Just hit 100% today. Want to thank you for your help in this process. You were key in helping me with the fine print side of the rules. Your BOOK was pivotal !!! Veterans can complete the VA Claims process on their own with a little elbow grease and patience ! Thank you, DeWyane
Wow, that is awesome. Thanks for sharing and you are correct. Vets can do this themselves, if they are willing to roll up their sleeves. Congratulations, we here at KMD89 are happy for you. Please leave me a Google review and let other veterans know how educational the video are: g.page/r/CSzYaeioT5vxEB0/review
@ I hear you, I had to twist my father in laws arm for 2 years to let me help him. He is at 80% as of now. He’s pretty thankful now. We have a few more to do now that I have his c-file.
@ yes , I just really learned about all this stuff the last 4 years. People are getting educated now. Because back in the day, even my day, they didn’t tell us anything about benefits after service.
I know under General Discharge, it can be upgraded to Honorable. Takes at least 6 months from filing the required paperwork. When I was still on active duty, I knew a recruiter that was helping a former veteran get back in on active duty. 🤙🏼💪🏼🙏🏼🇺🇸
General Discharge is under Honorable conditions. You are entitled to all bennies, treatment, compensation etc, except GI Bill. Everything else you can get it.

Part of the revamping of the COD system as applies to VA disability is the Monk vs United States wherein admission of decades of disparate treatment to a black class of veterans regarding VA benefits, including the military COD for that class of veterans has also been compromised based on race, so the VA is now shoring-up this age old system of inadequacies to the class, which indeed will benefit all veterans alike.
BALLOT QUESTION Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended so that the tax exemption that is currently available to the surviving spouses of soldiers killed in action is also available to the surviving spouses of soldiers who died in the line of duty?
Hey going back to your video about that bad rater and their opinions which they didn’t base on facts. I just did a training yesterday and yes if it’s over - 100miles plus, - not wanting to do an exam, - dbq has conflicting contradictory statements among some other things. There will be a red flag alert and sent to supervisors.
Make sure you look at the M21-1. It says good be. Also, raters have to apply common sense when it comes to this. The VA is saying its ok for their examiners to me more than 100 miles and there is an M21-1 that says private examiners can do tele health and tele mental exam. also, did QRT say anything about 38 CFR 3.326. Vets have to also understand every claim is different.
Im a little confused at a part in your book. Once you get your decision letter and review of claims. It tells you how much you'll be making per month as a single person with no dependents, and once you hit 30% you can add more. Let's say you've never been rated and go to 100% you'll be making $3000 for a single person. Once you change dependents and such, your monthly payment should change before the first payment correct? Also, backpay would be different correct?😅
I've been awaiting a response from the Army Review Boards Agency, it's been 18 months, thank you for your videos. Would be nice to have 5 minutes of your time by phone.

Dwayne let vets know State of Virginia has on vote ballot Amend current VA Proposed Amendment The proposed amendment would expand this current tax exemption so that it is available to all surviving spouses of soldiers who are determined by the U.S. Department of Defense to have died in the line of duty, including those who have been killed in action. Vets can look it up state of Virginia 2024 Proposed Constitutional amendment

Now what does this say for all the veterans who followed all the rules to obtain an honorable discharge? And had no awols. More VA BULL. in my opinion you couldn't stay in line and got dishonorable that's on you
I'm sure some vets followed the rules and some officers where in the position of power to screw over the soldier. I'm not saying soldiers but I've seen a few get screwed over by officers.
Hey Mr Kimble I have a concern and wanted to have a clear vision. I just recently did a supplemental claim appeal on 1 symptom for Lumbar and Strain and few weeks back had a C&P examination. But I notice newbies were doing exams but exam wasn’t fully potential exam on how it supposed to be conducted. She state that VA send them short DBQ for Lumbar does that sound accurate? I’m frustrated don’t know what route I supposed to take.
That doesn't sound right at all. Inform the VA at 800 827 100 and note what happened on a 4138 and request another exam. More likely, that same examiner will send a full DBQ back. Make sure you request a copy.
Mr Kimble another ? just curious to ask. On my last examination VA rater incorrectly rated me and new services date change due to examination were incorrectly performed as I mention earlier in the comment. I’m a bit worried due to the fax that I had done appeal within a years and new services date has change. Do you think VA will owned me back pay if found evidence on my new exam is more accurate than last examination. Or they just gonna go by new establish date and won’t look at within year claim appeal

It's great to see the VA making progress on this, but it's a long way from being perfect.
BALLOT QUESTION
Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended so that the tax exemption that is currently available to the surviving spouses of soldiers killed in action is also available to the surviving spouses of soldiers who died in the line of duty?
That is outside of the VA.
@DewayneKimble gotcha sorry

Raters do not calculate back pay, this is the job of the VSR. Back pay will depend on the effective date, that's how it is calculated.

The question is, will I have time to change my dependents before I receive my backpay and first monthly payment?
You can go to va.gov and there is a link to add dependents.
