ADORABLE! You might want to get a miniature silicone spatula, they have them at the dollar tree and they sure do save your fingers from getting burned, you can use they to push down and hot glue doesn't stick to silicone...
Activities with the grandchildren are the best! I hope you all have a wonderful time making the gnome! I have posted a tutorial on making a snowman, penguin and Mr and Mrs Claus. I hope you have time to watch them.
So cute! Great instructions😀. Fringe TIP: Measure and mark a black line with a sharpie on the top of the blade of your scissors. When cutting, just line your fabric to the line...nice long cut an viola...always even length cuts😉
I made one of these Penguins for my Aunt for Christmas!!! Besides burning my dang index finger a zillion times, (LOL), it was easy AND fun to make!!! And my Aunt loved it!!!! 😁
It really is darling! The snowflake fleece is just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing. Great tutorial. And thank you for having no music - I find music so distracting.
I made a number of these last winter 2022..having some ladies for brunch next wk. This is going to be our craft project. An FYI the white felt and the fringe on the hat are cute cut with a pinking scissors. Happy Crafting!
I loved how easy this was to follow and that turned out so darn cute. These are going to be a big hit in my senior's only building bazaar. Thanks for the cute idea and for sharing.
Super cute! Can't wait to finish mine tomorrow. Thank you for your pattern/stencil/form. I made myself a set and put them in a zip lock for future penguin making!
Everyone has to take a drink everytime we hear the word CUTE! LOL even though it is SUPER cute..........going to make some with the kids ! :) PS GREAT video
Cutest penguin I've seen thus far and I've seen many!! Thank you for the detailed illustrations, especially the exact measurements of the fleece and felt. I'm getting supplies ready to make one myself. I found the exact snowflake patterned fleece you are using at Joann's but couldn't find the pink colored fleece on the other penguin you've made I love that one but at Joann's I did find a pink and blue colored fleece with a cocoa cup pattern. It's really cute. I'm using poly pellets instead of rice for now. I hope it's as cute as the one you made!!
He is so cute, I was also looking at your Mr. and Mrs. Clause. They are terrific. I am in hopes that you will continue to make more tutorial. You are very good with them all.
This is super cute. You did a great job showing how to make this. I only have one question, it is about using rice or beans. Will the rice or beans ever start to rot? That is my only concern.
I am always late in seeing these awesome tutorials but I was just wondering if you sell these at craft fares for the holidays and if so, what you would charge for them? This really is so Adorable, I Love it and will hopefully have time to make a couple for my Granddaughters for Christmas. The youngest is only 8 months old so I don’t want to use these type of eyes. I was thinking about just drawing the eyes on so there is nothing to worry about choking on, unless you have a better suggestion. I could always embroider the eyes as well!?!? What do you think? Thank you for the great Idea and Instruction. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us. Your new fan, JilliBean
I haven’t sold any...... I just give them away as fast as I make them. But, I would add up the cost of your supplies and add your time on top of that. I hope that helps. Merry Christmas!🎄
I have two questions. Could you please provide the pattern for the white part of the body and face? Second question is why do you freeze the rice for three hours?
Oh my goodness! He's precious! I wonder if I didn't use hot glue, or rubber bands could he go in the microwave oven, to use for muscle aches, or as a hand warmer. 🤔
When I made heatable and freeze packs such as you describe, I found flax seed to be the filler I favored. Flax seeds are flattish and slip over each other very nicely
I haven’t tried that. But there is a twine that is heat proof. I got it in the cooking section at Walmart. You might need to make a modification with the eyes too. I’ll have to look into making something that could be used for muscle aches. Thanks for the suggestion! Merry Christmas!🎄
MAKING 2 FOR A GAL WHO WORKS AT OUR INSURANCE OFFICE WHO GOES OVER & ABOVE HELPING ME. MAY MAKE 2 FOR A SWEET NEIGHBOR, TOO. THANKS FOR GREAT INSTRUCTIONS VIDEO!

ADORABLE! You might want to get a miniature silicone spatula, they have them at the dollar tree and they sure do save your fingers from getting burned, you can use they to push down and hot glue doesn't stick to silicone...
My grandchildren will LOVE making these!!!! You can do reindeer, snowmen, elves and Santa too, I suppose!

So cute! Great instructions😀. Fringe TIP: Measure and mark a black line with a sharpie on the top of the blade of your scissors. When cutting, just line your fabric to the line...nice long cut an viola...always even length cuts😉
Quick tip when tying the twine: double loop it before tying the knot. It will hold the loop closed...
I made one of these Penguins for my Aunt for Christmas!!!

LOVE THIS!!!!
I have two questions. Could you please provide the pattern for the white part of the body and face? Second question is why do you freeze the rice for three hours?
What’s the purpose in putting the rice in the freezer?
ive heard it kills any mites or whatever might be in it. Its a safety thing. 24 hours
Have a bowl of ice water handy in which to stick the digits that come in contact with the hot glue.
He's so sweet, I guess you could glue on some orange felt feet too
Love this little penguin.

Cute penguin. I think it needs feet
How do I get the template/pattern for the face, tummy, beak?
So cute!!
Why do you freeze the rice? This was not mentioned in the gnome tutorial ?
I read it was supposed to kill bugs
