@AlazarballI think that was in the original. In the storyboarding phase, temporary music is used for animators to time movements, while the composer is working out the final version, or working on other projects in tandem.
Thank you for sharing this. I've always wanted to hear the demo arrangements of the music used in Animaniacs and this is the first one I've ever gotten to hear. The unused animations are incredible to see as well. Interestingly, it sounds like the demos use sequenced arrangements rather than live performances. Wish I could see more of that workflow and I hope more shows up in the future. Your work contributing to visually bringing this cartoon to life is incredible. Thanks again!
Things that were changed for the final color version from 1:56-3:42: 1:59-2:00: The cel for Louisiana and Indiana appear earlier than they do in the final color version. 2:08-2:09: Wakko points to Idaho more freely, while in the final color version, he stops pointing beneath the capital star. 2:18: Most people won't notice this, but New Mexico's cel appears slightly later than in the final color version. 2:20-2:25: Wakko plays the violin when he says this, and he walks and dances, this didn't happen in the final color version. 2:25-2:26: Wakko moves his bow around New Jersey. 2:26-2:28: He plays the violin rather than pointing at the state like in the final color version. 2:28-2:29: Wakko plays the violin and moves around expressively. 2:29-2:30: Wakko moves his foot and bends his knees while naming South Dakota. 2:30-2:31: Wakko moves his bow around Pennsylvania in every which way. 2:31-2:34: While naming Maine and Rhode Island, Wakko plays the violin and steps. 2:34-2:36: Wakko points to Delaware more expressively than in the final color version. 2:36-2:37: The cels were apparently shrunken down and repositioned in this shot for the final color version, and the same can be said until 2:46, but the visuals are still the same. 2:38: The leap to Vermont is more compressed than in the final color version. 2:41: The leap to Connecticut is also more compressed. 2:42-2:44: The leap to Kansas is longer and more expressive, and it takes him shorter to to position himself. While it is shorter and takes him longer to postion himself in the final color version. 2:44-2:46: The visuals are mostly unchanged, but the scrolling background is longer while he leaps twice to Minnesota, and the sudden movement at the end of the shot is absent. 2:57-2:58: The background for this shot was changed for the final color version, and the cels were shruken and slightly repostioned. 3:01-3:02: The unused background is the same as Wisconsin's. And Wakko sits on Michigan, while holding his violin in his right hand, pointing at the star with his left hand, and winking his right eye at the end of the shot. 3:05-3:10: Wakko's leap from Mississipi to Illinois is later and more expressive, as with the prior animation in the shot. He also move around expressively when naming South Carolina. 3:10: In the final color version, Wakko walks a great distance to Maryland, while here he leaps to it. 3:10-3:13: Wakko's poses line up with the beginning of the next shot. 3:19-3:23: In addition to the background being changed for the final color version, Wakko's cel is placed more lower on the screen, and the buffallo appear later. 3:23-3:35: Wakko moves around more expressively, like when he links Oregon to Arkansas, he moves his bow in the air from the right to the left. And in addition to Iowa and California being part of the shot, he's also more epressive while naming them. 3:35-3:39: In addition to the country itself being changed, Wakko's cel is slightly smaller than in the final color version. And the number of in betweens for the key frame that starts when Wakko says "Carson" is 1 more than in the final colored version. 3:39-3:42: The ending is more expressive, and his leap to Ms. Flamiel's desk takes place later and is longer. Edit: The song's pitch was changed to be more in line with the new animation.
Okay I will say all the differences. 1. The letters from the screens 2. Wakko was waiting to say but it wasnt shown to the final version 3. After miss flamiel says that wakko can wager part of his money, he looked down to his results (not shown in the final) 4. Little pause from miss flamiel 5.It was shown when Flamiel said The names of all 50 staes and their capitols 6. Little pause of wakko 7. and the Okay was seen sticking his tongue 8.Wakko brings a chalkboard , and draws america in a cartoony way (that is because of multiple wakkos, a classic technique of cartoons) 9.Shows wakko dusting his hands 10. When saying Elvis used to hang out there you know, he still was playing the fiddle. CUTE UwU 11. He walks in a different pattern 12. The part since trentons in new jersey, He still was playing the violin. Cute x2 13. from virginia, He was Ducking 14. At Michigan, He was in the opposite position and he had the fiddle in his hand. 15.At maryland He still played the fiddle Cute x3 16 At Utah, a little difference , Wakko Was downer 17 Georgia, north dakota, Kentucky He was shown expressive like he had half opened eyes and then ,he closed them like and angel, Still playing the fiddle 18 Also at salem Expressing while playing fiddle,Kawaii 19 From sacramento was closing his eyes and raising his arms with glee just like the sun AND THAT WAS ALL

The tune is not right dough
Some of the scenes during the song itself were completely redone for the final cut, I believe by Jon McClenahan.
Beautiful absolutely beautiful also the vocals are so clear and clean
