    After watching this I returned my PRS Custom 22 and bought a Nik Huber Krautster.

      i returned my 58 custom reissue and bought a krautster ii. no one on this planet, who ever held one of these guitars in his hand, can withstand it. they are flawless and the nothing feels as good to play.

    Anyone that doesn’t like Paul Reed Smith doesn’t like normal people. He’s a human being. Love it.
    He shared his hard earned knowledge for no personal gain, and when his company criticised him he said “There’s plenty of sunshine...”. That’s Paul Reed Smith.

    My gosh this interview is so informative & inspiring. Thanks Premier Guitar!!

    That was fun! And very interesting to learn for Nik Hubert... I heard a lot about his guitars quality, but knowing Paul was his mentor/teacher, it explains a lot now, just like McCarty was for Paul! It will be interesting to follow whom Nik will teach in the coming years...

      And many times Paul Reed-Narcissist.

    One day Paul will explode out of his "friendly" pompousness. We'll just hear "bum" & we'll all know.

    “There’s plenty of sunshine shut up”
    Damn *slow clap*
    Good ol Paul

    Paul Reed-Narcissist... he sucks the oxygen out of any interview. It would be interesting if Ted McCarty were here to put Paul in his place. Nik's work is stunning and the fact that he's naturally humble makes me want to own one of his instruments... because I know that there is love built in to it.

    Paul Reed Smith is the guy. Maybe that's why he and Ted McCarthy became close friends. It was natural to happen. He gave meaningful hints to another luthier, a potential competitor as said by someone at PRS.

      (I was just kidding about the "there" ) but totally agree on your post. Paul never really holds back and whatever mood he's in...he will really say what is on his mind which is always interesting and insightful.

    Very cool to hear these guys, and an honor to have my material in both their products (Nik doesn't use it yet, but ordered samples), which proves they are open to new ideas.

    3:20 agree w you Paul, what the heck is a set-neck?? it's either a glued-in neck or bolt-on neck.

    • @insomniumanathema6696
      @insomniumanathema6696 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      or a neck-though, lol

    • @fearnpol4938
      @fearnpol4938 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s called a set neck because the neck joint is set into the body, it’s a very old woodworking term.

  • @LiberTBo

    I think Paul is stoned....he's normally not that laid back. At Paul's age drinking and getting a buzz on occasionally isn't all that bad. You never see the women around a PRS booth and I wonder why that is?
