I'm finally a proper fan of Fairy Tail this year after being a fake fan years ago when I was a kid, 8 years old, I watched it all summer before summer ends
I think for the intro outro swap, the english translation for specials makes much more sense of the scene it was assigned and it has a much more sinister feeling, whereas the outro music feels almost upbeat. For me, it shows how Yuji’s bounced back from that low moment in his life. That’s just me tho 🤷♀️

The Dragons, by their own words, were already dead due to an offscreen battle they had with Acnologia hundreds of years ago before they sealed themselves inside of their foster children. This straight up makes Igneel's death even more absurd by telling readers earlier that same chapter, undercutting the best death the story could have had.
You can't count Mavis as she was long 'dead' since before the story started, and her revival and near immediate re-death kind of proves how little Hiro thought of it. Zeref dying doesn't mean anything since a lot of villains die in FT.
Ultear's Copout Magic is another reason why I never take 'death' seriously in FT. We had a boatload of fakeout deaths in the Alvarez Arc, including Makarov, Natsu, Gajeel, Ichiya, Gray, and Luvia. Nothing kills tension worse than knowing the Main Cast never ever suffer more than a few scrapes and bruises, whereas in JJK, the stakes feel incredibly high due to how outclassed most of the Heroes are most of the time.
You can like Fairy Tail, but Natsu ain't Him. He's a Plot Device as much as Erza is, as most of the entire cast are one note tropes rather than actual people with depth to them.

youd also have to say u feel like the stakes are low for other anime like, naruto, dragon ball, and in some cases one piece too, cuz theres no way luffy made it out of impel down alive but yet he still did and there was literally no way bro beat kaido, he literally lost to him like 6 times and then got a power up out of nowhere to win the fight. these type of things are just in anime all the time and while u can be negative and call it a copout, u cant take away the fact that they happen to push a narrative or story forward, otherwise how else do u keep a reader reading
also the whole jjk has stakes that feel high due to how outclass everyone is... idk if u r caught up but gege is literally writing himself into a corner right now with how shit is going in the manga (SPOILERS)
gojo gets off screened after having literally beat sukuna, kashimo loses in two chapters after having literally been hyped up for like most of the arc, and kenjaku gets snuck by yuta after having been distracted by a literal joke character. these are some of the worst decisions ive seen in anime and manga history like EVER when it comes to popular shonen. where are the stakes when characters can die off screen to a writer literally just not being able to know how to kill off their characters, and the same can even be said about the shit that happend in shibuya, why did nobara follow mahito and then just stand around come when she caught up to him. how come panda can stay around while hes useless but todo cant cuz he doesnt have a hand, WHERE IS YUTA LOL. like things just happen in jjk to push the plot forward tht wouldnt make sense in literally any other scenario.
if natsus a plot device then so is itadori, gojo and megumi, cuz they are all written to be these characters with either limitless potential or actual limitless power. and having a large cast of characters such as in fairy tails case does get u one note tropes, as such is the course of making a guild related anime that will have hundreds of characters that you have to write and remember on a constant basis lol

When I mean depth, I mean you can probably take the time to tell me what kind of person that character is based on what is going to be. I watched and read Fairy Tail. Gray is the character with motivation, depth and feels more like a MC, whereas Natsu feels like a tacked on Force of Nature given he always wins, same as Erza (I'd argue she is worse).
Itadori is grounded in a way that feels relatable, and his reactions to horrible tragedy, as well as the gravity of him taking a life makes him feel more human. Natsu wouldn't bat an eye if he killed a person if he perceived them as evil, as he has a very warped moral core; yet has a weird distinction about how he and his Guildmates don't kill by Zeref yet they never had a problem killing before. You see how baffling that is?
If you don't like JJK, that's fine, it isn't for everyone. Just like how Fairy Tail isn't for me. I gave it a fair shot but the annoying characters and the constant defiance of stakes really just came off as insulting to the intelligence of the reader for not expecting anyone with half a brain to figure out what Hiro is doing is asinine.
You complain about dumb decisions in JJK, I can't fault you for that. I do question the Cast and what they are doing sometimes. But in my experience, FT seemed to jump the shark over the moon with how many absurd choices are made both by the narrative and the cast over the course of the story.
theres no bias if u can admit a fault is writing but isnt really a fault if its part of ur story. thts like saying the dragon balls are a copout, like bro its part of the story, call it a copout if u want but ur just crying at that point cuz thts what the author wants lol
grays motivation is so one noted until deliora is dealt with along with silver and then it moves on to end and in turn zeref which just gets gray to be this like revenge focus character.
and the force of nature cuz they dont lose argument kinda falls short when one of fairy tails main take aways is that nothing is impossible if ur bonds are strong enough along with ur will and this is a trope that is in all popular long going Shonen. it literally is how goku and frieza won the tournament of power and nobody hated that shit as much as niggas hate fairy tail.
ur arguemnt on death relies highly on that fact that itadori is a normal boy (just like us) who was thrust into a world unfit for him vs wizards in a world where things like death are relatively common(unlike us)
and even in the earlier arcs everyone in fiary tail hates the idea of killing without a cause and all the dark guilds doing it cuz they see it as wrong. i dont see whats so wrong about killing those who will kill others. its like the whole batman or spiderman situation. if u know someone will continue to kill others, U SHOULD KILL THEM LOL and in fairy tail they gon do that cuz they stand on bidness and thts rly just the way of the world. to b fair Shonen jump is aimed towards ages 12 and up so expecting deep philosophical conversations out of every series is kinda insane to ask for especially out of something light hearted and fun but can get serious when it needs to like fairy tail. youd deadass be comparing basic fighting anime to anime like monster or berserk or tokyo ghoul and of course youll see these patterns, cuz this aint those type of anime. fairy tail is fun, jjk clearly isnt. literally apples to oranges here. and if u dont like fun thts ur taste, but saying its bad becuase it does what its supposed to correctly is insane lol. u dont get this popular being bad lol
decisions in all anime are weird. rly is just an other problem tbh. like megumi literally being so pressed by todo that he was either going to use his domain on him or call mahoraga. like what is gege thinking. or alot of fights later on in fairy tail that include juvia where she is literally made of water but seemingly forgets that in times where it would be useful. again a mashima problem most likely. but seeing as how both these series are still ongoing and even in recent chapters natsu has been doling things like losing and even right now alot of the cast are losing and needing help, and in jjk with it still going on and seeming to be ending soon, im excited to see where both stories go.
