My experience of 3rd service was outstanding. I am sharing why it was exceptional.

Thanks for covering your service experience. Regarding the rattling sound from A and B pillars, they are more related to design flaws and fit/finish. Generally, the service guys are able to address the problem for a brief time but they would again come back. I do have the similar issues in my Nexon 2020 ( XM diesel). What I feel is the only way we can get past is try to fix it by ourselves 😎. As for service experience, I am also fortunate that I have had good experience (3 services are done) 😇

For Diesel Engines 15w40 grade works well in our Indian conditions. 0w20 is too thin for Diesel motor, and Fully Synthetic is not compulsory, Semi Synthetic is more then enough. Also, there is no difference between Normal and BS6 tagged engine oils, it's just a marketing gimmick so don't fall for it.

Hi brother, when AC was ON did you need accelerate more for 1&2nd gear for diesel nexon xma version? Bec vehicle not moving as compared without AC for 1&2nd gear. Tata nexon showroom mechanic people saying you need to accelerate bec load is more when AC was ON? Was it true?

Bhai saab aap happy ho kyunki aap ki third service hai agar aapki Nexon diesalbs6 hai to aap fourth ya fifth service me pakka royenge kyunki after 45 to 50 thousand company bolegi ki injector problem hai so think 4 injector hai agar 1 ka bhi cost aap me aaya to sochna aur 4 injector ka Aaya to bhai bhai bhai Rona nahi aapko
0w20 oil grade is just too thin. At sub zero temperatures when starting the engine it will flow good but at operating temperature it will be very thin and not provide adequate protection from wear and tear. Its better suited for places that have low temperatures all year. Its better to use 5w30 or 5w40 for diesel engines. Manufacturers have started using 0w20 oil for achieving high fuel economy but the price to pay for this is increased wear on engine. 5w30 and 5w40 are thicker oils and will have high viscosity at operating temperatures and will provide better wear protection and there will be very minor drop in fuel efficiency. Most probably to achieve high fuel efficiency figures in BS6 Nexon Tata have switched to 0w20 to compensate for drop in fuel efficiency due to BS6 components installed. Tata recommended 5w30 oil for bs4 Nexon.

The one good thing about Tata is after 2022 April. They have struck a deal with Petronas as their official engine oil partner.And as of now all the new cars serviced will get fully synthetic 0W 20 Petronas synth 7000 oil. Petronas is right up there with Amsoil and Liqui Moly in terms of quality of oil.
yes, Liqui, Molly has better oil additive packages but as far as the base stock oil is concerned Petronas is right up there.

Muze nexon lena hai. Maine petrol aur diesel dono XM varient dekha hai. Kya aap suggest kar sakte hai ki petrol lena better rhega ya diesel. Aur konsa varient value for money rahega.
Agr apki running jada hai to diesel consider kro. Agr Normal running hai to go for petrol one. Diesel or petrol m nearly 1.25-1.5 lakh ka difference hai

Do you know what engine oil does Tata recommends? Like which company and what rating ? Now the service center is using fully Synthetic Mobil 0w20. But is this recommend by Tata motors ? Is there anything mentioned in user manual?
Download Owner's Manual its mentioned new BS6 Tiago, Tigor, Altroz & Nexon are recommended 0w20. Castrol, Mobile & petronas. Whereas 5w30 in bs4 version.

According to manual, it needs to be changed, agar clogged hai to change karwa lena, 400 ka hai. Agar air pass aachi ho rahi hai to ask advisor to let it be
To get a good service you should not need to make good relations in service center. Everyone should be treated equal. It is their job after all.

Unfortunately I was talking to someone else at that point and could not see what they did. may be some adjustment and tightened some nut bolt

For me after 3rd service, it started lil vibrant even while it is ideal after it start and engin noise started getting in to cabin.
They said it’s normal and showed after cars also as same 🤦
Now I have to start with other service center in my hometown.

5w30 k jagah pe 0w20 daalna sehi hein? 0w30 hota to sehi tha mere hisab se.. kyuki the oil might lose its viscosity in high temperature.
BS6 vehicle kam heat hoti hain as compared to bs4 due to carborator
If the company is recommending 5w 30 or 5w 40, no matter what you can't decrease the 30 or 40 part because the oil will lose its viscosity in high attained temperature.

Will that effect my warranty.

Tata steel is gud, plastic parts r too poor... My Tigor's dashboard centre AC air vents left right direction lever broke in first month of delivery... Advised to change full frame for rs 1200, but I disagreed as the new part wud hav same poor quality... A mechanic at Tata service centre put personal efforts, and pasted the lever insude, after opening full plastic air vent
same with me, the parts of vent are very poor quality, i got it replaced once in warranty, they broke again.

Tata has changed to 0w20 in all bs6 engine in Altroz, Tiago, Tigor & Nexon for a reason. Also fuel injector has been optimized to run efficiently at lower temperature. Bs6 fuel is different than bs4.
My experience has been pathetic with Nexon burning smell from engine, busted AC, snapped alternator belt, poor on road service after breakdown and still rattling noise from engine after full inspection and repair by Sab motors gzb all in 3 months of purchase. Wonderfully no one from Tata calls for feedback ever if you call them they behave like govt Babus. It is the safest car as it won't move

Tata ki service in my area meerut (Shree vasu automobiles) is the worstest on earth. Sala kam do kaudi ka nahi kartey, aur puri enth mein rehtey hai. Will never ever go for tata in life. @Tata Motors

0w20 shud b used only for high end petrol cars only

The pistons shud have lubricating film while operating, but in Indian cars, too high operating temperatures, due to both climate and traffic, and taking machine to off roading also, too thin oil like 0w20 doesn't lubricate the pistons, especially for diesel engines, which hav heavy compression ratio

Synthetic oil se kuch fark ni padta, normal oil bhi dala sakte ho. Mere pass bhi BS6 gadi h normal hi dalata hu.
Synthetic oil normal se double price me aata h.
