It’s true that Pomni never got to actually meet Kaufmo, but it was nice that Ragatha invited her to his funeral, bc it was there that finally helped her realize that she not just going to be trapped there in the digital world alone, and that she won’t just be left to abstract, and be discarded and forgotten. She’ll have the others there to remind her that she has them, and they all have each other.
The reason for all the teapots goes far back in computer modeling history. It is known as the Utah Teapot and it's creation is due to it's creator needing a simple object to put into the computer for graphical experiments. The teapot model worked so well that it was made public for any artist to use and then became a standard shape that would be included in 3D modeling software.
Fun fact : when Jax said "I'm so unbelievably disappointed right now", in french they actually made him say the meme "my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined" 😂😂

I guess many people have missed the point of the funeral scene...
The episode opens up with Pomni having a nightmare of abstracting and being thrown out....No one remembers her, no one is bothered she is gone, they're even mocking her as she falls...
But the funeral scene shows that even though it doesn't seem this way - they love and cherrish each other, and if Pomni abstracts one day - she may rest peacefully, knowing there are people who will remember her, and mourn her death...
I mean, at least Ragatha is always showing care towards her and the rest
@@xkxkxkxer Yes, but that care is sometimes not sincere - it's quite obvious Ragatha was hurt when Pomni left her, even though she pretends to not care

@@xkxkxkxer I think the point was that Pomni DOESN’T know that Ragatha actually cares until the funeral. For all she knows, Ragatha is just another person losing her mind and is just being ‘annoyingly’ talkative and nosey to cope. Not actually caring about Pomni in the slightest and would brush off her ‘death’ the moment it happens and move onto the next person.

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS AND NO WHERE TO PUT THEM SO HERE YA GO.
I loved the main theme of the episode being that not only is Pomni afraid of abstraction, but she's afraid that no one would care if she 'died', and that'd mean that she meant nothing to any of these people. BECAUSE in the first episode, not only when Kaufmo abstracted, but also when Zooble was literally torn to pieces by the gloinks, the other characters sort of joked about it and didn't really take it seriously (the only one who did was Gangle, and even Ragatha didn't say anything about Zooble being taken). We know now that's because Zooble wasn't actually in danger, since they don't technically 'die', but since it was day one for Pomni, it came off as if no one actually cared about each other on a deep level. That her nightmare would literally be how they'd feel if she 'died', since no one but Zooble and Kinger said anything about being upset by Kaufmo's abstraction. The funeral showed her that no, actually everyone does care to some degree and would be sad if she abstracted, meaning she'd mean something to these people in the end. BUT BUT BUT, on the same train of thought, the most interesting part of this episode for me was Zooble. Firstly, she clearly hates or resents Caine in some way. She doesn't just hate the adventures, but immediately rejected the adventure once Caine mentioned there were NPC's involved. He tried to be like 'but they're super immersive!' but she wasn't having it. This episode told us that Zooble cares a lot about the members of the circus, and about life/other people in general while Caine doesn't value the NPC's at all, because why would he? Her also waiting for Caine to leave and for everyone to get back for the funeral also showed something intriguing. She doesn't like that Caine is (almost) constantly watching over them. She wasn't just waiting for everyone to attend the funeral, but to hold it specifically when Caine wouldn't be there. I hope someone enjoyed reading this mess.

Awesome fact: Kevin temmer the leader animator of "The Amazing Digital Circus" was a former employee animator at Blue Sky Studios (the same animation studio that brought us "The Ice Age Franchise", "Rio Franchise" and many others). Which also explains why in 12:28 when Pomni was stuck between two trucks and her arms stretch was a reference to Scrat from Ice Age 2.
Gangle is an anime fan. Probably related to figurine thing.
33:02 if you look closely at Jax, you can notice him getting sad at the mention of Kaufmo before shrugging it off. I thought that was a really sad detail :(
While Caine definitely is antagonistic (and frustrating) he's not inherently evil. He's just doing his job, trying to keep the inhabitants of the circus from going insane by giving them adventures to go on, unfortunately, he's bad at reading human social cues.
Hey Steven been a fan since 50k! I was hoping if you’d consider reacting to the rainimator I’m craft music series he has them organized by seasons so it’s easy to watch in order I personally think it’s really good anyway keep up the great work man!
I don't know if you noticed but at the end, the arm that grabbed pomni while she was falling in her sleep before abstracting was Kaufmo.
