Speaking of dropping the lens. I dropped my XT3/18-55 on the carpet. It must’ve hit in the worst possible way because the lens broke off from the mounting ring, leaving the ring still mounted but the lens went rolling away. Then there was something loose rattling inside the lens. I sent it to get repaired a few weeks ago for $250 but Fuji still has it. At least nothing happened to the glass.

horror stories...glad it didn't hurt the glass, that probably would have made the repair costs skyrocket.

You do know it's not a '2.8' lens, it's a 2.8-4, variable aperture?
Yes, I mention that at the 1:40 mark that 2.8 only works at the widest focal length and then it starts dropping off as you zoom
