Best things to do in Tochigi: Nikko City & Tobu World Square | Japan Travel

  • Hey everyone 😊
In this video, I take you to the place of yokai legends and hot springs in Nasu before heading over to Japan's grandest shrine, Toshugu Shrine in Nikko. If you aren't blown away by the ornate carving at Toshogu shrine then be prepared to have your socks knocked off at Tobu World Square! Travel around the world at Tobu World Square...almost quite literally. It's an amusement park full of the world's most famous landmarks but at 1/25 the size. The attention to detail when creating these replicas is incredible.
Each of these locations is highly recommended for any lover of travel.

There is actually a lot more to do in Nikko City but The shrine is just the most famous...and for a good reason, too. I've seen way too many shrines since moving to Japan so I can honestly tell you that Nikko Shine is 100% worth visiting. I was also really surprised by the level of detail at Tobu WOrld Square.

My favorite part about Japan is the hot springs! They are so relaxing. I had a 3rd-degree burn on my left thumb from accidentally splattering boiling water on it. It took forever to heal and was incredibly painful! Lucky for me, I only got a 1st-degree burn on my right thumb so at least I could still use that one lol.
