I love my T6 campervan as most ownwers do. I prefer its space in the drivers footwell, the proper power steering, and the dash.
I just don’t understand why Vw would stop making such a popular vehicle, the new collaboration with ford for the t7 will be popular with the transit lovers but Vw customers won’t be happy , the quality won’t be the same it’s basicly a ford with a Vw badge on , I’ve just managed to get a t6.1 sportline with delivery miles on it , they will be like hens teeth in a few years so hopefully a good investment!!
surely there would be more t6's available as people/companies will start buying the Buzz and T7's...? and by the time they become a bit thin on ground, there will likely be a few t7's about..
perhaps offer a basic spec van? you can fit cruise control aftermarket, you would just need to change the steering wheel for one with the controls and then activate it using an obd programmer... you could also offer a replacement head unit- to get the entertainment system up to spec- with android autoo/apple carplay..
You're right Iain, there will be plenty of T6.1 available for the next few years, but I was really talking about the pool of new and nearly new vans as a lot of the people we speak to want a new/ish T6.1. Plus I personally don't think The T7 and ID Buzz are as suited to being a camper base vehicle, but we will transition into those models at some point through necessity.
@@HighlifeCampersUK cool, another thought is the toyota pro-ace, of all the stellantis vans, this one is the better, it generally comes with a higher spec level, than say a vauxhall.. and toyota offer a 10 year warranty on a new van, the 180 bhp auto is a lot quicker than the VW aswell! we use manual vauxhall versions at work, and the smaller combo vans... not had too many issues with them- just the particular vauxhall dealership employ morons..lol(did a service, forgot to put oil filter on properly, lost all the oil out of it on a run on the motorway 200 miles later, and they tried to pass it off as a cam oil seal failure...)

Retool and go back to making T4’s but Hybrid versions. IMO
Quality,loool people will stop paying over the top for an average product when the look else where that’s what will happen.

@@HighlifeCampersUK because it’s the people who are so into the brand and think they are the pinnacle. But as you say if people are forced to look then they will start to see what other options. I’m in the market for crafter or a man build. I’m trying to look past the chronic ad blue faults plaguing the platform and soon you start to see other options.

Hi Marc, we have no intention of diversifying, there is a huge demand for VW campers consistently, despite the high prices, plus Ford campers depreciate quickly and are far less in demand.
The next T7 is a shared platform with the Transit custom how you gunna square that circle 😉

Dear Uk you are the happiest people in Europe, because you did the Brexit and you stopped the dictatorship of the EU. In 2035 all motor campers are banned for the EU-citizen and vacation will be with these gigantic e-cars with 180 km rage perfect. Vacation as my grand parents did. This is EU evolution always one step back for ten times the costs. Can I get asyl in the UK please.
now new vehicles are starting to arrive quicker its going to flood the market with used vans and crash the value
