The reference to ‘made in Japan’ is also to the fact that in the 1950s Japanese manufacturing and electronics had a bad reputation, not unlike ‘made in China’ has for so long been synonymous with poor quality. As for the second Delorean, when putting a vehicle into long-term storage (70yrs; 1885-1955), you would drain all of the fluids. Doc, being a scientist & engineer, would know this. So, there wouldn't be fuel left in the gas tank.
I still think Doc who built a time machine and built a refrigerator using 19th century parts could have whipped up a pressurised vat to product gasoline from some oil.
Doc Brown, being a genius, would know that fuel degrades after a certain amount of time, it might even have damaged the Delorean's fuel lines, so he would have drained the tank before sealing away the time machine. Given the limited shelf life of refined petroleum, and having little use for it in 1885, he probably disposed of it months ago
@@DrJD123 The problem with all of the gas related issues is you can run a car, carbonated or fuel injected on ethanol. Ethanol would have been reasonably common then, aka moonshine, along with easy to make, some grain, warm water, and yeast. Distill it off and you have fuel. But, you don't have a movie then either.

I mean if that still buried DeLorean was usable, then Doc never would have been stuck in the past anyway. I think it had to be fixed by 1955 Doc with modern parts. Now maybe some swapping of parts between the 2 DeLoreans may have worked, but still no fuel and a potential paradox.
The empty fire extinguisher is not a reference to Doc's mansion burning down. In the first film after we see the newspaper saying Brown Mansion Destroyed, Doc said it took him almost 30 years (and his entire family fortune) to realize the vision he had the day he came up with the flux capacitor. The obvious inference is that he himself burned down his mansion to get the insurance money to finance his dream.
Hmm interesting. I can see it being both ways. Either Doc ran out of fire extinguisher to put out a second fire from another one of his experiments, which resulted in the house *accidentally* burning down, which caused him to get the insurance money which funded his future experiments, thus leading to the invention of the flux capacitor then the time machine. OR like you said, he could have *purposely* set fire to his mansion (or at least purposely not extinguish it) in order to reap the insurance money. The world may never know his intent 🤷🏽♀️
BTTF 3 is my favorite of the 3 movies, i watched it 30 times in 2023 alone at least. I love how it ties the rest of the movies together and also the relationship between Doc & Marty gets so much sweeter. When docs reading the letter, when they're talking about women, there are just so many good moments that no other two actors could have pulled off. I know about all these easter eggs but only because of videos like this and how much i watch the movies, i still will watch anything BTTF related and i enjoyed watching this.
I’ve never played the games, so I might have to check them out. In most cases I’m not against the idea of a franchise getting sequels or remakes, but in BTTF’s case I think it’s perfectly fine as a trilogy. There’s nothing you could do; the story’s fully concluded.
These movies were the first I ever loved as a kid and they're still my favourite movies now. Ive seen them countless times over the years like many, but I still learned so much over these 3 breakdowns that I overlooked and didn't make the connection. The series is famed for being so well constructed but I never realised under those layers there were more layers. Can't believe some little details eluded me still after so many viewings. And that plot hole about the 2 deloreans i'll never forgive you for! Lol I'm truly sorry there'll be no more breakdown videos on them. I really loved these.
I think by far bttf 3 is and always will be my favorite movie of all time. As a young kid this movie completely captured my imagination. I am truly grateful bob gale and Rob are one of the only directors that know when to leave a good thing alone.
Annie Oakley was famous for this. Before she became an exhibition shooter she’d hunt to help support her family. Her ducks and rabbits were coveted and fetched a higher price because she used a small caliber rifle and made headshots instead of a shotgun. This meant there wasn’t pellets in the meat
Fun fact...the train engine in the past is the same one used in Petticoat Junction TV show exterior shots....the Hooterville Cannonball. It has a long history in Hollywood films/TV. You should have mentioned the ironic fate of the Jamestown set was due to it burning down from a lightning strike.
One of the classic hangover cures is the Prairie Oyster: a raw egg, a hot sauce of your choice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Slug it all down in one gulp. It wakes you up, all right.
Doc and Marty couldn't have used the other delorean, because that would remove it from 1955 and prevent Marty from using it to go back to the old west. Besides, it was damaged by the lightning and needed new parts, remember?
Talking about the Frisbee, the matchbook tray prop was made from an old Volvo hubcap. So it was built to spin even originally. 37:26 Also this part we can see that the streering wheel is upside down. In the movie it's possible to see even when Marty arrives, the wheel is also awkwardly positioned. Only reason I can think for this being so, is that at one point of preparing the car for shots, they removed it and when adding it back the wheels were turned. They just didn't bother to fix it as only insane people would notice or care.
Can’t believe that even though I’ve seen this film so many times, some of the references completely escaped me. Great video! I’m glad they won’t make a reboot or sequel. Just can’t beat these.
I love your subtle reminders to like and subscribe. It actually worked on me just because I appreciate you not stopping the video for ten seconds to beg. It's a nice touch.
Don’t know if it has been said, but one thing I’m surprised that was not brought up was the makeup of Needles’ Gang. One actor from each of the 3 Tannen Gangs (Buford, Biff, and Griff) came back to make up the three members of Needle’s Gang in 1985. Really neat Easter Egg there.
There is a nice referecnce made by Christopher Lloyd, in the film 'Just in time for christmas', his character says "What did she do, get into a time machine?" And that's the only thing I remember from watching that Hallmark christmas movie.
There’s also a BTTF reference in low budget animated film “The Illusionauts” which Lloyd has a role in. When he finds out that a Jules Verne story (probably another reference) has been messed up to include a flying train, he says “A flying train? Why would anyone create something as ridiculous as that?”.
There was two things in an earlier draft of BttF3 that dealt with the gasoline pothole. Initially, the transmission was damaged and that was problem. In a later draft Doc said that he had removed all the fluids from the Delorean to preserve it. Also, he didn't want to dig up the Delorean in the mine just in case they would potentially damage it making the other one erased from the timeline.
@alexanderholloway7110 that's explained in a line where Marty says he tore the fuel like but its cool because they've got Mr Fusion. To which Doc explains that Mr Fusion powers the flux capacitor instead of Plutonium... but the regular combustion engine runs on gasoline... always has.
@@alexanderholloway7110The excuse is that the flight systems couldn't be repaired with 1950s technology and the wheels were still powered by the gas engine. IMO, the first part is plausible, but the latter is absurd.
doc brown drained the fuel from the delorean and used it for something before putting the delorean in storage. The big problem is how did the fuel distribute come out the bottom of the car when it's on the top of the engine.
Gasoline degrades with time and it's already been several months of Doc being in 1885. Further he would have likely used or disposed of the fuel before storing the car in the mine to better preserve it for 1955 Marty & Doc.
Precisely. And even if gasoline was over 6 months old and hadn't evaporated yet, most likely it would still be combustible for use. Big props to the show host narrator for point out something I had never even realized that there totally are 2 DeLoreans. But as highly knowledgeable in all subjects we know for fact, the only reason why The Doc wouldn't have already cleaned gasoline from the system is if somehow The Doc had died or been killed before Marty arrives
@@jonmancill6824 He stored the Delorean in the mine before he wrote the letter so it was already secured. They sent Marty to the next day after he wrote the letter but a few days before Doc died.
BTTF III certainly came with two western film concepts and aspects from two other separate western films, Combined concept of "The Good The Bad The Ugly" and "True Grit"( Tannen/Marty "Eastwood" Spat with each other during the Courthouse Dance Party) and the combined aspects of "High Noon"(The Comedy of the entire thing) and The Lone Ranger(Train-jacking).

I am a great time travel fans both in fictional and factual speculation.Grew up on Doctor who and my favourite novel is by H G Wells. If I was a scientist if would be like Doc Brown - a fanatic. Best trilogy of all time.
Part 3 just gives you that final feeling, like this is the end. The downside I’ve always had for part 3 is that it doesn’t feel like the same timeline from part 1, meaning that you don’t feel like this all happened in a very recent time period for Marty.
34:51 So how did Jennifer get back to the "New" timeline. Doc explained it as a separate (branch) timeline. So there should have been the "new" Jennifer. Or there should be no Jennifer at all. However, based on how photos and news papers change, maybe the timeline changed around her. And Doc was wrong about the branch timeline.
On Doc's tombstone, it lists his date of death, but it does not list his date of birth as most tombstones would. Of course, Claire would not have known his date of birth, and Doc likely would not have told her. He would have been born after the year that he "died"
It never made sense to me that Claire's name was on the tombstone. She supposedly fell into the ravine on her way to Hill Valley, so she wouldn't have met Doc Brown. The only reason why Doc and Claire met is because Doc and Marty went to evaluate the railroad tracks.
An easier reference to "Statler" would've been in 1985, where Marty first sees that bitchin' black Toyota and says "Check out that 4x4. That is hot." It has a big old banner on the side of it that says "Another Custom 4x4 for Statler Toyota". Easier to see that than the Studebaker sign at 15:47 (it's little hard to see 'STATLER' above that, especially with the arrow pointing at Studebaker instead of the dealer's name.) Obviously it's meant to show that the Statler family's been involved in transportation for decades, but yea
The only way that they could do another movie with any real credibility would be if it started out with an elderly Doc Brown writing his life story down. The trilogy was told from Marty's perspective. If it were retold from Doc Brown's perspective, that might be interesting. We'd get to see the parts of the story that weren't shown onscreen.
Since i dont think you adressed this, i think the reason Doc thought the Japanese chip failed so easily is because at the time, Japan had just lost a war which resulted in the crippling of its industry.
How about the fact that at the end, Claire is wearing 1890s clothing - best guess is 1897-ish, instead of 1885 clothing. The 1890s dress has leg of mutton sleeves, with a cute peplum jacket, and a a-line skirt. While her 1885 clothing had a bustle on it with fitted sleeves. Most people are too busy looking at the kid pointing at his crotch to notice her.

Didn't even realize it was only posted 3 days ago. Talk about perfect timing with finding your channel. Awesome channel and awesome series!
It was mentioned that all the fluids were drained from the DeLorean by Doc when he buried it in the mine and everything was topped off just prior to bringing the car to the Drive-In Theater. So no, there was no gas in the old DeLorean already burried in 1885 when Marty ripped the fuel line.
Whoa… I’ve managed to carve through all 3 of your BTTF heavy spoilers in one week. Absolutely brilliantly done! Extremely entertaining as well! God I love this trilogy, and to revisit them with your channel just brought me a proper amount of happiness. Thank you for your excellent work!
They couldn't have gone to the DeLorean in the mine to get fuel because there would not have been any fuel in it. As any mechanic or automobile manufacturer will tell you, before you put a car into storage for a long time (70 years in this case), you first drain all the fluids out of it.
Awesome video. I know first film backwards and forward and almost all the trivia. I definitely learned a lot from this video about the references. Thank you.
What a proper breakdown of a proper movie series finale! I've been a huge fan of the BTTF series since watching the first movie as a 6 year old. I'm so grateful that the creators have vowed to never make a sequel. It's a perfect trilogy with an excellent ending!
I'll have admit after watching this again..I didn't know anything about the barbed wire guy being who he was and that he went on to found Texaco, which is so important in the movies. I love knowing that, every egg makes the movies better.

Unfortunately, there is a MAJOR flaw with Doc's storyline in part 3. If Clara was originally supposed to have died in the ravine, how could Doc have met her? He only ended up meeting her because he saved her, which he was only able to do because he was there with Marty ... but before Marty goes back, Doc's gravestone refers to his beloved Clara, which means Doc originally met Clara before Marty went back. But, if Clara went into the ravine - which she originally would have done - how did Doc meet her?
Paul, I am so thankful that you took the time to do these Back to the Future breakdowns. It has been an absolute joy watching them, feeling the nostalgia, and learning even more new things that I didn't notice over the last 35+ years. Thank you, THANK YOU!!!! 🤗🥰
I think the reason why they dont go back for the fuel in the other DeLorean is because gasoline tends to go bad after a year. Doc Brown probably drained the fuel from the DeLorean before he stored it.
Doc thought the DeLorean would be in deep storage for 70 years. He would have drained all fluids from the vehicle, and gasoline is the most volatile, so it would have been the first to go.
I believe there was a comic book series based of the animated show as well. I think I heard there was some new footage shot for the BTTF ride too While II and III were shot back to back, there was a bit of a break when Fox went home for a few weeks to deal with his father's passing.
I love your pop collection. Do you like Weta Workshop? They just recently released the rights for pop do make Lord of the Rings with is pretty cool. Mini Epics are cooler imo but thought I'd drop a comment. Love your channel. Thanks for what you do good sir
This is my second favourite BTTF movie. It used to be number 2 when I was a kid but I've grown to realise 3 is much more similar in tone to number 1. And the chemistry between Mary Steenburgen and Christopher Lloyd really brings a new dynamic to the trilogy. Plus I saw this one at the cinema when I was 5 :)
Counterpoint to the "plot hole" about two DeLoreans: To properly store a vehicle long-term, you can't leave the fluids in the vehicle. Gasoline, oil, break fluid, etc. all need to be drained or they can cause severe damage. For a vehicle like a DeLorean with more modern construction techniques, it might not be possible to repair that sort of damage in 1955. Therefore, Doc Brown would have drained all the fluids from the vehicle before placing it to be stored for 70 years knowing substitutes would be easily obtained in 1955.
The reason they don't take the fuel from the other Delorean is because messing with it in any way could seriously affect the future thus preventing Marty from traveling back in the first place causing a paradox.
And Doc had drained the gas before storing the DeLorean. Referenced by them filling the DeLorean with gas after they dug it up in 1955. Now that makes me have a question... what happened to the Mr Fusion conversion Doc had done at the beginning of the second movie?
@@alexanderholloway7110The Mr. Fusion still existed. They even mentioned it in Part 3. Marty says, after mentioning losing fuel, "It's alright because we still have Mr. Fusion." And Doc tells him that Mr. Fusion runs the time circuits but that the engine runs on regular gasoline.
The town reveal shot [14:17] is a homage to Sergio Leone's 'Once Upon a Time in the West': iconic scene with Claudia Cardinale arriving in the town of Sweetwater and textbook example of how to execute a perfect crane shot [YT search: Jill's Arrival]. Leone also directed the 3 other spaghetti Westerns that skyrocketed Clint Eastwood to stardom, and are also referenced in BTTF, particularly the final duel from A Fistful of Dollars as mentioned in this recap [9:18]
I always hated they didnt realise Clara could never have erected Docs tombstone as "his beloved clara" as she shouldve been dead before they ever met by going over the cliff in the normal timeline BEFORE doc got shot, she was ONLY saved bcos marty went back and wrecked the fuel tank so they needed other options....thats the way i see it...
Actually, Doc being sent back to 1885 originally is what changed the Clayton Ravine thing. In the original timeline without him there, the Mayor didn't have anybody to send to pick her up at the train station so she rented that wagon and died going over the edge. With Doc there, he went and picked her up and they still fell in love and she erected the tombstone after he died. Marty and Doc both know Calyton Ravine's name because it was that way when they were growing up in the original timeline. Doc going back probably would've made the ravine keep it's "old Indian name" the whole time, so kids in that altered timeline wouldn't know what was being talked about if Clayton Ravine was ever said. With Marty going back and distracting Doc by being there, Clara never got picked up at the station so she rented the wagon anyways and would've been forced into her original fate if Doc didn't manage to ride up and save her just in time. So, yeah... to reiterate: Without Doc being there, she would've gone over the ravine. With Doc there, they fell in love and he died 2 days after being shot. With Marty and Doc being there, she would've gone over the Ravine but Doc saved her just in time. The Mayor didn't show up to ask Doc about it because Marty was there, Doc being there in the first place made the Mayor ask. @cob2076
Dude, I actually DID watch BTTF 1 & 3 before Part 2. They were on TV back-to-back & for some reason, Part 2 was omitted. I guess someone at the network wasn't a fan of hoverboards.
For the "two Deloreans" pothole - there was no gas in the tank because it was not needed anymore due to Mr Fusion. When hit by lightning, all electrical circuitry was fried so no flight and no Mr Fusion but Doc never took out the ICE so they could still fill it up in 1955 - or at least else that's my head-canon
Oh thank you! I wondered what happened the the Mr Fusion conversion Doc made in part two. Doc does mention the lightening strike ruined the circuitry.. uh oh, now my question is, why does the Flux Capacitor work then?
@@alexanderholloway7110 It obviously didn't fry the commercially produced 2015 hardware, but only some important microchips in the stuff Doc cobbled together in 1985. And the fate of the 2015 hover-tech is indeed unexplained.
That's not right. Doc himself states that, 'The internal combustion engine runs on ordinary gasoline; it always has.' Mr Fusion only ever powered the time circuits and flux capacitor, taking the place of the plutonium fission reactor. The only feature permanently damaged by the lightning strike was flying.
The real trivia would be why the DeLorean didn't blow up when it was destroyed. That nuclear-powered vehicle would've Oppenheimer all over the town😂. I love this franchise. Childhood memories😢.
Great job and breaking all three of these classics. I enjoyed them and looked forward to each sequel as a teen when they were released and have loved how my kids now love them as much as I did.

It didn't use gas or oil guys remember he put trash in it😂😂😂
The empty fire extinguisher is not a reference to Doc's mansion burning down.
Your videos have sorely overlooked Thomas f Wilson's awesome portrayal of Biff through time!
It was by far the most fun of the three
I love that when Marty said did Strickland ever have hair? Then in the west he did and then some. 🙂 Guy road in like a lion.
The telltale back to the future games were as close to a part 4 as we could ask for. Would love a breakdown of that if you’re into it
Been scrolling for someone to mention them! Yes, 4, 5 and 6. There is a full movie on TH-cam somewhere.
I’ve never played the games, so I might have to check them out. In most cases I’m not against the idea of a franchise getting sequels or remakes, but in BTTF’s case I think it’s perfectly fine as a trilogy. There’s nothing you could do; the story’s fully concluded.
Well, you have completed the BttF trilogy reviews.
Now, I have nothing left to live for. Thank you for your contribution to Better Living.

My favorite Tannen is Bufford. Guy should have gotten at least one Oscar nomination.
I think by far bttf 3 is and always will be my favorite movie of all time. As a young kid this movie completely captured my imagination. I am truly grateful bob gale and Rob are one of the only directors that know when to leave a good thing alone.
I grew up poor and my family hunted. The sound of lead shot being spit onto a plate is realistic AF
Im glad they haven't made anymore back to the future films you are right things is better left alone
He meant to use the fuel from it-which would still not have worked, since Doc would surely have drained the gas.
Verns real name is Dannel Evans, and he only has 1 outher screen credit to his name, a show called Eerie, Indiana from 1991.
you've made my favourite trilogy even better by these breakdowns ive learnt a boat load of info i never knew,,thank you
Talking about the Frisbee, the matchbook tray prop was made from an old Volvo hubcap.
There's also a Statler Toyota in 1985 which is where Marty gets his 4x4 from. Lou's Diner was also an aerobics studio in 1985.
I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!!!
Right?! Same here!
There is a nice referecnce made by Christopher Lloyd, in the film 'Just in time for christmas', his character says "What did she do, get into a time machine?"
And that's the only thing I remember from watching that Hallmark christmas movie.
This makes me have a question though.. what happened to the Mr Fusion conversion Doc had done at the beginning of part two?
@@alexanderholloway7110 The letter from Doc explains the circuits were all blown out.
@alexanderholloway7110 that's explained in a line where Marty says he tore the fuel like but its cool because they've got Mr Fusion.
To which Doc explains that Mr Fusion powers the flux capacitor instead of Plutonium... but the regular combustion engine runs on gasoline... always has.
@@garethbattersby I somehow doubt the combustion engine also powers the stuff that lets the car fly...
Fox almost died when he was hanging by the rope! I'm almost 15 minutes in the video but the hanging was mentioned. Also I don't think anybody better could have played Clara so I'm thankful to her children for not dropping the issue and making her take that role. Her sweet voice and soft look was perfect for Clara!!

The coke is the secret. 🌨️⛷️😜

The special features also mentions that doc wouldve known to drain all fluids in the Delorean prior to storing it for that long of a period.
LOL that “knock you the FUCK out” at the end of the video had me dying, Paul 😂

"Jesus, Tony, how old is this guy?"
"I don't know, I didn't carbon date him, he's on the young side."
BTTF is one of the most well thought out time travel movies. The pieces fit together and make a great trilogy.
@rafaelfiallo4123 ok thanks!
In the novelisation it described the tombstone as saying "Date of birth: unknown".
An easier reference to "Statler" would've been in 1985, where Marty first sees that bitchin' black Toyota and says "Check out that 4x4. That is hot." It has a big old banner on the side of it that says "Another Custom 4x4 for Statler Toyota". Easier to see that than the Studebaker sign at 15:47 (it's little hard to see 'STATLER' above that, especially with the arrow pointing at Studebaker instead of the dealer's name.) Obviously it's meant to show that the Statler family's been involved in transportation for decades, but yea
as an early 90s little kid, I pulled this vhs out of my Christmas stocking. man I was pumped, what a feeling haha.
This was my childhood!
One of my abseloute favourites❤
Holy hell I found your channel the other day and started watching your Back to the Future series, and I saw this one today and was like "Oh, Let's watch that and finish the set of them". Didn't even realize it was only posted 3 days ago. Talk about perfect timing with finding your channel. Awesome channel and awesome series!
Can y'all do Clue at some point? That movie is a beautiful showcase of how to foreshadow effectively.
Oh my God, I just realized the "do something a baby could do" guy was in Blazing Saddles! Great videos, dude!
It was mentioned that all the fluids were drained from the DeLorean by Doc when he buried it in the mine and everything was topped off just prior to bringing the car to the Drive-In Theater. So no, there was no gas in the old DeLorean already burried in 1885 when Marty ripped the fuel line.
Yup, fuel eventually degrades over time, so there would be no point in leaving it on the car for 70 years
Whoa… I’ve managed to carve through all 3 of your BTTF heavy spoilers in one week.
Thank you.
14:23 This idea blew my mind. I’ve been watching these movies since I was born, and I never thought of it. Great catch!
they clearly address that in the movie by saying the delorean in the mine had its fluids drained in preparation for long term storage
@@oldmanloki ohhh, that makes sense. Well thank you
What a proper breakdown of a proper movie series finale! I've been a huge fan of the BTTF series since watching the first movie as a 6 year old. I'm so grateful that the creators have vowed to never make a sequel. It's a perfect trilogy with an excellent ending!
This trilogy was made with love for the cinema!
Absolutely brilliant videos on absolutely brilliant films.
I'll have admit after watching this again..I didn't know anything about the barbed wire guy being who he was and that he went on to found Texaco, which is so important in the movies. I love knowing that, every egg makes the movies better.
Yes! How that is the man that helped bring about the solution to the major problem of the third film we had just watched.... namely GAS
dumb obsercation but how did doc brown create a new train time machine? did he use the one that was supposed to be buried or the second one? this has always confused me

Part 3 is my favorite of the 3. This movie and Dances with Wolves got me into watching Westerns. Something I still love to do to this day.
I got to tell you dude, I’ve been watching your channel for years now. But to be completely honest, I’ve taken some time off the last couple months. It wasn’t that you were doing anything wrong, I think It was more of an algorithm thing, you weren’t showing up in my feed as much, and I just didn’t have much time. But these breakdowns....(especially considering this is my favorite trilogy of all time) are a great idea, and I know I’m definitely back on board, so I hope that happens with more people, and that you keep getting the success that you deserve
Thanks for the detailed breakdown of, IMHO, the best film trilogy of all time. The original remains in my personal list of 20 favorite movies of all time ❤️

@@heavyspoilers you are very welcome. I read or saw an interview (don’t remember which) in which Robert Zemeckis said he based Rich Biff Tannen in BTTF 2 on Donald Trump, was already ‘infamous’ by then for junk TV shows like Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous☮️
Huge thanks Paul. 🙏🏻
Paul, I am so thankful that you took the time to do these Back to the Future breakdowns. It has been an absolute joy watching them, feeling the nostalgia, and learning even more new things that I didn't notice over the last 35+ years. Thank you, THANK YOU!!!! 🤗🥰
If I had a time machine I would just go see old music concerts.
Excellent, excellent, excellent! I learned a bunch about my favorite moves of all time!
I think I heard there was some new footage shot for the BTTF ride too
While II and III were shot back to back, there was a bit of a break when Fox went home for a few weeks to deal with his father's passing.
Maggie McFly being played by Lea Thompson doesn’t mean that Seamus married his cousin. This is likely where Lorraine’s genes came from.
Honestly thanks so much for all your hard work. Your breakdowns are incredible.

The majority of people don't like westerns. That's why this movie gets a lot of hate, but I think it's by far the best one
It was my least favorite but I still had to watch it to finish the trilogy, I've grown to appreciate it a lot more ad an adult
The letter from Doc explains the circuits were all blown out. @@alexanderholloway7110
@@alexanderholloway7110 it's designed to with stand 2.21 gigawatts (or a bolt of lightning)
@@alexanderholloway7110 It obviously didn't fry the commercially produced 2015 hardware, but only some important microchips in the stuff Doc cobbled together in 1985. And the fate of the 2015 hover-tech is indeed unexplained.
That's not right. Doc himself states that,
'The internal combustion engine runs on ordinary gasoline; it always has.'
Mr Fusion only ever powered the time circuits and flux capacitor, taking the place of the plutonium fission reactor.

15:40 - The over-the-rooftop reveal of Hill Valley town is a direct homage to the reveal of the town in Serge Leone's 'Once Upon a Time in the West'.
Something that's always bothered me: why didn't Doc just pay Mad Dog the money, knowing that the consequence of not doing so was his death?
Well done!! Awesome video!
