I was following ur instructions up to 9.24 when u said let's get it fully stripped down. I had to find another video to show me how to take the hard drive out.
I watched TV with this Sky box in my parents house in the UKand was fascinated at the amount of space on the HDD and still have this Sky+HD Box in their living room; the Sky people still ask them if they want something called SkyQ, but they said that theyre happy with what they've already got; when I was 21 in 2013, I came over to the United States with my uncle and was shocked that the USA didn't have Sky and had something called the Dish Network which is great, I moved out of his house in 2016 when I was 24, met my girlfriend and got our own place; we watch shows on CBS, PBS and Fox; I've been told that they're similar to those channels on Sky
not sure, but i assume there is a partition on the hard drive that the sky box uses. i was hoping to use the parts for a custom pc set up, but sadly i havent
sorry this is taking so long. I keep forgetting to get it when im in the garage. Im sure they are standard fans for the sky box, im not sure what use a model number would be, unless you have a project in mind that i would be interested in?
@@R_T_Ralph I've found the model number. It's a Sunon HA60251V4. It's a 60mm *25mm fan, 12V0.7W, producing 13.8CFM (2500rpm) at 13.8dBa (rated). This is a rather quiet fan considering the performance, and it's available for 5$ on eBay.
mainly, the connectors on the back for other projects, plus they are a great supply of caps and parts just incase. I really wanted to use the board as a small PC, but there really is no point.
I should problem pick up an old SkyHD box, I'm kind of tired of allways picking up +HDs for my collection of historic AV equipment
they very handy for pcs too ima try n find cheap boxes now

Hi, would it be possible to get the model number of the fan in this? It looks kind of special/interesting. Thanks!
