If you missed it, started a new Standard series for the week around Tournament decklists. Find the first installment here: th-cam.com/video/cwsKtszlzHs/w-d-xo.html Also still dealing with some lingering COVID side effects so voice not 100%, appreciate the patience
07:00 Leyline decks have winning T2 lines even with Heartfire Hero. Burn Together flings the damage twice, so T1 Hearfire, T2 pump spell + Burn Together is lethal as long as the pump spell isn't Felonious Rage. Felonious Rage is 18 damage, Monstrous Rage is 21, Turn Inside Out is 24.

@@MTGJoe interesting. im not entirely sure where i found the decklist then. Anyways, I've been very much enjoying fear of missing out with squee and forge to get double combat value
end of the day it's a game so if it's not fun for you taking a break or switching formats always something I encourage. Oddly enough this weekend all I played was omniscience draft and was having a blast
Mono red is super cheap to build and very efficient and fast so people tend to gravitate towards it. This leyline version is a bit more glass cannony than some past forms of mono red like when we had embercleave for example
Hand smoothing is required for Best of 1. It's especially healthy for mid/control decks because you need A MINIMUM OF 3 lands to win with midrange/control, while you only need to hit 2 lands when playing aggro decks, which is very (statistically) easy to achieve, even when playing fewer lands in the deck. As a matter of fact, RDW is also broken in BO3 and will probably have a high play rate during Worlds. The real issue with RDW and Boros Auras is their power level: they're simply too strong for the format. Boros Auras is a bit less strong in BO3 because you can sideboard more easily against it, but it's hard to sideboard against a deck that's able to kill you on turn 2 reliably, or is able to main deck 4x Urabrask's Forge.
Hardstuck percentages player speaking: I think if you’re a deck that wins before your opponent falls asleep, absolutely run cut down. However, in a best of 1 deck that aims to churn through a bunch of cards, sometimes disfigure being stackable is what saves you from losing to preacher

Is this the best video in the week?! I think 🤔 yes 🎉Wow! ❤
was the demon version of monoblack bloodletter with dross and demonic counsel too inefficient?
Wen't back a month in Bo1, only list with the counsel no dross was a rakdos variant with Rakdos for alt combo with Doomsday - that version was 51%
This version in Bo3 during same time period is at 59%

I've been playing dimir midrange in Bo1 and kept seeing that dimir control deck and I totally thought Jace was their only win con😅
why put in win conditions when you can just play more removal? - every control player's true desire
@@MTGJoe for real though, embrace the draw bracket!
Not gonna lie I'm kinda over this meta. I'm just saving my WC and gold for foundations. Thanks for the video though.

TY Joe. Recently got untapped premium after seeing the functionality here. Keep it up. I'll let you know what ideas I have going forward, cheers.
thanks for future sharing!
Cant believe that Dimir Mill Control is at 62.7 tried it an 0-5 straight. It's a ridiculous slow deck.
I’ve always wondered who is the one coming up with all of these decks ????!!? I don’t know how to do that skillfully !!! Fml
Some from creators, some from people brewing. Takes some time to get good at deck building
I only see mono red in platinum. Is mono red in its best form ever?

Yoooo joeeeee scmoooooooo wassssssssuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leyline is legit!!!!!!!! Love it and hate it !!
Remove hand smoothing from BO1 and all these aggro/fling problems go away.

Who isn’t playing cut down ???? Who?????????
