At least you won it the year before in 2010 and have a good chance in 2012 as much as I would not like to see Collingwood win it again. Nothing I can do if it happens again .... that is life.

I don't recall a time when there were two teams as good as Geelong and Collingwood are right now. In the 80s Hawthorn and Essendon were both fucking good, but either of today's Geelong or Collingwood teams would fucking smash them.

This was a failure by collingwood coaching staff... They played man on man which is totally different to their play style for the year. They always played with a man behind play and relied on their skill to score, not man on man. Mick got shaken up my that rd 24 loss, and lost the plot in the GF. Fail.

Nobody hates a paticular team, because every team has "stolen" or signed free agents by the dozen. Does the AFL have a salary cap that limits how much a team can spend, so that well off teams cant out spend smaller market teams year after year?
Yes, but their average is the worst in the comp. 41 appearances for 15 wins is poor! That was one of the best days of my life. Best of the three wins too because we were written off as TOO OLD, TOO SLOW. My brother and I sat right in front of the old press/sound box on the AFL Members wing (it was sadly removed during renovation in the off-season before the following year.) I proudly started the GEEEEEELONG chant in the final quarter too. Oh happy days!!!
Great times, but Craig you may find the GEELONG chant came from the lads standing in M3 as with most of the various chants/songs. Also no waiting for the last qtr, was the entire game. Feel free to join em come Easter Monday. Always interesting against the Ho's
