18:05 is huge. Just going through the motions can make you feel empty and defeated. I’m always looking for enthusiasm. There’s people that go to work. There’s people that are enthusiastic about going to work. It’s like a mental adjustment on how you perceive your project. So if I’m feeling enthusiastic about my work out I’m going to have a great one! If I’m feeling bummed about it and dreadful…it’s going to drag. So enthusiasm is kind of like your belief in the project. To see it through to the end. No matter how crappy it may seem. No matter how many friends are blossoming before you. No matter how disappointing it may _seem_ it’s good to have enthusiasm with you projects or you can end up just going through the motions. It’s like showing up to fight a boxing match with the mentality that “I’ve already lost” and Mike Tyson already knew he had a fight in the bag when he sensed this defeat in his opponents psyche before the fight even started. All I’m trying to say is that keeping the enthusiasm despite the scoreboard is _always_ the start to a big comeback win 🏆. Tom Brady and the patriots were down 28 pts in a Super Bowl during the 4th qtr. They kept fighting and came back for the win! Also respect for having the courage to go on the show. 🫡
Love the entire perspective, but yeah to your last point, I have nothing but respect for him for sharing his vulnerability and coming onto the show. Many people don't have the courage to do something public like this.
