It means a lot to me since I had a special place in my heart for Africa and as I finally made it, I am happy to share my very first impression of Namibia with you. Join me on this Namibia travel vlog as I arrive for the first ever in Namibia or rather should I say - visit for the first time in Africa. Watch how we literally walk from the aircraft to the airport gate on foot as we've landed after more than 11 hours of flight from Germany to Windhoek Namibia. Experience the amazing energy and overwhelming excitement as we drive through the beautiful wild streets of Namibia from the Hosea Kutako International Airport to Windhoek city - the capital of Namibia. And much more...

    If you think you’re going to some typical jungle looking place, traveling to Namibia, you’ll be sadly mistaken. It’s very modern 😂😂😂.

    • @travelwithpeace1
      @travelwithpeace1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you Thomas. Well, I'm glad to inform you that I've already been all over the country and I have covered more than enough of real raw African land including vast poor areas and tribal communities. Although not exactly jungles and rather deserts but my my main focus wasn't on the modern parts of Namibia the likes of windhoek or Swakopmund. I did not come to Namibia to meet the white Germans. I came to see the true Namibian people, those who struggle for their daily living. Like the people of Katutura for example and it surely was an amazing experience.

    • @tipsy3
      @tipsy3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s the thing with you guys. You believe only white Namibians live a standard modern life. The average Namibian lives a standard middle class life. Less that 40% of people “struggle”. Ask the people you meet and let them tell you. I’m a black Namibia. The majority of us did not grow up struggling, but probably enjoying a better life than you did. The average white Namibian lives the same life standard as the average Namibian now. Stop bullshiting everyone and demeaning black people. A lot of you tourists look for the poorest of people and want them to tell you what life is like in Namibia. I was born in Namibia and lived there. I know what Namibian life is like. I don’t need a lecture from you about traveling the whole Namibia, who real Namibians are, and where they live. I grew up in Oshakati, in northern Namibia. My father was a soldier and my mom a nurse. We had a 3 bedroom house, with a total of 8 rooms, a garage, a 30x30m yard, and 2 cars. We had cable tv, Nintendo games, bicycles, went to private school, and always had more than enough food and clothing. And we were 7 kids. Stop spreading your fake narrative bro. You have ZERO idea what you’re talking about. You’re confused. The minority are the people who are struggling. Not the majority.

    • @tipsy3
      @tipsy3 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Show me someone who believes black people only live in poverty or cannot live outside of it, and I’ll show you a real racist.

    • @tipsy3
      @tipsy3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you think it’s just a coincidence that many Namibians and Africans feel this way? It’s because we’re sick and tired of misleading one-sided narratives from people like you. I am sorry to seem like I am attacking you, but I have to set the record straight. I speak for the majority of Africans when I say, stop undermining us. If you’re looking for poverty, go find it in the corners of your own country. Stop demeaning us for clicks, and stop making false assumptions. You speak to a cab driver and think he represents the entire black population. How about you talk to an educated person, who can give you all the correct info you need.
      You guys land in Africa, get into a cab, and the 1st question you ask is: “Where are the poorest districts/neighborhood?” You get there, then you whip out your camera and tell people this is how “non-white Africans” live. The majority of the “nice” houses you drive by in Whk are owned by black people, genius 🤦🏾‍♂️.

    • @travelwithpeace1
      @travelwithpeace1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tipsy3 Thank you Tom for your input. I'm not planning to open an argument with you in any way. I will only way "for the sake of setting the record straight" as you said, Don't ever make assumptions or come to conclusions before you asked me first if in fact what you claim against me is true! Well, in this case IT WAS YOUR OWN LOCAL BLACK NAMIBIAN PEOPLE *who asked me* to come over to Katutura and show the world "THE REAL NAMIBIA" that your government doesn't want to show outsiders - IN THEIR EXACT WORDS, NOT MINE!. More than that I will not contribute to this argument. Thank you 👍
