There’s a reason for the colors! Beartooth put out a little mini-film about this album (The Surface) and said that one morning he looked out and saw the most beautiful pink sunrise, and he knew the album color was going to be pink. I believe this was the first single and it was before the album had really come together yet. I do know that Caleb has said this song was “the first song [he] ever wrote with even a shred of hope” and it was the first one he wrote after getting sober.

So if you go back to old albums they are much darker songs. Caleb the singer writes all the music and he was battling alcoholism and depression this album is all about positivity and he is happier sober and lost a ton of weight due to being healthier all around.

Yall may not know this but Caleb from beartooth and John from bilmuri use to be in the same bad years ago before they started the two bands they're in now. The bad was called attack attack. If you check it out listen to the song smokahontas by attack attack.

This was Caleb (the lead singers) first song after getting sober and healthy and his joy is infectious in my opinion it’s still like the old beartooth sound but with a very happy shift my goal is one day to see them in concert I relate to a lot of his emotional changes

You need to check out the beartooth blackbird sessions, it’s a studio session with 4 songs that mean a lot to Caleb, for some reason barely anyone has reacted to it which is wild because it’s phenomenal, it’s a studio, kinda more chilled stripped back version of songs from the album “Disease” he talks about the songs a little between, either do the whole thing as a long form video or you can watch the individual songs are there to watch too, the entire thing is just over 20 minutes though so it’s easily doable, even get a little tears from him during the last song “clever” it hits hard. 1000% worth the watch.

I got excited and clicked too quickly thinking this was the song Riptide that Will Ramos recently put out. Since you guys are now familiar with Lorna Shore/Will, you should definitely check it out for a different side of Will!
Edit: this song is also a bop, and Beartooth kills it
