Track is a metaphor for maintaining one's identity and not allowing it to be stolen. It tells the story of a person in turmoil, screaming out in desperation and attempting to not drown in their struggles. The chorus emphasizes the need to maintain a "gold" or valuable personal identity, and to not let anyone take it away. The song is a reminder to stay true to oneself and protect one's own values, even when faced with difficult and challenging times.
What is the instrument that starts at 0:16 with that repeating theme? Sounds like a synthesizer or electric guitar but I can't tell. Part of what makes this song so GREAT. And the guys look like they're having such a great time in this video.
Don't forget to check their early albums, like Rubber Factory, Magic Potion and Thickfreakness ! They are too underrated, a lot of people know the black keys only with their most famous hits and i think it's sad
Got absolutely nothing to do with RnB... RnB is soul music, Motown... that's bluesy indie rock'n'roll. Normally I'm ain't picky with the labels but that is so not RnB xD I've been working in this industry for over 15 years btw

Ain't no guard in my house
Track is a metaphor for maintaining one's identity and not allowing it to be stolen. It tells the story of a person in turmoil, screaming out in desperation and attempting to not drown in their struggles. The chorus emphasizes the need to maintain a "gold" or valuable personal identity, and to not let anyone take it away. The song is a reminder to stay true to oneself and protect one's own values, even when faced with difficult and challenging times.
U mean the music contract they signed is kllling them.....?

Best song of the decade? It might be! 👍
What is the instrument that starts at 0:16 with that repeating theme? Sounds like a synthesizer or electric guitar but I can't tell. Part of what makes this song so GREAT. And the guys look like they're having such a great time in this video.
I listened this song for first time when I saw point break, I have finally found it!. Gold on the ceiling =D
+Luis Guerrero yo también pero ya la conocía :v

I love this track , groovy 🎉
I haven’t listen to this in years and it’s still amazing
Songs sound better when you haven’t listened to them in a long time.
This is my wake up song
Todavía recuerdo cuando escuchaba esta canción ni bien se estrenó. No puedo creer que hayan pasado tantos años. Me siento vieja 😢
I just discovered The Black Keys, have been missing out on a lot !!!
Don't forget to check their early albums, like Rubber Factory, Magic Potion and Thickfreakness ! They are too underrated, a lot of people know the black keys only with their most famous hits and i think it's sad
We are here in 2023 a few months from 2024.
Stop asking who's still here. I'm here every single morning. I never left 👍
Nobody did
Yep, got that right Brother 👍👍♥️

The Black Keys - Gold On The Celing: An Instant Fix Of Good Old Filthy Ryhtm And Blues Sound
Got absolutely nothing to do with RnB... RnB is soul music, Motown... that's bluesy indie rock'n'roll. Normally I'm ain't picky with the labels but that is so not RnB xD I've been working in this industry for over 15 years btw
YOU NEVER EVER come to Sydney - i can’t Listen to YOU anylonger. For me best band ever. Thank YOU for making music AND history. Adela not sure why Caps keep coming up.
