I've been a Legendary Pink Dots fan for 20 years. I go through stages on and off where I listen to them. I think my 1st LPD song was "Love Puppets" from the curse LP. There is NO band like LPD...NO ONE. They are their OWN genre. I really recommend you newer LPD fans to really listen to the earliest albums. They are way more eclectic than now. I love the cheesy vintage keyboards and drum machines. awesome stuff.
Saw these guys on shrooms, was not planning it but my friend kept handing me caps and stems during the opening act and by the time LPDs came out it was amazing, then I met Edward while I was all dosed, he's a beautiful person, very nice.
I love them in their tragic beauty. Without them I could not watch the world go by. I would have never found out that aren't any pyramids in Belgium. I have been a fan of this amazing band for at least twenty years. I hope they never stop making music. Kaspel, Silverman, Niels, and the rest of amazing people that have played with them over the years. Just incredibly insightful, creative, bizarre and inspirational music. Peace!
Wow, quite a departure in style from the previous album - but hints of it are still there. Yet another new chapter for LPD! There's a few hints of old LPD past in there too, I think. New, old, slightly used, all refined to a new form. This song in particular I found quite atmospheric and entrancing and I am much looking forward to the new album! Plan to get it when you guys come here on tour.
I've been following lpd since the late 80's. I still enjoy much of their work: ALL of "the maria dimension." To name a few singles, "new tomorrow, just a lifetime, blasto, waiting for the cloud, stiching time, we bring the day, andromeda, citadel, damien, green gang, hallway, siren, and so many more. When I first started listening to this track, I was disappointed, until I heard the sfx in the break. Still, I don't think it's their best work by any means. And I have to admit, I miss Neils...
Neils was SOOO strong! He was a gem too have in the DOTS for sure! I'm impressed with their work since Neils left. I will always miss him. No one can replace Neils
Is this an "official" video? I can't tell. Man I used to be so much in closer contact with edward and Phil. I miss not having that kind of contact with them. Well regardless, they know I luvs 'em.
don't know why - you would expect that modern technological Music would fit Edward Caspels voice perfectly... But somehow I think the old tunes sound more fragile and attractive still

This is a really exemplary of some of the finest moments in the cannon of LPD.

Seriously, they are really good live.
They used to come to Utah regularly, and I have seen them atleast four times. Love them.
