this is why im moving to a cool city, luckily there's a good scene there and i'm relatively tech-savvy so i can do shows and build up a reputation in person then try and move it online
Thanks for watching, & for the comment. If you don't mind me asking, where are you moving to? In my next vid I'll talk a bit how the scene *is* changing in some places. Good luck on things in the new city!
the unfortunate part about those 100k tracks that i think you forget to mention is the unoriginality, a problem in and of itself. stars like lil yachty even just recently defined his own sound. now people like glaive took what people are experimenting with, and put his own twist on it. that kind of rarity can command attention, he also is a good marketer like what you mention here.
Hey, thanks so much for watching & commenting. I'm not familiar with either of the artists you mention, but yeah, mediocrity is part of the modern problem. When someone is looking for new music & they encounter dozens of artists that are pretty good at marketing but not so good at creating good music, they will stop searching & go back to the stuff they are familiar with. Maybe the very next artist they heard would have been what they wanted to hear for new music, but they got tired of the search. Great point!
Dale Gribble from King of The Hill was right about “The Beast” Social media is making the workflows of a lot of artist professions crappy. Hope things change soon Rip dale btw
lol, Dale Gribble! He's a beast! And you're right on referencing his quote. Technology is certainly a double-edged sword. Thanks for the fun comment & for watching!

Cool guy, gained a sun from me. 1.99 million more and one day maybe you can barely break even on tour after 4 weeks
Thanks for watching & for the sub! I am foolishly optimistic about be able to barely break even before then, lol!
