Have 3 of the 36mm Smiths…Gilt Everest, Expedition, Commando plus 2 larger 40mm Smiths…29B and Everest. Like them all for their highbeat movements and good quality cases, hands, sapphire crystals and dials. I have no problems with the bracelets but understand others do.
I've also heard some complaints about the bracelets, but mostly about them being hard to reattach if you remove them. I don't plan on doing that so not too worried. But i can't imagine it's harder than fitting the strapcode bracelet to the sarb017, that was a real pig to fit!!!
I also enjoy my prs29a a lot. It's one of the newer selitta versions but it's still +4/5 a day so I'm satisfied. And I really like winding it every morning.
That's a good point. I also really enjoy winding them. It's kind of calming and satisfying. I'm glad your enjoying your PRS29A. They are great watches. Thanks for watching and commenting
@@jlg395 From empty I think it's like 30-40 times. If I do it every day it's around 20. don't worry about overwinding the selitta. You can't unless you REALLY crank it with hatred.
With the eta's about 30 turns is enough from fully stopped. It starts to tighten up as you go so you have plenty of warning when you reach max. I've no fears of over winding. Once it's running i give it a few winds at night and a few more in the morning and they keep running
Lovely watches. It would be good to hear some more in-depth thoughts on the individual watches, such as the point about the hands on the AM being too similar in length. That's the sort of thing that only becomes clear after wearing a watch for a while. Do you find that the greenish tint of the Explorer indices undermine its look? Is the rivet bracelet less versatile than a normal bracelet?
Thanks for your considered comment. I have videos up on all the watches individually, so please check those out. The rivet bracelets are extremely flexible and comfortable. It's an aesthetic choice, but one that i appreciate. I hadn't considered the tint of the lume on the Explorer, so I'd say no, it doesn't undermine the look. If you want something that looks like a 1016, but don't have, it don't want to spend £20,000 on a Rolex then this is a great option. Thanks for watching and commenting

@@WTMS1 had the bracelet on my Everest on and off several times,it's not hard to re-attach at all.
Good to know. It's been mentioned in the comments on my videos, but it's probably isolated cases
Liked before watching. Thanks in advance WT MS!
You're a gent. Thanks
Enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Thank you sir

How many turns until it's fully wound? I'm always afraid of overwinding a watch.

Have the air ministry, Everest, and just ordered the expedition. I cannot wait for it to arrive ! Love the red second hand.
I'm sure you're going to love the Expedition, it's a great piece. Thanks for watching and commenting

Good questions.
What are your leather straps? where can i buy them
Awesome review. Really considering to get the Everest, if I get the chance
“I really really love this watch”
“If I will sell, I’ll probably sell this watch”
I cant even get one lol. Do you have any tips on placing an order?
I hope PRS-29A comes back in stock soon… I’m so disappointed I didn’t get it the last time it was available…
I'm sure you'll get one, it's really a great watch, you'll love it
I'm still not sold on that red seconds hand, lol. Great video, though. What do you plan on buying next?
Thought I was the only one. In fact, I hate the entire handset. I wish it had the heat blued Explorer hands instead.
@@PlaceboPictures Just the seconds hand needs to change, but that red definitely needs to go.
I'm a fan of the red seconds hand. When the sun catches the blued hour and minute and you've got the red popping next to them out looks great!!
Next will probably be a BB58 blue. Although there are a couple of new Smiths models I've got my eye on!
Very nice… do you still own the watches in the video? And have you seen the new jubilee Aventurine dial. Very nice indeed.
I sold the AM, and yes, that new dial does look fantastic. May have to pick one up
Loved the video review - plg to get SMITHS EVEREST PRS-25 - 36MM - GILT DIAL
Terrible company to deal with and the bracelets are cheap and nasty. Shame as the watch was okay.
really dont like the way time factor sell their watch...
I'm lookin for a prs-36 feel free to contact me
