a few problems with this - the person doing the exercises is NOT in a wheelchair - he is also able bodied and doesn't have any balance problems at all - when in fact a lot of wheelchair users DO have balance problems - without actually being tied to my chair with that crunch exercise I would be on the floor in a matter of seconds lol I don't have any legs to get my feet firmly on the floor as this man is doing - also people who are paralysed can't use the pressure of their legs to keep their balance while doing this either! - Please when demonstrating exercises for disabled people - use disabled people - there are plenty of wheelchair athletes out there who could do a much better job of demonstrating what to do xx
I am lucky (at the moment) I only have to use a wheelchair for outside movement (crutches inside) as I have myositis and have to train with weights and rubber bands at home as I can't afford a gym. My forward balance is affected (muscle control) and I'm wondering how to do this exercise, maybe with rubber bands and a hook in the ceiling. Since I started arm and shoulder work 4 months ago I now find my t-shirts don't fit anymore LOL. Where there's a will there's a way

It would have been nice if he had used a real wheelchair user.
wow thanks for sharing going to try it
thanks for sharing
awesome! Thanks
is that called a ab crunch and can i lose weight with this
Funny how all able bodied trainers just assume everyone in a chair has trunk control
I know, bless them for wanting to do good, but I have a weak trunk. Not the worst, but there's plenty of room for improvement.
Hey! He moved his legs!!
Shame on you! You have no idea!
