ever since I heard Satoshi say the word "sakkuto" in another video where you guys first try a Takoyaki Cheese Dog and then it was a Senbei, I have to remember to think of sakkuto whenever I eat something that is crispy and crunchy.

We really liked this box. We used the nuts on top of French Toast. I liked the lemon biscuit best.

Hello from Maryland in the United States 😊 I was so surprised to see that chocopan! It recently popped up at my nearest 7-11 and I fell in love with it! It’s sooo stinkin good! You can definitely smell the yeast as soon as you open it and the fluffy texture is heavenly! I’m glad you guys enjoyed it as much as I did! ❤️❤️

Bokksu is probably my favorite snack subscription box because the snacks are actually authentic, something you would buy as a souvenir from these independent vendors rather than at a supermarket in Japan you can just as easily get online.
I was a bit sad that they had to change a few snacks in my seasons of Japan box though, particularly the Hokkaoido potatoes one- really wanted to try those but oh well. Still delicious :)
Also, I'm amazed that they offer free shipping worldwide yet I got their box at the EXACT same time as my Tokyo Treat box... and I had to pay 10$ for DHL shipping for that.

I got this one a couple weeks ago and those walnuts were AMAZING!!!
We have varieties of that bread, at the Asian markets in Missouri, made by the same brand but we have plain red bean, hokkaido cream, coffee, and a couple others if I remember correctly they're all really soft and good!

I want to try the kabuki age with shiquasa!! I love rice crackers and am a huge fan of citrus fruits. The okinawan soba snack looks interesting as well.

I just signed up for 3 months of Bokksu...the variety, especially of fresher type items, looks really nice! Glad I remembered that y'all are sponsored so I saved $11 :D Sad I won't get to try this (or August...I get a generic box first) but so excited to try the future boxes! I really love autumn flavors so I hope September will have some really cool finds. What types of flavors are popular in Japan in the fall? And how do they compare to the US, where spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and flavors like apple and pumpkin are the strongest representatives for the season?

I've had that same kind of bread made with the Okinawan black sugar...it was chocolate though so it might not have been the same?? I don't know. But it was so good.

Wait that Okinawan black sugar bread I'm so confused I bought that at my local Japanese store. It looks like the same Packaging. I live outside of Atlanta Georgia. But they really ship a bread product from Okinawa to a Japanese grocery store in Atlanta? I think I actually one of those they're so good. They're light and fluffy.
I believe the bread they ate was made from okinawa brown sugar and made in Okinawa. The company that makes this bread makes it in many flavors. When I lived in San Jose, CA, their breads were at all Japanese food stores and at Daiso stores in many flavors. I'm glad to hear you cab get it in Georgia, that's great
Is Justins right eye okay? My parents dog also had a kind of glaucoma start to form in her eye and she had to have drops to go in her eye to prevent it. It looks like the shimmer in their eyes but with a cloudy look to it. I hope all is well! Love from Canada

Black sugar isn’t new in the U.S. we call them Molasses Cookies
The black sugar in Okinawa is totally different than the U.S. stuff. And the molasses cookies are also totally different in flavor from the Okinawan black sugar cookies.

There you go again. It is not Ube or purple yam. It is an Okinawan sweet potato. Potato, not yam. Ube and Okinawan sweet potato, though similar, are not the same thing. While I did have the Beni Imo soft serve ice cream in Okinawa at Blue Seal, but never tried the Ube ice cream. You grew up in Hawaii Shinichi, you should know the difference.
