At 28:27, Russell's comment about how we forget what it was like learning as a child and the absence of pressure just REALLY hit me. It's very insightful and I take it to heart with other aspects of my life. Great episode, Eric and Syndney were wonderful as well. Thanks Don!

You should read a book on "flow" by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. He describes this concept from a psychology perspective, how humans learn optimally when things are not too hard but also not too easy.

    Don!!
I’m soo glad that I found this channel!
Not only you, but the vast majority of your guests grant me so much encouragement.
To hear that I’m not the only one who wanted to cry through the myriad of failures on this path. To know that it’s not just me but the majority of us who have to tackle (or be tackled by) the imposter syndrome and the constant rejection emails. . .
Once again, thank you for this motivation to get back up and continue pressing forward. 👍🏾

I'm glad my content has been so helpful for you. Yeah, becoming a developer really tests how well you handle failure. It really tests what you're made of.

Really nice seeing these reviews on Coding Temple as I’m a graduate of the program as well. And i completely agree with everything said, one thing I would say to my younger self is being ambitious is a great thing, but also be realistic when it comes to the learning process.

I feel like I'm not smart enough to be a developer but I'm not giving up . Im doing a Bootcamp and still feel like I dont know anything all. But Ive shown some of the stuff I'm learning to some friends and they say I'm a genius to know how to do it lol.
