@@txmarine82 The new defender is as much use as a hairdryer, the classic design as Tom's will always be in demand. Ford Rangers are good, I have had a few, as company vehicles, but they will never appreciate in value. As of now I have a Hilux.
Tom, my good sir ..I've just taken on a finca and shepards corral in the foothills of the Els Ports mountain range near the spanish cost..and by lord do I need a 4x4 ..I'll fly over and drive it back at the drop of a hat...believe me it'll be loved and put to good use ...and it will carry on the being a legend
Recently sold my 1976 Series 3 Land Rover, in the process of rebuilding a 1974 Series 3. Great icon vehicles. Good luck with your sale, you won’t have any difficulty selling that one. 🤩🇬🇧🚜👍
YIPPEE !! A Sunday video with the Ginger Guy EXCELLENT British engineering history right there and a Land Rover for sale A little bit of tlc Thanks guys Take care all Back UK farmer's 🇬🇧 Geoff
Ginger warrior should be a car salesman ! The next model Defender was full of all the electronics - bells and whistles that go wrong, known by some as a laptop on wheels, and was hated by many. This one is the basic, easy to maintain model, love it.
I wish it was in the US as I would love to have a simple smaller truck/SUV for around the farm and short trips to town. Simple dependable vehicles are hard to find here. Looked at a two year old smaller pickup here and they wanted $55K for it. The last time I spent that much money it had a deed with it. LOL
The string to the throttle cabel story reminds me of when my father had to do that when our car broke down, we drove round with the sting throttle for weeks till he could get it fixed.
I'm no Land Rover fan but I'd be getting rid of the Ranger before the defender. Since moving away I really miss our regular visits to your shop for great food and milk etc and the occasional chat with auntie Jean whilst outside looking at the Highlands etc. Have a great Christmas Tom, Andrew and family.
Absolutely smashing car that is, I'm in the market for an off reader that can do a bit of work as I'm a forester / hybrid arborist. Absolutely great car that if I had the money I'd buy that up real quick!
The best line was the metal mice 😂😂. I’m going to borrow that one. If I had the room I’d jump at that but sadly I don’t anymore. Tom you’re dad could sell sand to the Arabs 😂😂
You know it's built to last when the bonnet (hood) prop is as thick as a broom handle. Pop going down the Taps in his beach buggy for a New Years day run, pre birthday? Mine on the 10th, did an open top Austin 7 Chummy in the snow before now.!! 👍🇬🇧
Comedy gold from the Ginger Warrior "Land rovers drip oil to mark their territory" 🤣. Great video Tom, a change from the norm but interesting non the less. I hope you manage a swift sale for it at a good price. What vehicle will you put the personalised plates on next. 🤔.
Came to the comments to see all the fans screaming about keeping it because it'll be worth money to enthusiasts. It's not worth anything sitting rotting away unused in a shed. It's better going to someone who will use it, maybe restore it but probably adapt it for off roading. I love my old defenders but if you're not mechanically minded or don't have the time and space for DIY repairs they become money pits.
119th! Happy Sunday morning Tom,Luke, Hiedie, Anna, Hanna and the ginger warrior with a mustache, along with all the other people who are working on the farm. Was your father a used car salesman at any time in his life? Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA
Has “Tricky Ricky’s” (gas monkey) identity been revealed! Is it the GW in disguise! Would you trust this man? Is Pemberton Farm shop now a used car lot?❤❤❤ nice one
I bought a 1990 landrover defender 110 similar to that 2 years ago, just needed a wee patch on the chassis and a corner on the bulkhead 😂 The more you poke, the worse they are! Ended up in a full restoration, Galvanized chassis, galvanized bulkhead. The corrosion is unreal where rusty steel touches the aluminum…. They’re definitely a labour of love
It’s best to get rid of it as you can’t go anywhere and leave it because it won’t be there when you go back to it as a defender owner mine is kept in the garage at all time except when I go out in it no matter what anti theft devices you have the scum bags will still take it 🤬
Tom your dad is a legend. He knows his stuff. He reminds me of my grandad when he was alive.
A perfectly imperfect land-rover that. Unmolested and a great colour ❤
That’ll drag Tom’s Ranger to the scrap yard.
Defender will only go up in value, ranger will only go south.
Maybe there. Not here in the states. Defenders are shite. Plastic things. That Land Rover is a beast. Wish I had it here in Texas on my ranch.

I love your videos on your Fathers Love for Automobiles! ❤
Love the "..marking their territory.." line. Superb!

One less option to pull the Ford clear whenever Tom goes sightseeing
That Land Rover is like gold here in the USA
How much would a sound, resprayed one like this be over there?
Your Dad 👨 is mint 👌 reminds me of my uncle a spades a spade down to earth
I love the old Land Rovers, the new Defender is just another Chelsea tractor.
Having driven and appreciated(?) many defenders and counties, I was horrified to see the new ones. Ridiculous. Chelsea tractor is an apt description.
Once you have driven a new one you will maybe appreciate it too.
@@Andy_72 but then I'd look like a twat. 🤷♂️
😂😂 fair enough
This was a great Sunday video. Really fun

YIPPEE !!

British engineering history right there and a Land Rover for sale
A little bit of tlc

Back UK farmer's 🇬🇧
Geoff
What an idea for a collaboration video Ginger Pemberton and Derek Mathewson doing machinery/car reviews
Make it happen Tom!!
Tom: "That's like a smoker's thing" ... The Ginger Warrior: "An ashtray!" ... Showing your youth, Tom!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I have a series 1 - I park it in your place sometime when I’m in for milk shakes. 😊
Great video Tom and Andrew it will be sold in a hour.
Same as my 90, 19J engines are so much better than their reputation.
Its not actually a defender, it's a 90, The defender name was introduced with the introduction of the 200tdi engine
It’s as close as you can get to a defender with it actually being a defender
Also, she will be one of the last few that were made using metal and not Chinesium tin
Mines a H reg 90, looks like one of the very last 2.5 engines to go in
Dad would make a great car salesman.......... love it!..
That old land rover will have probably outlived 10 EVs and will probably again give you back more than you paid for it a great old bus ❤️
Sell it to Crawford, he might be able to make one good one out of the 3 😅
Excellent idea.
He'd have three broken Landy's
I need a 3rd for when my 2 are broken down to be fair…
Tom or mark cassel might buy it f
I like you dad Tom he's mint
Love a Sunday video

Loved my LandRovers, first one had individual windscreen wipers!
Keep the defender last of the good ones. In regards to the Ford Ranger 😮 expensive repairs on the way Tom.
How do you know a land rover has run out of oil.
It stops leaking 😂😂
Morning Tom
Hi good afternoon Tom from Indiana
Tom syndicate would love this defender

I have a galvanised chassis 90, no rust, resprayed, looks mean, same spec as this - what's that worth over there?
What a sales pitch, diversify and go into selling second hand cars between milkings.
The string to the throttle cabel story reminds me of when my father had to do that when our car broke down, we drove round with the sting throttle for weeks till he could get it fixed.
D👍 Good to see Andrew in his element
I'm no Land Rover fan but I'd be getting rid of the Ranger before the defender.

Merry Christmas Tom and Andrew
Remember when you and Jo picked up a highland bull and the gas cable broke
@Crawfordsfarm needs another Defender!
No smoke no poke
bg Goodridge tyres are awesome Tom i have 225/70/16 on a Vivaro van and they have done me 15k miles easily and they still have 5/6mm tread
You know it's built to last when the bonnet (hood) prop is as thick as a broom handle. Pop going down the Taps in his beach buggy for a New Years day run, pre birthday? Mine on the 10th, did an open top Austin 7 Chummy in the snow before now.!! 👍🇬🇧
Crawfords farm will buy he loves them and his are always braking down lol
Don't give that Landover away Tom they are rare and collectable
The 90 isn't that rare that model was made for 26 years only the series 1 and 2 are rare as hens teeth
He's asking 6,600 to start.
Funky farmer & farmer hazza
Big mistake Tom. You should keep your defender. They are a collectors item now.
That Land Rover would work here for me for sure. Merry Christmas and a happy new years2025 have a safe holiday.
Tom , Your dad’s been in the wrong profession 😂 definitely sounds like a car salesman 🤣🤣
Comedy gold from the Ginger Warrior "Land rovers drip oil to mark their territory" 🤣. Great video Tom, a change from the norm but interesting non the less. I hope you manage a swift sale for it at a good price. What vehicle will you put the personalised plates on next. 🤔.
DG - Gloucester registration!
Good video Tom
Good luck selling the Defender.
As unrefined as they are, people just love old Land Rovers.
Phone Crawford he will take her off your hands 😂
I think your dad should become main sales man at rea valley😂
keep it tom! it will still be going when your ranger is in the garage😂. oh and where is the wife these days not seen her in ages?
I will buy the defender
Looks class! :)
Don’t sell the defender! Import it if you do… I remember when Tom and Jo picked up an animal and the throttle cable broke 🤣
Send it to Crawfords Farm. 😊
I was just going to say that, as he needs a 3rd one
The Labradors need a bit of comfort. 😊

I've got the same one! G Reg, same colour, even got the same dent in the left wing hah ha. Not far from you in Garstang.
You’ll regret it if you sell that!!
❤ from Norway
Land rovers a bit like triggers brush 😆👍🇬🇬
The Land Rover will out last that big numb Ford thingy you bought Tom.
The metal mice have had a go at it 😂😂😂 that right there is the best quote ive ever heard, i'm using that from now on 😂
They ain’t comfy but they what the badge on the front says. It get the job done and you love them or hate them.
But you will get top dollar for it.
Why did i have to think about Crawfords farm 😅.
I did too
What was the Ginge's favorite website again? Could not figure out what he said.
Shell make someone a good ride
👍👍👍
old Bury, Lancashire registration letters, pEN.
Put it in a shed and work on it over a few years 👌🏼 it'd be worth nice money 1 day
Keep it…. All time classic never be built again
Do not sell her. You can easily change the rear seats to forward facing from later models.
Sell it to crawford farms, the graveyard of defender's
Guys restore it
Good morning Mr Pembertons. 😊😅😊
My wife's Uncle had his stolen from his padlocked shed.
Very angry 😠 😡
