    You would be surprised how many people would benefit from your video. I certainly am one of them. I had 3 large dents after I brought back my IP from a camping trip. Exactly what I needed. Thank you.

    Useful, thank you. I need to replace the upper connector on my IP DUO and your video showed me how to access the area, even though it is a different model. ( The upper connector supplies power to the air fryer lid when you fit it.)

    I just knocked my Instant Pot (which is the same model as yours) onto the stone floor in my cottage kitchen and have been suffering from the emotion that you will immediately recognise that I could no longer have this in my kitchen, albeit that it works and the damage is "cosmetic". Your step-by-step guide makes repairing this myself an easy option though, since the steel sleeve is so thin, I will try using a curved metal forming tool to push the dent out against a flat metal surface rather than pushing the dent out by hand and using a hammer to finish off. Thank you!

    • @BeatTheBush
      @BeatTheBush  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It dents again since the metal is so weak. Perhaps it needs to be reinforced but that's too much work.

    • @fitybux4664
      @fitybux4664 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kind of doubt the sleeve is steel if it dents this easily. More likely aluminum. The pot inside is steel of course. (If it's stated as being that for your model, by Instant Pot.)

    I got my Instapot scratch-and-dent at a great deal a couple years ago, but the dent was right by the screen and it would wobble whenever I pressed anything and it was really annoying/cheap-feeling. I just used this guide up to the 3-minute mark and the wobble is gone, and it looks so much better now. Super easy and quick if you have a big-ass dent.

    To add to the comment about ensuring the grounding wire is properly connected to the internal heating element (which is what I assume the black container is), its good to wear an ESD (electro-static discharge) strap that is properly connected to earth's ground when you're handling electronics. This will ensure that if there is any electricity stored on the electronic itself, that electricity safely leaves the electronic device when you touch it with the hand thats wearing the ESD strap, creating a very low impedance path to ground that doesn't cross your heart.
