It is weird how height is associated with a person’s personality. I’ve always struggled with being short and looking younger, so this is a good reminder that I need to make up for it with having more confidence in myself. These actors certainly didn’t let their height influence their success.

People are often struck when they see actors in real life: they are often short with small bodies and large heads. It makes sense that this body type is preferred in film with the emphasis on close-ups for acting.
Exactly right. Mel Gibson has a freakishly large melon, for instance. I was a little surprised at just how skinny Cumberbatch is though. With the large head and attenuated body, he looked a bit like a mantis getting into a cab.
Sometimes depending on your body proportions you can appear taller or shorter than you are. My husband is a tall 6’5” however he is torso tall which makes him appear shorter. He’s a teacher. From far away he looks around 6’2” 6’3” when you stand next to him, it’s a different story.

My husband used to say he was 6 ft. We are exactly the same height, and I am not 6 ft. tall! After we were married for 30 years, he was 5ft. 9, same as me. I think guys feel pressured that their virility is sometimes based on their height, and not on how they do the horizontal tango....I would like to tell every guy that height doesn't really matter, but I was very self conscious about being too tall as a kid, so I get it, height is a weird thing people make judgements on.

Lol, yeah...I tend to look at the footwear in Stallone's movies, Vin Diesel too, because they like playing those tough guy types. They'll often wear thicker soled black boots, so it's not easy to spot.

I also bumped into Richard Keel... he was NOT short. When I turned around to say "excuse me", I felt like I was looking at a belt buckle, and then looked up and managed to squeak out my apology, he just smiled, and in his deep voice said "it's okay". The one who surprised me to be a little on the shorter side compared to his Marvel costars (I’ve met a few) is Tom Holland but he makes up for it in personality, he’s a big sweetheart
I've always known that Tom is on the smaller side, but it's when you seen him with Zendaya that you realize just how short he is. At 5ft10 Zendaya is pretty tall for a girl. but she is at roundabout the same height as the global average for men. Tom does more than make up for his height deficiency with his personality
I would argue that for the females, anywhere from 5’ 1 to 5’4 would be more normal a height for a female than say 5’6 or higher. Although I’ve always been jealous of those girls and wanted to be taller than my 5’3 For guys I would say anything below say 5’10 would be considered short but more frequently we’ve seen the average height for guys be more like 5’6 to 5’9 and taller guys to kind of be the outlier

It that damaged his hips. Unfortunately, his many surgeries lead him in taking medical prescription fentanyl, which led to his death. In the early 90s, my husband was working as a sound engineer at Larabee Studios in West Hollywood, and I helped out at the front sometimes, because it was so fun, and Prince came out of one of the rooms and man! Was he TINY!!! He was wearing high heels, and his hair was in a high pompadour. To work in! I don't know how he could stand in those things all day, high heels practically ruined my back, I wore combat boots after my 20s...

I looked up the heights of the Kardashian family -Kris (mother): 5'6" -Robert (father): 5'7" -Kourtney (first-born child and first daughter): 5'1" -Kim (second child and second daughter): 5'2" -Khloe (third child and third daughter): 5'10" -Rob (youngest child and only son): 5'11" First, as the Kardashian siblings go from older to younger, they go from shortest to tallest; it's appropriate that Rob would be taller than his younger sisters. Second, this shows how random and even unfair genetics can be in regard to height; it's unfair to Kourtney and Kim. I've got a few examples from my own family. -On my mother's side --My mom is both the youngest of three siblings and the shortest at 5'4". Her sister, my aunt, is the oldest and is 5'6". Their brother, my uncle, the middle child is the tallest at 6'3". He told me he's been that since he was twelve (like how Will Smith has been 6'2" since he was thirteen). As for their parents, my grandparents, my grandmother was 5'9" and my grandfather was 5'8 1/2" (he found out he grew an inch-and-a-half during his time in the Marine Corps). --Speaking of my grandmother, she has two brothers. One of my granduncles is 5'10". The other granduncle used to be short for his age, but eventually grew to be 6'4". As for THEIR parents, my great-grandparents, my great-grandmother was 5'2" and my great-grandfather was 6'0". --The granduncle I said was 6'4"? He had two daughters with his wife who definitely take after their mother in height. My grandaunt and my two cousins are all no taller than 5'4". -On my father's side --His mother, my grandmother, is the oldest of nine siblings and the shortest at 5'3". The rest of her siblings were all either of average or above-average height, including one sister, my grandaunt, who is/was 5'10"-5'11". Among them was also a brother, my granduncle, who was 5'10" (though considering he was a high school football player who enlisted in the Marines, you can imagine that he was a jacked 5'10"). --His father's brother (who was probably around 5'10" like my dad and grandpa or maybe a little shorter) had three sons with his wife who is above-average height. Their second and third sons are probably around the same height as my dad, but the oldest son is 6'6". -Then, there's me. Between a 5'4" mother and a 5'10" father, I'm barely 5'10". Depending on the time of day and whether or not I got a decent night's sleep, I'm like 5'8"-5'9". Considering my mother's brother is 6'3" and THEIR mother's brother was 6'4", you'd think the pattern would continue and I would be 6'2", but nooooooooo! Life's not fair.
It's interesting that people focus on the height of short men like myself (5'-5") and note that the average American height is 5'-9". Yeah, well, the average weight is 197.9 pounds with a 40-inch waist. Should I be depressed if I'm not average? The average American woman is just under 5'-4" and weighs 170.6 pounds with a 38 inch waist. We should not be too concerned if we are under average height. I think that we've got bigger, I mean smaller fish to fry, I mean broil.

i'm 6ft5, and not that i think they are short, but i often forget just how tall i am against actors like Chris Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson. Now The Rock is my exactly my height, but his larger-than-life physique makes him appear taller to me. So basically i'm taller than Thor (190cm). Which all means one thing, i need to get in shape!
In terms of rock musicians who are a lot shorter than they'd seem due to their larger-than-life persona and stage presence, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is one to include. He comes off as pretty tough and intimidating, especially during live performances (his muscular frame adds to it), but he's actually 5'7" in height.
Been to Stallone’ s house years ago. He’s certainly short. I was only 12 or so that was the first thing I noticed. Met a couple others here but none surprising except Stallone since I was young and no internet then, to make shallow videos about height (that I’m now participating in😂) in early 90’s. He was known to wear elevator shoes too along with some others here.

I looked up the heights of the Kardashian family
-Kris (mother): 5'6"
-Robert (father): 5'7"
-Kourtney (first-born child and first daughter): 5'1"
-Kim (second child and second daughter): 5'2"
-Khloe (third child and third daughter): 5'10"
-Rob (youngest child and only son): 5'11"
First, as the Kardashian siblings go from older to younger, they go from shortest to tallest; it's appropriate that Rob would be taller than his younger sisters.
Second, this shows how random and even unfair genetics can be in regard to height; it's unfair to Kourtney and Kim. I've got a few examples from my own family.
-On my mother's side
--My mom is both the youngest of three siblings and the shortest at 5'4". Her sister, my aunt, is the oldest and is 5'6". Their brother, my uncle, the middle child is the tallest at 6'3". He told me he's been that since he was twelve (like how Will Smith has been 6'2" since he was thirteen). As for their parents, my grandparents, my grandmother was 5'9" and my grandfather was 5'8 1/2" (he found out he grew an inch-and-a-half during his time in the Marine Corps).
--Speaking of my grandmother, she has two brothers. One of my granduncles is 5'10". The other granduncle used to be short for his age, but eventually grew to be 6'4". As for THEIR parents, my great-grandparents, my great-grandmother was 5'2" and my great-grandfather was 6'0".
--The granduncle I said was 6'4"? He had two daughters with his wife who definitely take after their mother in height. My grandaunt and my two cousins are all no taller than 5'4".
-On my father's side
--His mother, my grandmother, is the oldest of nine siblings and the shortest at 5'3". The rest of her siblings were all either of average or above-average height, including one sister, my grandaunt, who is/was 5'10"-5'11". Among them was also a brother, my granduncle, who was 5'10" (though considering he was a high school football player who enlisted in the Marines, you can imagine that he was a jacked 5'10").
--His father's brother (who was probably around 5'10" like my dad and grandpa or maybe a little shorter) had three sons with his wife who is above-average height. Their second and third sons are probably around the same height as my dad, but the oldest son is 6'6".
-Then, there's me. Between a 5'4" mother and a 5'10" father, I'm barely 5'10". Depending on the time of day and whether or not I got a decent night's sleep, I'm like 5'8"-5'9". Considering my mother's brother is 6'3" and THEIR mother's brother was 6'4", you'd think the pattern would continue and I would be 6'2", but nooooooooo!

It's interesting that people focus on the height of short men like myself (5'-5") and note that the average American height is 5'-9". Yeah, well, the average weight is 197.9 pounds with a 40-inch waist. Should I be depressed if I'm not average?
The average American woman is just under 5'-4" and weighs 170.6 pounds with a 38 inch waist.
We should not be too concerned if we are under average height. I think that we've got bigger, I mean smaller fish to fry, I mean broil.

i'm 6ft5, and not that i think they are short, but i often forget just how tall i am against actors like Chris Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson. Now The Rock is my exactly my height, but his larger-than-life physique makes him appear taller to me. So basically i'm taller than Thor (190cm). Which all means one thing, i need to get in shape!

In terms of rock musicians who are a lot shorter than they'd seem due to their larger-than-life persona and stage presence, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails is one to include. He comes off as pretty tough and intimidating, especially during live performances (his muscular frame adds to it), but he's actually 5'7" in height.

Been to Stallone’ s house years ago. He’s certainly short. I was only 12 or so that was the first thing I noticed. Met a couple others here but none surprising except Stallone since I was young and no internet then, to make shallow videos about height (that I’m now participating in😂) in early 90’s. He was known to wear elevator shoes too along with some others here.
