Things I don't like about this device(*MY OPINION*)- 1. No front-facing speakers 2. No NFC 3. No Quick Charge 4. Not a 5-inch display 5. Still needs invites -_-
I mostly agree with you though I don't find the screen size a pain. It is a bit big but I once owned the LG G3 and I was fine with that 5.5 inch screen!
Tech Tavern yeah, since I've never used a phone that size for a long term, maybe that's why, but anyway, other than that, most of the other things should have been included.
Arjit Mehra With the NFC and Quick Charge part it's not impossible that there will be numerous third party accessories such as an NFC module or a quick charge adapter since you can pry off the back cover. And the invites system, as much as you, and I, and they, hate it, is one of the ways to keep the cost down; Havta understand that by keeping the orders in controlled amount, they can manage their inventory so that they won't manufacture more than necessary, which cuts costs down a *_lot_*. They're not Samsung, LG or Apple who all have countless factories, assembly lines and retail branches and stores all over the world
RusticKey NFC won't work, it's not baked into the device, dunno about the quick charge. Yes, I know invites are used for that particular reason, but I still don't like it.
If they had the inventory to sell millions of devices at launch, they would use the invite system. They are not just doing it to annoy you. There's a reason behind it.
KleX Of course they can't set themself on the same level as one of the major players there, right from the start. They exspected the OPO to be sold around 30-100k. But it sold 1.5m times, and this just per invite system. So I think they can be quite satisfied.
Mikemike690 They had to keep the costs down, then again, a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C is a much welcome addition as normal MicroUSB connectors are too fragile.
I get your point, but it is only around about $6 at the very max for the extra wireless charging and NFC chip. How can this even be a flagship killer without NFC when Android Pay is launching soon?
Mikemike690 $6 would just be for the hardware, there's research and quality control costs, and then testing, adding software support for NFC and much more, however adding a wireless charging system would have been comparatively cheaper than NFC. According to me, I know how important Android Pay is, so I can see OnePlus planning a smartwatch similar to the Apple Watch that you'd need to use Android Pay, this move would help them keep costs down for the OP2 and also grab a share of the smartwatch market while providing Android Pay as the major reason for OP2 or OPO owners to buy the watch.
Zubin Butt Yes I do agree with you, but with all their success last year couldn't they at least future proof it? They did call it a "2016" flagship killer. Also one more thing is that most people won't buy it just because of this NFC problem, for example my school has these vending machines which rely on QR codes or NFC, QR codes are very very slow to recognize compared to just tapping your phone. Although there have been reports of contacts on the back of the phone which could lead to supporting StyleSwap backs with incorporate NFC, with enough uproar we could turn it around and have them put NFC into their covers. But I still don't 100% know that the processor supports it or not.
"...a small packet filled with some documentations such as a quick start guide and probably some other stuff you won't pay attention to." Dom knows what's up lol
Hey Dom, nice video as always, question: what band is the one you're using on your apple watch on this video? I have the space black SS Apple watch and I think that "black Milanese looking band" will go nice with it. THANKS
I think they did a superb follow up to the one. I had put aside 550$ for the "2" and now that I see the price tag at 390 I am extremely excited. I usually get rid of my old phone once I purchase a new device but the price point allows me to keep both the one and the two! Great video!
Does it have RAW photo option? Also wanted to know the 4k video bitrate and/or manual control options, but I'll wait for retail units and final firmwares for that :D
Dude... I went out of my way to like this and all of your videos (because they are generally awesome). But that opening scene with the dirty ass window?? Looks like it rained dirt at your place. C'mon man! Clean them windows up! You got company coming over! Keep up the amazing crispy videos. Just..you know. Tidy up. Peace.
they earned my loyalty, that price supersedes all my expectations, every single one, now i just have to look out for more reviews based on quality but so far seems solid to me
Dom, What about the OTG support and what happens when fingerprint scanner scans wrong fingerprint. Hope both the points you coverup or show them in your next video I'M WAITING...! Thanku.
what do you think of OnePlus 2 after the Motorola Moto X Style announcement? Will you do a comparison between the two since they have similar price point? Mainly the screen comparison. Thanks
Is it easier to shoot footage in landscape now that the camera is positioned further from the sides unlike the majority of the phones out there which I find easy for my finger to accidentally cover the lenses?
Hey Dom, Im new tio this channel and looking to buy an oneplus 2. However i live in Australia and wondering if the US version will work on optus like calls texts 3G but i dont rlly mid if 4G LTE doesnt work all the time.
Good stuff!
Gonna break it lol
Your videos are destructively interesting 😂👌🏼
What you gonna do to it
TechRax Thanks man! Don't break my video.
I think it looks amazing with the wood back. Awesome video Dom!
Yeah... I just watched the whole thing in 360p. Dope video as always Dom!
#teamcrispy
Christopher Martinez #teamsoggy
This is a delicious video-especially for not being in-studio. You're a master.
Snazzy Labs haha thanks man. I actually really liked the atmosphere here. Love the warm tones.
The arrangement of the camera, flash and the laser auto focus freaks me out!
Not having NFC is a let down but I will have to hold off on the rest of my thoughts until I get my unit!
Great video Dom! Looking forward to picking one of these up.

Yeah definitely. Especially nfc and I would have loved front facing speakers!
Arjit Mehra With the NFC and Quick Charge part it's not impossible that there will be numerous third party accessories such as an NFC module or a quick charge adapter since you can pry off the back cover.

Loved the video ! And that Kevlar back looks sweeeeeeet!
Is that a space grey Milanaise Loop on your Apple Watch? :D
And I love the OnePlus 2 so far, looks slick and seems like a great deal.
Damn Dom, this was a really awesome video.
Great video Dom, pretty interesting stuff!
This is a very nice and well made video. Might subscribe
Videography, best I've seen.
I'm new here.
Got yourself a new subscriber.
It could be a flagship killer, but the invite system kills it. Thats why it won't sell as good as samsung for eg.
If they had the inventory to sell millions of devices at launch, they would use the invite system. They are not just doing it to annoy you. There's a reason behind it.

KleX Quality over quantity.
lucas iversen You don't need an invite anymore for the OP1, but you do now for the OP2
lucas iversen Sure. I will just give a super rare Invite to a radom foreign guy for free
Hey Dom quick question are the speakers stereo or mono like the previous one
360P club !!
As usual nice one Dom !!
Awesome video Dom!! :)
Oneplus adds USB-C but gets rid of NFC and quick charging, 10/10 Oneplus future proofing
Mikemike690 They had to keep the costs down, then again, a fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C is a much welcome addition as normal MicroUSB connectors are too fragile.

Mikemike690 That;s just your school. I'm sure you'll be able to add nfc to the back due to the removable back cover.
Great mini review man
Is the sandstone feel the same as with the previous phone?
Hey Dom just wondering is the oneplus two cable longer than the oneplus one cable.
Great video man! Loved it. Totally #TeamCrispy
"...a small packet filled with some documentations such as a quick start guide and probably some other stuff you won't pay attention to."
Dom knows what's up lol

Pretty dope phone! Nice coverage dom!
Do you know if it's going to work on Verizon network?
Dang this phone is so fresh.. Can't wait to get one. I just hope they fixed the call quality that bothers me so much on my oneplus now
What band are you using for your Apple watch?
This button with the digital sensor it is depressible or is simply a capacitive button?
Washington Siqueira programmable one or double click. Cool huh...
Washington Siqueira It does not depress. It is effectively just like the capacitive buttons.
Amazing video Dom........
I think they could have done better with camera and screen.
Hey Dom, nice video as always, question: what band is the one you're using on your apple watch on this video? I have the space black SS Apple watch and I think that "black Milanese looking band" will go nice with it. THANKS
HOWD U GET IT? THE INVITE SAID 3 WEEKS?!

I think they did a superb follow up to the one. I had put aside 550$ for the "2" and now that I see the price tag at 390 I am extremely excited. I usually get rid of my old phone once I purchase a new device but the price point allows me to keep both the one and the two!

Looks like a nice phone! I am really excited for that sound profile button. Was waiting for someone to copy that from the iPhone.
What type of watch do you have?
Will it work on sprint network?
Any transparant cases that work with the styleswap covers?
Transparent*
Does it have RAW photo option?
Also wanted to know the 4k video bitrate and/or manual control options, but I'll wait for retail units and final firmwares for that :D
How long does it need to recharge to 100% ?
Dude... I went out of my way to like this and all of your videos (because they are generally awesome). But that opening scene with the dirty ass window?? Looks like it rained dirt at your place.
C'mon man! Clean them windows up! You got company coming over!
Keep up the amazing crispy videos. Just..you know. Tidy up.
Peace.
Michael willever lol wasn't my window

Does one plus still sell the one plus one? And do they still need an invite for it?
Seems like everyone is in the OnePlus Club. They're invading all at once. DUCK AND COVER. THEY'RE TAKING OVER!
they earned my loyalty, that price supersedes all my expectations, every single one,
now i just have to look out for more reviews based on quality but so far seems solid to me
i just realised that your voice/over sounds quite nice.

Motlaq AlMutairi Just linked it. Sorry! mcmx.in/1KvauOr
Totally OK. Great video :)
Do you know if you can charge this device wireless??
very good review,,but can u compare the oneplus 2 with sony xperia z series phones ..i mean in camera megapixels etc
Dom, What about the OTG support and what happens when fingerprint scanner scans wrong fingerprint. Hope both the points you coverup or show them in your next video I'M WAITING...! Thanku.
Loving this device. Going to wait for the reviews to come out and see what we're dealing with ...
Do we know if the 16gb will have the sandstone black back? I really hated the look of the plastic white back on the 1+1
can anybody tell me for what are the two contacts on the inside of the backcover are? 1:01
I mean NFC is not in the phone but what could it be?
how good is the speaker?
Hey, what's your intro song please ? :)
Can I get a link to that wallpaper...it looks cool.
Its not a flagship killer.. its just a cheap flagship
ImRedBlueGreen and it kills flagship.
Frederik Nolte in what way exactly? price only yeah?
specs
Frederik Nolte Another idiot who think specs mean everything rofl...sorry but this phone is pure junk just like the first.
Yes it is does matter on Android platforms. I would say only iOS doesn't matter.
what do you think of OnePlus 2 after the Motorola Moto X Style announcement? Will you do a comparison between the two since they have similar price point? Mainly the screen comparison. Thanks
Is it easier to shoot footage in landscape now that the camera is positioned further from the sides unlike the majority of the phones out there which I find easy for my finger to accidentally cover the lenses?
Sounds very nice indeed
***** what are the 2 connectors on cover that appear at 1:01 from your video? Can you share some lights about it?
Are you gonna compare the front facing camera with other phones like GS6, G4, and iP6?
Does someone have a link to that background on the new Oneplus? Looks so sick
Might be a stupid question but does the one plus two have a front selfie cam???
a very good review,,but can u compare the oneplus 2 with sony xperia z series phones

I love it when we need an invite (sarcastic voice included)
Does this phone supports OTG??
Can you tell me if opt has a brightness sensor and a notification lamp?
OTG compatible?
great video
The site for skins is great!
Does it have the option to shoot RAW stills like the Oneplus One on Cyanogenmod?
Yep
MKBHD says it's not
Django Groen he didn't say much about this phone yet. They did say that it will come with an update very soon.
That option is coming in a future update
It is an awesome video....thumbs up
This video sounds like an advert
what's the black bar under the camera
Nice Review , please let me know how you got one so soon . I really want one. :)

Great review. Can't wait to buy this device.
I can't wait to get mine, already have the one.
Can you shoot in RAW on the 2.
Nice. Looking forward to getting this one. Fan of OnePlus one.
Is it worth buying as i need a new phone (around the same price)
Is it just me or does this guy have the best intro music?
Hey Dom, Im new tio this channel and looking to buy an oneplus 2. However i live in Australia and wondering if the US version will work on optus like calls texts 3G but i dont rlly mid if 4G LTE doesnt work all the time.
For my birthday in September, I might buy a OnePlus Two and a Sony Smartwatch 3.
Ben Melling Just what I was thinking while watching this video! (And my b'day is in September too!)
Md. Abdul Ahad Chowdhury cool. With the smartwatch as well or just the oneplus two?
No, not the smartwatch. I got a Moto 360 just this month!
I would love a moto 360 but it's more expensive so it won't fit in to my 'budget' for my birthday
Yeah, Moto 360 is on the high-budget side. Fortunately, I got mine during the $100 discount.
does it has fm radio?
A quick crisp but detailed review, only factor which seems NFC. Correct me if I'm wrong here.. but great video *****
Cool. Two nano sims and the usb c are very nice features especially with this price.
Time to sell my 1+one and maybe iphone6(?) ;)
