The timer is now 15 minutes.
If your character is strong enough, Pit level 29 is best for blue mats, Pit level 59 is best for yellow mats.
That's because between 1 and 29 you will get blue mats, level 30 to 59 should give you yellow mats.
That has changed from the PTR.
The down conversion of higher material level was quite expensive on the PTR.
20k gold for every blue, 50k gold for every yellow.
So you will use millions of gold for down conversion, if the prices haven't been lowered.
I posted this on the official forum for the PTR, but because we had billions of gold and nobody wanted to extensively mastercraft and watch hours of animations, only few players had this problem.

Just here to update, a hotfix was applied and the max it will cost you now it 60k gold for the Legendary Large cache conversion vs 6mil before, 1 hell of a positive change.

Thats a good tip. Many people are probably new to Diablo and therefore to the concepts of speed farming vs pushing. More kills per hour equals more mats and potential drops so increases your power faster than trying to constantly push the most difficult content.

Honestly once you unlock it via the quest it gives you give it a shot. It’s equivalent sort of to like a T50 or so NM and you can start master working gear.

This the first season I've played since the beginning of season one. I re-download at the very end of season 3. This is what I loved about diablo the mindless killing of demons then the deep dive into a biuld to mindlessly kill demons faster. I know it's not for everyone but this is my cup of tea. I'm curious how much I'll play it when poe2 comes out

"Efficiency" is the opposite of fun. It's bad game design if speeding through content is the goal.

Depends how you define fun. Some people, being the most efficient and seeing their character progress the furthest/fastest without expending too much time is "fun" to them.

This game is absolutely booty cheeks. Its easy and boring core gameplay mechanics kill this game for me. I just can't have fun. I have a level 64 Rouge, 56 Druid, 52 barbarian(hardcore), 40 necromancer, and 15 wizard/mage dude.
I'm just achievement hunting at this point. Only 0.70 have the Hardcore achievement...
My friend loves this game. He's the reason I bought diablo 3(also booty). But this game ain't it.
