This is our July update for the rumored Polaris-named reimagination of Top Thrill Dragster. After Tony Clark posted "That's all for today! Polaris," we believe this to be the name. We know, most likely, that Zamperla will be working on the reimagination after multiple sources confirm. The track will be white, and likely red, with dark grey supports as they are being painted now. Stay tuned for a final recreation when we know all of the details.

Check out the ride stats for this updated coaster concept for the re-imagining of Top Thrill Dragster. We are pretty confident that is will be pretty close to the actual ride experience. The only elements in question are will there be any airtime on the launch side between the spike and the tophat, and how tall will the spike be? While we hope the spike will be 500 ft tall, it does not seem realistic, especially with Zamperla on the job! Enjoy the stats! Comment below if you have any questions!

Yeah that capacity sucks. Some people don’t think the capacity will be a problem but I don’t think they realize this will be 3 times as long than TTD, and only one train can occupy all that area…
Man, I’m starting to think Zamperla looked at your idea and took it all completely.
This is the first concept I can actually get behind. All the other ones are just hyper unrealistic and honestly stupid, this however is a whole lot more realistic and may actually happen.

Spike will be taller then that, the supports that have arrived are larger then the base top hat supports. If that doesn’t say anything from a height stand point.
I honestly don’t think it will be as tall as people are saying, I hope it is 400 or 500 feet but I think it will be more like 200-300
Either way I think these will probably be the paint design and the layout

i would be so mad i couldnt put it into words. it would be the cheapest thing i have ever seen a park do. it put it over great adventure’s repairs of toro with cheapness levels if they make it shorter than the top hat

I love the precision on the launch. As another commenter pointed out, the slope on this section is brilliant. Wildly impressive. This just might be the most realistic reimagining I’ve seen so far.
Someone also pointed out that the backwards launch into the spike could be a step up over the station! I’m so excited for this to open next year

Considering I was never expecting much from this apart from a new theme and conversion to LSMs, I am more than content with the actual ride turning out like this.
Just the mere presence of the spike is enough to make me excited, regardless of how tall it ends up being.

This music sounds like I’m about to get absolutely annihilated by a Cyberpsycho in Cyber Punk.
I’m hoping they add a High Speed Airtime Hill on the Launch side!
Wishlist:
1. Revamp whole midway with pavers
2. Replace Super Himalaya with a NEW flat ride of some sort..
3. Repaint Corkscrew with a new color scheme/new lighting package
4. Add “Winners Circle” somewhere near the new TTD
5. Add a Fully Covered Queue Building with maybe a Formula Car inside!

I feel like we're all missing something obvious... What is the reason for the racing theme or the double spike in the logo?
Right, that logo has to mean something obvious we’re missing. Obviously got the gray and red colors but the shape means something.
@@travixx07 the only thing I can guess for the two spikes in the logo is, the train goes up the spike 2 times. Which would mean a backwards swing launch... But what does racing have to do with a swing launch

I hope there is more too it than just a swing back. Love to see a it more like Kingda Ka. With a drop ride attached to the top hat section, or circle the spike. When the coaster goes through the spike having the drop ride circle aroud it and drop as soon coaster goes back down.

This guy won't give up with the Polaris name, even if the final name is distinct, he will press Cedar Fair to change it
Polaris is just a working title for the ride. No reason to change it unless something else comes up. Trust us, we spend WAY more time working in FVD, No Limits, and Blender than thinking of name ideas. Though, with Tony Clark mentioning Polaris, that makes it interesting. Also, per ElToroRyan, PHP stands for Project High Point. This could be a reference to the North Star, which is Polaris! Either way, Polaris will be our working name until the announcement day, or whenever a name is trademarked.

still surprised everyone's concepts use a sideways transfer track... but not a switch track like hagrids or pantheon so you could launch from the station
Very well done! However, if this is what they go with….yawn. And it wouldn’t surprise me. Two years to come up with something to actually excite the enthusiast crowd and they add a spike shorter than the top hat and some new paint. No airtime hills, no further layout extension. The only good thing about it, we didn’t lose Dragster at it’s core and the ride time was extended.
THIS is re-imagining?
I'm worried that the *general public* will see the final product and not see it being any different from "that coaster that fell apart and killed that woman" which will keep them from accepting this as a NEW and IMPROVED ride. I love the *general public*. It's a real shame that the amusement park industry is forced to rely on them for financial stability.
As cool as the rollback is, id actually prefer a backwards launch with lsms up the spike. That would be insane.
I’m envisioning a solid airtime hill before the top hat , and a wicked fast zero G roll after the final drop before hitting final breaks

Tony Clark recently implied that this wasn’t Zamperla so I’m a little confused
im kinda sad that:
-There is no airtime hill on launch and breakrun
-The spike is rumored to be just 300~ feet instead of 500 feet or at least maybe more than ka
-The manufacturer is zamperla not intamin
But im happy that:
- theres new dragster
If the point is you always get a rollback this way that is cool. Just hope that the back and forth isn't simply because the LIM launch is super weak. Really hard to have faith in Zamperla but my guess is they are going to use this ride to tell the world they also make real thrill rides.
Imagine they make 2 tracks where they race and meet at the top and roll back to end the ride

It is a concern indeed. This is another drawback with Zamperla, I don't see the trains being very long.
So it’s essentially becoming an upscaled mr freeze
I had a dream months ago the spike would be 509 ft tall.... lets see if I was right lol. Calling it now.
Anyone else think this is a downgrade from the original TTD? The quick launch was the highlight. And this one spike that will kill capacity does not make-up for the loss of a good launch

Supports are dark grey, painting the top hat this weekend was at the park yesterday track is white from what I could see going up the top hat.
I'm sorry, but this is insane. Half white half red? Cmon guys. More than likely this will have more to it than the obvious. Give it up. Your original prediction was wrong, and this one will be too. I'm not trying to be mean, please don't take it as mean-spirited. But its time to wait for the official announcement in August and adjust then.
Well they ended up doing part red and part white after all! 😁 No worries! It's always just for fun to create these ideas!

There's no way cedar point is going to give ever rider a rollback.on every ride.
Sorry with this being a racing theme the name just don’t fit that theme.

The Polaris name is no longer trademarked. It was put in file #13(🗑️) Right after The Orion Name was selected. THANK GOD!! Polaris would have been such a Dumbass name for a Rollercoaster. Cedar Point is sticking with The Racing Theme. Not something to do with The Artic, and Snow Mobiles.🤣🤣🤣🤣

It will have a spike. What else should the editional footers be for?
Therefore, it will probably have a switch track. So it can go by 4 trains.
Capacity should be better as before. Thats for sure
