I went into a local store in Ottawa Canada to buy a Godin 5th Avenue with T-armond pickups...then saw some Eastmans hanging. I played a few and was pretty impressed. Then the store owner told me he had something in the basement I had to check out....he proceeded to pull out this guitar and case (mine has the bigsby). The moment I put it in my hands I knew I was taking it home. The sound is unreal....the lollar pickups are the best p90's i've ever played. Outstanding build and quality for what I paid which was $2400 Canadian (about $1800 USD)...a total steal. These guitars are incredible; I prefer this guitar way more than the Gibson 335 I used to own. I love the tones in your video....we have the exact same taste. I'd love to see a video on your rig. Cheers!
Wow, I thought the cleans were exquisite, then he kicked on the drive and that bridge tone...wowzers! What a sweet, well-balanced and versatile sound. I want one. I think it's funny how all the guitar TH-camrs are buying the China Epi Casinos, replacing the pickups with Lollars, redoing all the pots to CTS and new wires, changing hardware to Gotoh...so basically trying to spec it up exactly like this Eastman, for roughly the same money, but minus the hand-built craftsmanship and resale value. Um, where's the sense in that?
Some tasty playing dude. Love the Eastman casino. I went with he Bigsby just for something different. Love the look. They have such a lovely open sound. Sound great through a print stone or similar. I’m pairing with Christ Stapleton Princeton. Sounds so nice.
Great video! May I ask if you noticed any feedback? Also, were these pickups noisy? I’d really like a hollow body I’ve just heard stories of feedback with gain.
Very nice indeed Rick. Love that color. You make it sing no problem ❗Try not to cry when you give It back. Thanks for another great video❗I sure enjoy them. 👍👍👍
Rick, this is a really wonderful and dynamic review. Even with the reverb and whatever else you’re running, you can really hear the transparency and the dynamics in your playing that really bring this guitar out. I don’t know if I know you, but I’m from Jersey. Ken Fischer, Trainwreck Amps was my best friend. I just looked at one of these guitars yesterday at the Atlanta area. Acoustically they sound incredibly mid range lake but I don’t hear that here when it’s plugged in. I am trying to decide between the guitar, the T185 and the Romeo. I was going to bring in my Trainwreck to try out all three. But then I saw a couple of the staff guys getting really wide eyed, and I realized that it would turn into a Trainwreck party 🤣 Again, you’ve done a really good job showcasing this guitar. Your default seems to be the neck position and in a smooth, jazz contacts with a little bite. The guitar really shines in that atmosphere. You are helping me substantially in my decision making. I often have Guitars and I’m interested in to other good players, and see what they pull out of it within their comfort zone and outside of it. Great job here! Thank you
Thank you so much! The owner of this guitar strings it with flatwounds and that is a little weird to my fingers. This was a great comment to read. Thanks.
I picked up that orange Strat based on your recommendation. In a related noted I lust after this Eastman but the one with the bigsby. I have a single cut junior from Eastman, a very nice instrument.
Hi. It could be a problem. Sometimes you can position yourself far enough away from your amp or position your body between the guitar in the amp to help minimize that. It all depends on the kind of music you’re playing, how much gain you use, How sensitive to other musicians your drummer is. You might be better off with a T3 86 or better semihollow. I have videos on that guitar as well. Thank you so much for watching.
Awsomly smooth playing !! Never heard of those hand made guitar from China , looks like a cool Gibson , Well made and all ...Bone nut and all ..all good . You make it sing mate !!
No mudflap!!! Parallelograms!!! No center block makes it easy to bust over somebody's head... Where do you find bass strings in those guages??? Who would play above the 17th fret anyway...

Hey thanks for the kind words. My rig is usually listed in the description, but it changes all the time. Congrats on this fine guitar.

Good comment, Mr. This guitar feels better than a Casino, too. Thanks for watching.
Very soulful playing! Great sounding guitar!
The playing is mine. The guitar is not. Thanks for this nice comment.

Depends on how loudly you play and how much drive you use. It could feedback. These pickups are about the best I've heard though. Thanks!
Thanks Rick! Lovely playing
Great job on the review. Is the fretboard edge rounded or more squared-off? Thanks for any info you can provide.
I honestly don't remember. I'll look next time at rehearsal as it belongs to our drummer. Thanks for your kind comment.
@@RickRomanelli Much appreciated!
Great demo Rick, that sounded awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

@@RickRomanelli you are very welcome Rick. Wow. Flat wounds. I would have never guessed it. You made it snap.

Nice clean strumming area, very nice to play, and you played it well
Beautiful guitar Chip! Great playing my friend.
P90's FTW! Great job as always. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for the review. Would it feed back at jam volumes with a drummer? Wondering if I need a centre block?
