13/September/2020 update: The movie has been cancelled. I’m not going to go into it, but as of right now there is a video on the EWFM channel wherein PiP goes into further detail on camera for about 40 minutes. My deepest sympathies to everyone in the crew. You have all given so much to this community, and I wish you the best of luck with all of your creative endeavours in the future. ❤️
I like how he added path of borealis as the music in the intro, as both half life 3 and the fan movie have had fans waiting for ages (until now with half life alyx's ending).
Actually although Jeff Lew did do the majority of the work he did have voice actors and I think he had some one to help him with some of the animation or the renders and he also had a character designer and someone to help with the music. Also the film had a budget of 1 million dollars. It’s still a masterpiece tho.
I'm excited for this to come out! Respect the crew of the EWFM and remember that they have things outside of TH-cam to focus on. Please be mindful of the crew's time and how much they work. I'm saying this because I watch an animator that has an EW series, and everyone is rushing them to get episode 6 out. I’m not gonna lie the characters feel like just regular characters when they’re not voiced by their voice actors who they’re based off of. (In my opinion)
I wouldn’t say that everyone who cares about eddsworld should be excited for the movie. Considering the history of the project, I wouldn’t be surprised if some eddsworld fans the movie will be bad and or will be hesitant. But that doesn’t mean they don’t really care for the show. Other than that, loved the video!
Literally 3 minutes in and I'm just like.. HA. As an animator, I'll say, good fuckin' luck trying to make a full length feature film in one year. Especially if you don't even have a written script yet. Usually it takes anywhere from 4 to 7 years for a fully animated movie like this to get made, and that's going by Pixar standards, 2D animation is typically much more time consuming than 3D animation. So yeah I'd say optimistic is putting it a bit lightly. Edit: Oh and God help you if you plan on doing this alone.

@@ediwf8652 I know, the animatic. That's not particularly closed to finished, and IIRC, it's not the version of the plot we were going to get either. No hate for these guys' work, it's just that making a movie is a huge undertaking, and even though they probably weren't the reason it never got finished, any distraction from such a big project is going to put it in jeopardy!

Honestly, this fan movie being cancelled might be for the better looking how troubled the predaction was. Especially that Marc did leave the project, cause his leak animation which I assume is his version of the film was really bad (and the fact he turn out to be a groomer later on, which is really sad, even if I didn't like the guy). But from what I see, the crew got hired by Matt to work on new Eddsworld episodes, so there is a happy ending to this. Who knows, maybe the will in fact make the Eddsworld someday but as a official production now.
