IPC Detonates 24 Planets Instantly Killing Billions - Honkai Star Rail 2.2
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 19 พ.ค. 2024
- This is the reason why IPC is so evil and they are monsters. In a quest set on the fictional world of Penacony, you and a character named Chadwick are forced by a member of the IPC (Interastral Peace Corporation) to activate a devastating weapon that destroys 24 planets and kills billions. Despite your refusals, the IPC member uses violence to coerce compliance, revealing their true nature as a ruthless terrorist organization rather than peacekeepers. This act, motivated by a desire to test the weapon and assert control, exposes the IPC's moral corruption and challenges the player's perception of their purported mission to maintain peace across astral realms.

Let's not forget that number 1, they waited for Topaz's home planet to be at its worst time to give them help but in exchange all people on Topaz's home planet has to become IPC employees
Number 2 Aventurine is a prisoner of the IPC. He was forced to become an IPC employee to stay alive as he was arrested after killing his previous owner and now, The IPC is Aventurine's current owner and they'd kill Aventurine for even one mistake
Oh yeah if your confused on why Aventurine was “helping” them in Penacony is that he proved the opposite that death was impossible also he broke his stone which I think in turn weakens the Preservation emanator (Diamond I think) and that’s the whole point he doesn’t buy his freedom back
I mean its a "slave contract" in word but such contracts are pretty commonplace in reality. Hell, HYV was found with one just recently. Usually, big corpos just draft those contracts to cover their ass in case of disputes. Imagine loaning out resources to a planet to develop it, and then maybe 10 or 20 years later their people start claiming "We did everything! So it's all ours!" and refusing to pay up/return any rightful claims. Besides, if a planet had troubles sustaining itself in the first place, anything in place with the governance there wasn't working out anyway. If an meaningful 3rd party changes were to be made, they'd have to exercise a certain degree of authority to make changes. What else were they supposed to do? Give them money? Give them tech? Not everyone can live the AE life where they just good deeds for no returns.
Its another story altogether if the IPC was found to be sabotaging development efforts deliberately, but that probably happened elsewhere under Oswaldo's Marketing Development Department and not Strategic Investment. I do believe Topaz is genuine in her mission in wanting to save planets and the IPC is merely a means to an end seeing as she's willing to disobey her orders for Belobog. She could've easily just let Belobog collapse on its own or take over by force, but accepted cooperation after seeing Belobog's will to perservere.
And point 2 is moot because if you paid attention to the dialogue Aventurine let himself be caught to bring himself to Diamond or whoever in charge. It's another one of his life-risking gambles, possibly to test fate and see if it brings him to his possible revenge on Oswaldo, who was responsible for the Avgin extinction event, from the inside.
Wait, HYV was found with one? What's this one all about?@@waywardwind6147

"I later learned from others that the higher-ups of the Technology Department who ordered the Imaginary Implosion Pulse detonation were subjected to an internal review. They were never heard of again."
Clearly the IPC wasnt happy with it.
Indeed it's easy to say that IPC is bad but with organization that big it's impossible to keep it clean. Just like in Xianzhou part of Loufu worked with Phantylia, should we brand whole Loufu as madmans working with Lord Ravager
The IPC’s first and foremost objective is peace and preservation. The weakness of having such a massive organization is that controlling dangerous individuals within the group is next to impossible, yet the IPC still bears the responsibility for receiving judgement for said individuals’ crimes.
Obviously the weapon’s development department needed far more oversight than what was present during Chadwick’s story. But also I suspect that much of Chadwick’s work flew under the radar due to the absolute secrecy the entire project worked so hard to maintain. It’s entirely possible the project was being spearheaded by a rogue agency altogether. But even that does not absolve the IPC of their accountability.
Yeah, but the whole point of this quest was the fact that the IPC actually *was* happy with it and secretly wants this weapon to themselves. That's why Chadwick went this far into hiding this knowledge even from his own mind, because the IPC was after him even after there was nothing left of his physical body. They only appeared to condemn this "test" because it'd hurt their public image if they didn't.
In reality, the IPC is a horrible, evil organization. Take Aventurine's and Boothill's homeplanets' history, for example: both planets completely obliterated, natives exterminated in the most brutal ways imaginable and the person behind these atrocities is praised and has one of the highest ranks in the organization. The reason? Planets' resources and a "need" to deal with "uncivilized" nations. And those are only the planets that we know of as of right now, obviously there's a whole lot more.
Even after Topaz' quest in Belobog it was quite obvious they're not a nice bunch.
@@kazuares7212 Not even good to compare IPC org with Xianzhou because even Xianzhou themselves destroy other planets who pursue the life of “immortality”
@@user-nz5gy2dv6u I did not mean destroying planets, because IPC definitely does that to some. What I meant was painting whole organisation in same image as small splinter faction in it
The fact that Qlipoth gazed 2 members of the IPC to be his confirmed Emanators while the Architects and Silvermane Guards were left frozen to dead is a joke to it's entire existence and path. As far as things goes, Bronya and Seele deserves Qlipoth's gaze than those desecrators
Belobog kind of go through a predetermined path of being frozen and become underling of Sterellon if not for Express Crew come into their world and make them choose a correct path, at that time Amber Lord Qlipoth gaze onto Trailblazer to help Belobog... Amber Lord want their follower to choose a path of preserve and protect their species with hope of preservation, not empty will or despairing will of extinction of species...
@@iamhisyam4101 despairing will of extinction of species? they fought an Emanator, pushed to corner, got left behind by their ally, IPC, aside from some fund they gave to build Belobog.
forced to use Stellaron to halt Destruction advance. and still fought for 700 years, if there s any place that would represent Preservation then Jarilo-VI deserved it.
They practically were abandoned by their god, yet still cling into its believed. if the Express doesnt come or if the IPC succeed in their deal. @@iamhisyam4101 you have some sort of a point
Isnt it in the line he already gave up hope when he gazed at trailblazer. Like eh why not everyone is fucked here anyway so any plan would do?
@randomperson4198 I thought it was the spirit of the architects (the child) that gave up hope and allowed trailblazer to carry on the lance of preservation. Trailblazer drawing out the lance was what drew qlipoths gaze.
This is full of misinformation:
1. Chadwick is a member of genius society
2. you're experiencing the whole quest through his memories
3. noone forced him to do anything, when he was younger he had overwhelming ambition, he knew exactly what he was doing but was in denial that it'd ever lead to anything bad
4. if you keep refusing he comments that he wasn't nearly as willed as traveler and that he caved quickly as he too was curious if his invention worked
5. it was 24 celestial objects and 3 civilizations wiped in an instant
6. after it was fired it really hit him and he turned to screwllum for help
7. ipc after funding his project weren't exactly too keen on letting him just slip away, they captured him and interrogated him for life, when he was about to die they made a deal with the family to integrate him into the dream to keep his memories alive so they could dig further
8. the reason noone could find anything is cuz screwllum gave him a memory wipe potion
9. at the end he gives all his knowledge to Herta who vows to not let ipc have it (they're never getting it out of her, she's an emanator afterall)
the whole quest is essentially space oppenheimer

It's time for a revolution! Let's see how the IPC likes the Syndicalists.
They had to make a choice, either let the antimatter legion destroy it all OR nuke them while dealing collateral to 24 planets.
They could have done it with other ways considering they have like infinite budget. Truly an IPC moment.
Chadwick did say that IPC could deal with legion cheaper and with less collateral damage if they didn't use weapon he created.
o7 to millions of the 24 planet
IPC be like: We could give our Trade fleet more defenses and actually give them some reliable weaponry or we could just use this experimental bomb to destroy the Antimatter Legion forces and possibly kill billions of people in the process if other planets get caught up in the explosion.
Yeah I think lets use the experimental bomb we want to test out how good it is first.
Ayo after hearing Boothill’s backstory I don’t trust them anyways
What's the story?
@@pratamahabib1132 apparently he had a daughter and was raised by amazing two fathers, but IPC destroyed his planet and killed his family. The reason he’s a robot is cause the only thing that survived was his head. ;-;
IPC❎️
USA✅️
They kinda remind me of the british empire mixed with american government but in space
Stellaris Players : Only 24 planets? PATHETIC
*Destroys the entire galaxy and possibly the entire universe with the Aetherophasic Engine*
It doesn’t come across as much in EN but the IPC really is a big metaphor for the capitalism and the cruelty of big corporations and stuff. in CN the IPC’s name is often shortened to just 公司, which is the word for ‘company’. it’s get a lot more menacing when characters refer to it, like referring to an entity that’s ‘THE company’ or ‘the corporation’. it really makes them seem like this all powerful being that controls way too many things.
We are a preservation organisation
*destroys 24 planets*
The PCA makes no exceptions
This is why genius society is also scary.Imagine the multiple great geniuses out there that can make such destructive things.Genius society members to me are more scary then someone like acheron.Ruan mei is even trying to become an Aeon
Also you can see how much boothill sabotage ipc in the new event
Sounds just like Mass Effect to me
Ruan Mei literally tried to recreate an Emanator that could've blown up Herta's (Asta's) Space Station. She failed, but who's to say she might succeed next time
@@user-br4qy6cj5g She's not even the worst of them, Dr Primitive and Rubert I would like to have a chat
@@idontspeakjapanese6289 we still not know what reason force rubert make a war will all other organic creature
@@user-br4qy6cj5gnah, she calculated that it wouldn't survive for a long time, and that thing is really weak compared to its prime. She wouldn't want to piss off Herta, especially by killing her best and only SU lab rat.
The ipc has some banger characters like topaz and aventurine, which makes you forget that the ipc as an organization is psychotic
It's interesting to note how the Data Bank states there's bad blood between the Marketing Development Department (Oswaldo and all the other IPC scum we've encountered) and the Strategic Investment Department (where all the playable characters come from)
I mean, if no-one is opposing the IPC then they have created peace...
AND what Is peace, exactly?
@@jeremiasnicolasbustos5001 lmao this is the hole plot of Penacony, is peace best achieved through Harmony, Order, or in a way, Preservation.
We also don't know how much the IPC actually believes in Preservation, or how strong of a connection they have currently. All we know is that Diamond is an emenator of Preservation.
Enclave+IRS=IPC
its speculated that current ipc already goes astray from their original goals/mission.
but isnt it hard to keep big corpo like that to not goes astray? some the board member already changing and sometimes..people has their own ambition/blinded by wealth/status..
while theres still some good hearted employees in there like topaz or the guy who was saved by argenti
i just hope we got the arc where trailblazer and co wreck ipc so they go back to their rightful goals
In IPC's description, the board of director is loyal to Qlipoth
Many people, many factions, many internal conflicts... Yep the astral express going in they main ipc. There gonna Explode a civil war
its those kind of videos with sound effects every 2 seconds
One word: Capitalism. Simply that.
IPC is a galaxy level company btw, you can't really blame them as a whole. Most of the executives that made the decision to use the bomb got silenced after that. But the corpo work culture does make most of the employees annoying and tough to deal with.
I'm guessing there wasn't any real consequence to the IPC as an organization at large?
@@justacatwithasadface2692 There can't be, basically. They're the single largest faction in setting, the only oversight is by other IPC branches and members.
The IPC is currently trying to obtain the plans for the planet destroying weapon, so the main comment is wrong.
That ain't Chadwick, that's Oppenheimer
Topaz angry face really cute 😂
I've done this quest, its so sad
It's not his fault but the ipc, but he took the blame until the day he died, he never forgive himself
Literally the empire with the death stars 😂
Oswaldo; *I LOVE DEMOCRACY, I LOVE CAPITALISM*
They keep peace by ostage
Chadwick is literally the Oppenheimer of Honkai Star Rail
Topaz is definitely a baddie frfr 😏
IPC is literally Fatui if Dottore was the leader instead of Pierro
Tsaritsa is the leader not pierro
Just to point it out, the point of the weapons test wasn't just to gain control of it, but to destroy the Vanguard faction of the Antimatter Legion, which had been on a continuous tear of planets in the area. This was ostensibly the reason they tested it where they did, as they were aiming for the Legion, though the test resulted in the loss of 24 planets in the area, three of which were populated (countless lives lost). Afterwards everyone involved with the decision seems to have been sanction and removed.
They also made Boothill loss his adoptive daughter who litterary still very young 💀
Also the reason i refused to pull topaz.
Kinda Wack
L
that’s a terrible reason but you do you
IPC has a track record of waiting for planets to be on the brink before stepping in as "saviors", Jarilo-VI, Topaz's home, Sigonia, I imagine many more
are we actually surprised they're not really a "peace" corp bc of this little quest?
Now i've become death, the destroyer of the Worlds
Also they killed just about everybody on Boothill’s planet because they wouldn’t establish trade with the IPC that would allow them access to incredibly sought-after mineral resources on the planet. I honestly can’t blame Boothill for having no quarrel with killing them all.
yeah nevermind the astral express traveling with a galactic bomb and a black hole from a different universe entirely
We ain't blowing up planets you know.
Bruh
@@arnowisp6244we not actively do that
Not it can’t happen because us 🤷🏻♂️
They’re not using it to destroy planets so no problem with that.Welt has complete control of both his powers from years of experience (bronya gave back his core in alien space manga). And elio seems to know that the stellaron inside mc won’t do anything bad and we know we can trust elio cause everything elio scripted has been true and helps everyone
@@FD-wl7xq elio just make sure we will not face bad sittuation

Maybe it already happen if elio not intefere
So we aren’t safe. The fate created by elio is what keep us safe
It like you say a bomb is safe just because a professional guy keep it at safe state
Technically, the Trailblazer has the blessing of Qlipoth THEMselves... so this could totally happen:
Trailblazer: "Hey, Qlipoth, can you help me keep the Preservation because the IPC just killed billions of people casually?"
Qlipoth, the Amber Lord, Aeon of Preservation: "...'ight."
The Trailblazer, with Qlipoth, then shuts down the IPC. Asta was mildly traumatized, Topaz was startled, and Aventurine spent the next year and a half trying to hire the Trailblazer.
Amber lord don't do anything aside from their wall though
I doubt we can bargain with the aeon 😂
@@vietcuongnguyenle8530not for now. But we will soon be, since we're being raised to be able to beat Nanook himself in the future
Interestingly, Aventurine called the lance the "architect's failed stone"
@@gustavju4686 By failed, I think thats only IPC's point of view.
The 10 Stonehearts might not be the original ones granted the stones but were given by former Emanators that dies few amber eras ago.
Just like how there are traitors on every planet/ship we have visited
The IPC: "I'm telling y'all, we should blow up Sigonia IV."
I think that this could’ve been the nuke that killed Boothill’s family
