  • I always get excited about trying some French MREs 😃👍 Usually one of the best military ration packs out there. Let’s see what menus 9 is about! 🍽
This is the side channel to my main Lock Noob channel ( / locknoob .
Here I will be adding side content such as lock-related toys, retrospectives, detailed lock reassembly and even MRE reviews! I created this channel so I could put out fun content that might not interest my main audience, but i hope will still be enjoyed by others. Stay safe and happy picking!
If you would like to send me something, please use this address:
    Lock Noob
    PO Box 3428
    Bristol, U.K.
    BS6 9PQ
All items sent at senders own risk. Please also understand that while I try and feature things sent to me, I unfortunately can't feature everything and have long lead times.
I shouldn't have to say this but do not pick locks in use or locks that are not explicitly owned by yourself unless you have the express permission from their owners and that they understand the risk of damage picking may cause. ALWAYS keep it fun ALWAYS keep it legal. Don't make picking a crime.

Great video and this French pack shames the rubbish most countries dish out

    Nice review!
Maybe a "Pet Test" could be included? For example, would a dog eat a Commando bar? :)

    So...
    1. Throw out the protein bars (or use them as fire starters).
    2. Everything else is fair to great!
This MRE review is actually making me hungry.

I reckon that cheese would be great for impression moulding keys lol. To be fair it's the best looking one so far. Thanks for sharing Ash and have a great week mate.

Great review, enjoyed it, the cheese can be heated as a fondue but is great cold on the biscuits too. That cassoulet is so good!
I recently had menu 14 lol, gizzards and quinoa cold salad and pork cheek ravioli. I liked it!

the brits take tea seriously, dont mess with the tea! i get a kick out of the commentary though! now the appetizer of pate and cheese, that smile looks sinister, the main course looked very delicious

Considering you can eat this Quality of Food in an Active War zone this is an S tier MRE vs what other Armies get. Most MRE's are more or less like "We heard you don't like Flavor and want EVERYTHING either Flavorless or overly processed WE GOT YOU" French Commando's I imagine have to watch their stuff closely when they do joint stuff with SAS and US Special forces or their Rations Magically Turn into US or British MRE's "Oi that's a shame haven't seen it mate" / "don't know what you're talkin about chief"

The soup is like that because it is a cream of mushroom one, well, the content said it has only 3% of mushrooms inside but it look as good as the non MRE version we find in our shop, I imagine it tast as good, but maybe you added a little too much water in it usually that look thicker, not sure

Processed cheese in the British army is known as " cheese possessed"😋

Was the soup supposed to be cream of mushroom? Champignon?

@@sidenoob4995 Cream of mushroom is correct. The French have exactly captured to bland beige color of a bland, beige, food.

Noob you should realize by now that nobody except British "does milk in tea normally" :))) it's like your thing... Yes, some others sometimes do drink tea with milk, but just some and sometimes.

When it comes to the items that a lot of guys find disgusting, there is always a fellow that likes them. A buddy of mine loved the ham and lima beans (motherf***kers) in the US rations when he was in Vietnam. He never went hungry.

That was very........ French, yeah French.. What I expected to be good was. Pate, cheese, and a casolet, what's more French then that!
