Great Horned Owl Hooting Late At Night

I’ve always heard this owl for years but it was extremely intermittent. Sometimes once every few weeks, once every few months and once every few years at a point. I was always curious on the type of owl it was but had no answers. Furthermore, I decided to go on TH-cam and research owls that matched this hoot. After 3-5 minutes of research, I found that it was named a “great horned owl”. The sound was soothing yet creepy if you aren’t used to it lol.

I'm lucky to occasionally get an audio show from where they hang out in the trees in the neighbor's yard, but the real treat is camping out in East Texas. More often than not, I hear this all night. When dawn breaks, the blue jays take over for awhile, and then you hear the crows.

I've had an owl 🦉 making sounds sort of like that the past three nights 😊. It's kind of cool. It's like he (or she, I don't know which ones, or if both, hoot) is almost....rolling r's, or something. It's like a rolling hoot. If it weren't further away, I'd try to catch the sounds with my phone.
