Hi, creator of the original video here 👋 This is the first reaction video to my content, as far as I'm aware, and you did a great job. I really enjoyed it 😁 And thanks for helping spread awareness of the missing episodes!
Thanks very much mate and your video is awesome. I really like your documentary style and I admire your effort to get the show back on streaming services or TV (especially as I am a father to 2 young kids, so I now how important good, educational shows can be for kids compared to some modern day children's media). Keep up the good videos!!
@@MertNor I've got two young ones myself, 4.5 year old girl and 1.5 year old boy. There are still some really good recent shows. I really like Bluey. But the education in that is probably more about life in general than specific knowledge-based teaching. Thanks, I will! Working on a huge video about the Norwegian translation of the Harry Potter books right now. Gonna be over an hour, I'm finding more and more interesting stuff the more I research it.
I'm a retired train engineer and I actually was driving the Sesam Train for a year on Sundays. Drove it from Lillestrøm to Lørenskog(Sesam Stasjon) and spent a few hours driving back and forth with children in track one closest to the station building before returning to Lillestrøm. One Sunday I made the mistake of letting one kid use the horn on the lokomotive. Suddenly there was a huge line of kids who also wanted to try the horn. I don't think the citicens of Lørenskog was very happy with me that Sunday 😂
Max Mekker mekker max! Max is a great guy, there's nothing he can't fix. Not sure why, but I might have gotten myself into the line of superintendent partially because I loved Max Mekker.:D PS: Olsenbanden is the greatest movie franchise in Norway, it's crime, action, humor and eventually Egon ends up in jail and then in the next movie HE HAS A PLAN! They're great. If a person don't like Olsenbanden it's like not eating Brunost, you're not REALLY Norwegian.
The original Olsenbanden was great, and absolutely worth to watch, but I don't know if you can find one with english subtitles. I guess you probably can..
I grew up with Sesam Stasjon, and it was an entertaining show in my opinion. I sill have that "Digger deg" song on my head sometimes 30+ years later xD And also, Olsenbanden was epic
I watched this show during my childhood, loved it, still do! :P Some of the melodies/songs are still stuck in the brain, and if anyone starts to hum the melody, someone else will most certainly finish with you :P I have to say, there are incredibly many people making reaction videos, but your channel is one of the few I really like. I find your approach to the way you react is so comfortable. You don't stop at every 10 seconds, only a few times, and you actually react to what you are watching as it continues. Look forward to more of your content. keep up the good work! :D
olsenbanden is a classic. You could call it a family heist movie. Very funny, pg for the most, and not a lot of violence or blood. The characters are iconic and so are all the actors to most norwegians who watched them. They usually send at least 3 of them around christmas.
Several of the Olsenbanden movies are shown every holiday like advent, Christmas week, new year weekend, Easter, 17th of May, and so on. I can't remember a holiday without finding a Olsenbanden movie on one of the TV2 channels. Especially on the days with only aid organization advertising.
Huh, had no idea Sesam Stasjon was completely unavailable these days. That's unfortunate. I've still got the darn jingles stuck in my head, no matter how many decades pass. Also whole video I thought to myself "Could'a sworn that the girl muppet was red...", then that egg showed up and everything came flooding back. Also Olsenbanden is great. Each of the Scandinavian countries have their own version of it, with different actors and everything (originally danish - and the swedish one is called... Uhh, Jönssonligan? The johnson league, rather than olsen gang).
I grew up near Ålesund, roughly 2hr drive from the closest train station, so I never got to see the train in service. But I do fondly remember going to the theme park "Hunderfossen" where my big sister and I took the train and even met Max Mekker! I have a photo of me on the train with the conductor's hat on. Such a fond memory!
I grew up within walking distance from Lørenskog station, and my mom worked somewhat high up in NSB at the time. She told me once that i could celebrate my birthday at Sesam stasjo, but i was growing "too old and cool" for barne tv (childrens tv). I kinda regret that now. Fun fact. "Klappeland" station in the NSB christmas commercial is actually Grorud station. I took the train past on my way home from school when they filmed it.
I loved watching sesame station when I was a kid. Even saw one train at a train station. I even argued with some of my nieces about which character was the best, they liked Py but I liked Max, Alfa and Bjarne. OlsenbandenT(he Olsen gang) is a film comedy series about a group of thieves who try to get rich quickly, but who always end up the same way, their leader Erik Olsen behind bars. Brødrene Dal was also a TV series that we Norwegian children grew up with, but it varies depending on who likes the series and who doesn't.
I was a little bit old for Sesam Stasjon (born in the 70s), but I had siblings that were 10 years younger and we all saw the same programs on the TV, so I "had" to watch it. But I liked it, especially the counting song, so I watched with pleasure. I actually saw this documentary a month ago and shared it in relevant Facebook groups, so maybe that is what got the snowball rolling?
For me it was the counting by Max Mekker Juleen, juleto, juletre. Christmasone, Christmastwo, Christmastree. Polien, polito, politre...polini, politi Polione, politwo, polithree...polinine, politen/police
It is said that the muppets had to be shipped back to NY to be rinsed. My "father in law" back in the 90's actually made a copy of that blue character, called "Max Mekker" in Norway, possibly for a theatre show. I remember that my girlfriend at the time made the blue fur for the character. And her dad made Max Mekker's eyes move using a bicycle brake handle and bicycle wiring harness :D
Olsenbanden is great! Absolute classic stuff! I have mostly just seen the norwegian version though, not the Danish ones. The first norwegian Olsenbanden film feels a bit too "danish" in the humour department though, but they really found their voice after that and made some great films.
I grew up with that show. I was 4 when it came out and loved it. Also remember the Christmas calendar. A really great childrens show that probably would work today.
I was outside of the age group for Sesam Stasjon when it started airing, but I still remember seeing several episodes of it, as it was left on because it was shown just before the news. Olsenbanden is a core Norwegian movie and TV tradition, likewise with Flåklypa Grand Prix (Pinchcliff Grand Prix), Grevinnen Og Hovmesteren (Dinner For One), 3 Nøtter Til Askepott (3 Wishes For Cinderella) (1973 Czech original and 2021 Norwegian remake), and Reisen Til Julestjernen (Journey To The Christmas Star). Most Norwegians will have a positive reaction to mentioning one of those, even kids today. Because we've more or less grown up with these at important holidays, some even at a specific time and date, or the uproar makes the Norwegian broadcasters change their programming... Like the one year Grevinnen wasn't shown on any channel at about 20:00 on the 23rd of December, that made more of an uproar than when a female TV comedian and stunt reporter made our male Prime Minister reach around her and grab her tits on a prime time TV segment. Any of them are worthy a watch, but remember that this is stuff we Norwegians look at through the rose tinted glasses of our own childhood memories and the happiness at the times we saw either of them.
I met the female that played the woman character called Leonora in this show, in the first primary school I went to she was asked to be the one introducing the different parts of our end of year class show. She was horrible, she was mean and she said a few things that was unacceptable to say to kids that are not in theatre, she also had a horrible temper. It was obvious that she hated to be there and looked at it as beneath her.
Olsenbanden was a big deal in Norway and loved by everyone. It featured many famous Norwegian actors. It is about a criminal gang trying to perform the perfect heist, but something always goes wrong. Unfortunately I can't find any suitable clips that also have subtitles.

4:45 Don't forget Lille Py. 9:55 Yeay, he didn't forget Lille Py. 🥰🤗🤗

Norwegian Olsenbanden is sssooo much better than the danish version 🤷♀️

ditto 😃😁
The smile on some peoples faces, if you sing this song to them, when they are going trough a rough time.....priceless! :)

my kids loved sesame starion, and also postman Pat, thomas the engine, and many other both norwegian and forregin children show :)
Olsenbanden is the greatest film series of all time for me, NOT BIASED AT ALL
I so agree with you. Never gets old. And by watching it, I can also see how Oslo looked when I was growing up. It’s “ helmax”!😊
You are correct.
"Tima og tilrettelagt" (timed and prepared) is a phrase used in daily Norwegian speech and it's great.
I was outside of the age group for Sesam Stasjon when it started airing, but I still remember seeing several episodes of it, as it was left on because it was shown just before the news.

I loved this as a child :)
I visited Sesam Stasjon as a kid and it was AMAZING! I still love Max Mekker to this day^^
I used to watch this as a child. I'm 40. People who watched this are in their late thirties, early fourties these days.
Olsenbanden is HUGE in Norway, and the Danish originals with the same name is big in Denmark still.
That's disappointing, but kinda not surprising 😕

"Olsen Banden", er et norsk spin off, fra de danske "Olsen Bande" film. Der findes noget tilsvarende på svensk.
I am to Young to have watsd it on TV
