  • Hey guys,
Have you ever wondered what these bikes do 0-60 well this is the more accurate test you can do. The last one I did was a 3.9 on flat ground so I would say the hordpower intake defentily makes a difference!
    Mods:

    Akrapovic titanium exhaust
    HORDPOWER intake

Aftermarket quickshifter will get you there. R6 throttle tube if you haven't already.

You can also just clutchless upshift, you don't really need a quickshifter. Just gotta quickly let off the gas and shift up, you can "preload" the shift lever right before you are about to shift, it should shift smooth as butter if you do it right. Definitely use your clutch for downshifting and starting the bike and normal riding though :)

@@Kevodabomb_Media It's all true, but a quickshifter will make a transmission last longer.

@@exothermal.sprocket all a quickshifter really does is cut the spark at the exact second it detects the shift lever go up. It doesn’t pull your clutch or anything extra. Releasing the throttle quickly at the time of shift does the basically the same exact thing, if you know what you’re doing.
I know a bunch of riders that have been doing this for years with no issues, my FZ07 has almost 30k miles and I’ve been doing it since I bought it brand new. Now if you don’t release the throttle and try to shift up without the clutch, yes, eventually that could and probably will break your transmission. Anyways, they aren’t too expensive, but not everyone has the money or time to get one so just letting you know there’s an alternative.

@@Kevodabomb_Media If you do this, if you do that, if if if. Then your transmission will last just fine. If.
Modern bi-directional QS do a lot more than cut spark. Aftermarket units not so much.

@2 wheel lifestyle its been a year since this upload, how has the intake and tune treated you since the upload? any new thoughts or info on it?

Did you tune after doing the intake?
My best guess is that motorcycle tests are done on a closed course with a highly skilled rider. Not sharing you're not skilled, but they are dialed and can max the bike out.
Unlike a car 0-60 where you really don't need all that much skill to launch. Especially an automatic.
Sounds sick! I have one and need to order a tune and install it.

I can't wait to put the Hord intake on my 07. I'm keeping mine for a long time so I don't mind putting more money into it.

Extending the power curve on these makes it a lot better. I have a 3rd gen SV650 with every bolt on and tune and it pulls strong! I haven't got the chance to race a mt07 with full exhaust and hord air box. Sweet bike though bro!

Your starting technique is all wrong, for fast time rev to 5000, dump/feather clutch. Fastest time will be with some rear tire spin.

Have you ever rode one of these bikes ? It was picking front end up how I was doing it. with the tire setup I got it’s not gonna spin just make me do a back flip. I have since this video got like 3.5 0-60
