We took a trip to Kern River California for some metal detecting and camping. Join us on a family friendly adventure and see what we dig up. Lets see what's UNDER CALIFORNIA

Good video, lots of interesting finds. I love finding watch parts... and a MORGAN! very NICELY DONE. I saw a shout-out video for you from Indiana Tones
I use to go to the kayak races in kernville. I love that area. Did a lot of fishing in the kern river and lake Isabella. I found your channel via Indiana Tones and am glad I did. Keep up the great vids!
Great hunt, congratulations. The most common pocket watches of that era were American Watch Co. ( later to become Waltham), and Elgin. Hope that helps. 🙂
Wow! I really enjoyed your video! I live at the Kern River! I’ve never heard of the spot you were at, I sure would love a chance at detecting that and I always fill my holes and take the trash with me👍🏻 Awesome history found and some nice silver!! Thanks for the hunt! HH🎧⛏
Once i seen a ground squirrel digging a hole next to a little cabin I was staying in for work. I went to go just look at the hole and saw the squirell had dug up a busted pocket watch, with 3 silver Morgan's popping out of the side. 2 were crowns,1 was waving hair.
It’s a shame folks don’t respect private property and fill their holes. My first metal detector was delivered yesterday and I’d like to get in a few digs in my region of CA before the inconsiderate acts of a few shuts me down before I even get started.
Do you have any idea what the coins are at 11:09? I grew up at the lake and know a spot where we picked these up when we were younger, I never knew what they are and have been curious my whole life about them
@@danielsasboot4466 Yeah i know they are Chinese i was trying to identify the coins a bit more though, they have a huge history of supplying the miners back in the day. Found them all over the place, even in Squirrel Valley
Most unique metal detecting video I've ever seen. Well done.

The tapered metal piece appears to be a tool to unlock a Morris taper collar on a drill bit Chuck or lathe.
