell the complete set (not just a screw, but the complete brakes / or the complete handlebar for a crazy prize).
So kudos for all your innovation but the basics (for bikes with a 5 figure price tag....) you habe not covered.

Indeed that is nose bleed steep in price. My first Trek was a 560 Pro Series with total 105 group. Out the door at the Trek dealer......$550.00 Of course that was back in 1987 but OMG 20 times the price??????
I thought you were joking at first, but I checked the site and you’re not totally wrong. The “most affordable” model with 105 di2 is $8k. Insanity. I miss the simple days where a race ready bike was accessible to even the $1k-$1.5k price bracket. Wish I scored a nice bike back then, but such is life

So when I am riding my felt f85 45kph I will be 60s later than somebody on a trek riding the same 45kph? I thought that velocity is the measure of speed.

According to what I’ve read slower riders are actually saving more than the claimed time savings, but they test at higher speeds to increase the accuracy of the wind tunnel data.

Sorry, all my bikes are Trek, but sorry how can you check the aerodynamics on it if you're fixing the frame in a straight fixed line??? no offence but that already is daft you have to ride it on a roller trainer and then see it moving as if on the road so no offence but that right to left back and forth could be worse why on earth did you not think of that??
